Yes you can use the free Contact Form 7 plugin to insert a form shortcode anywhere on the page.
Our reply times vary between 4-24 hours. It depends on how busy things are, but we get to each and everyone. We have an entire staff that works our forum (4 staff members, plus myself and Muhammad who are the founders). We work vey hard on support and out it as a #1 priority.
Yes the theme comes with the demo content, however it does not come with the exact same images as those are licensed stock images. And we do include sample sliders in the demo content import, but not all of our sliders are included as there are many on our demo and the overall package would be too big. But we include 2 rev sliders, 2 layer sliders, 1 flex slider, 1 elastic slider, 1 themefusion slider. Everything you need to get started.
And if you do want our other demo sliders for layer and revolution slider, you can download them from our forum and import them individually.
You will really like our demo content, its all done via theme options with one button. Simply click the importer button and it gives you all the content, pages, posts, sliders, widgets, theme options, sidebars and more, its very nice.

page builder is being built now and will be released in a future version, currently we have a shortcode generator that has a great UI, http://theme-fusion.com/avada/advanced-admin-panel/shortcode-central/
We’ve not tested it with VC so I can’t say for certain. But a custom page builder is coming soon.

Yes you can insert a custom background image in the header, all done via theme options or individually per page/post.
So on mobile you only want to display a logo instead of the image? By default, your background image will display on desktop and mobile when you insert one, but you can hide it on mobile if you wish with a line of CSS. But the theme is responsive. Thank you for the quick response! Yes, I’d like a logo to be visible instead of a tiny header on mobile. This site, http://www.amycady.com/, has a custom header but then on mobile it turns into just a logo. Is that possible? If I bought the theme, would support help me add a like of code? Thanks again!

I have looked through the forum and couldn’t find an answer to my question anywhere. I want to insert a slider like the one that shows in the demo under Sliders>Post Sliders>Page/Post Slider.. where can I find the text to import that page, or how can i create a slider like that? It only shows me the other sliders when I try to insert slider, doesn’t include Post Sliders.

Hey if you go to http://wiredortho.integrateideas.com, when I minimize the screen down to tablet or mobile, then expand it back out, the social icons in the top bar minimize and one of the social icons drops to the second level. Is there a quick fix I can add to the code?

Are you only doing this on desktop? Meaning you are resizing the browser window then sizing it back up? That is not a bug that needs fixed, refresh the browser window and it will go back in place, that is just the browser messing up when you resize window back and forth.

Before I buy I wanted to check if on the portfolio-item pages you can add text below the image/video and sidebar?
For example, I’d like the 1/2 width image next to the 1/2 width “project details” column then underneath a full width (or 1/2 width if the project details column is long) section containing text about the portfolio item. Is this possible?

You can use shortcodes and content on the single portfolio pages, but if you use a sidebar or the project details column, the content below that will not extend underneath it, it acts as a sidebar and takes up that column on the whole page

We are all running WP 3.7.1 and its working. Can you please check your 3rd party plugins and disable them all and then see it it works? Most likely you may have one that does not work with 3.7.1

I have two pre-purchase questions. I am a photographer and I would like to use your theme to show many portfolio. However, I would also like to sell pictures that are in the portfolio.
My first questions: Is there a way to do that? Can we sell a digital portfolio item?
The “Shop” pages, cart, etc. look like a completely different tool.
So, is there a way to integrate the needs to sell pictures and avoid to put the pictures in both a portfolio and in a “Single Product Full” page, for example?
My second question: is there a way to use variable price for the product to sell? For example, have a different price if the requested picture is to be printed in a magazine or in a book (the buyer would have to specify it in a form, for example).

To sell items, you would need to use WooCommerce and setup an online shop. So you could also have a portfolio to display your work, then a link to “Buy Now” which will take users to the shop to buy. You need to have an online shop that allows purchases, etc, and for that you need to use WooCommerce. But that is good, its a great plugin, free and has all the design styles already setup in Avada.
Yes you can use variations with WooCommerce, each product can have different types, prices, etc.

So, it is not possible to sell an item from the portfolio directly from the portfolio pages…
May I ask other questions?
Are the sentences “Project description” and “Project details” from the portfolio pages easy to change (write something else instead) or remove them should we not want them to appear?
Could each portfolio easily have a different behaviour (ex: one with nothing written, the other one with “Feature story description” written, the other one with the portfolio title written instead, another one with something else written, etc.)?
When I say “easy-easily”, I mean in the WP interface rather than changing php code, for example.

Yes you can change project description and details heading text, its just requires changing that text in single-avada-portfolio.php file. This is not a theme options because it has to be translatable text for multi-lingual sites, but its a quick change in the php file.
Sure, you can customize each portfolio post, and also create multiple portfolio pages, each with a different purpose. That can all be done in the WP interface.

No you do not need to remove them, if they are not on your menu then you can leave them there. The blog posts you coudl remove though, those would not be needed and are only for demo content purposes. The pages you might use, so you can keep them, or delete them depending on if you will use them. But they can stay there in your pages section, that is no worry
