If you want to change the font style just on the home page nav, you’ll need to use custom css which will target just that one page in the beginning of the rule.

If you are looking to globally change the nav style, you can do so in the typography options tab

Seems to have solved it now. Instead I encountered another problem when entering the website on https, then my YouTube videos in the prettyphoto boxes doesn’t load. Seems to have something to do with insecure content and the protocol at line 282 in prettyPhoto.js. If I change to // instead of http:// it works, but would be great to not need to change this every time I update the theme.

in regards to your new query – That’s a piece directly built into the plugins script, which isn’t my own code. If you know you’re going to be using https for it I would just enqueue that script in a child theme with that mod so it will persist through updates – I will most likely not being touching that script often so you’re safe

1. The text on the slider scales down in proportion to the slide backgrounds in order to avoid clipping on the images. If you want to get larger text on mobile you can either turn on the fullscreen option for your slider so there’s more space on mobile to allow bigger text, or you could adjust the css in the responsive stylesheet to your liking.

2. The only optimization I’ve done for the demo is a basic W3 Total Cache configuration – I recommend you install that and check out some tutorials for an optimal setup

If you’re using pagination and getting 404’s when changing pages – you must enter a slug into the slug option in your portfolio options tab in the Salient options panel and then resave your permalinks in Settings > Permalinks.

If you’re just getting 404’s on the more details page, try simply refreshing your permalink structure by going to Settings > Permalinks and clicking “Save Changes”.

If you need to unassign the home slider, just change the layout from whatever home layout you’re using in the Page Attributes box to default instead

You can center your text using this button or you could use the “Centered Text” option in your column shortcodes. As for the bottom alignment, it depends on what you’re trying to align it to the bottom of really. One method of achieving that would be through top padding/margin.

Hmm. Lets say the page is empty without any text. how do i go about aligning a short text that says something like, “welcome. click to enter.”, to make sure it appears at the bottom of the screen even if i resize the the window? Thanks in adv!

You’d have to use some custom scripting if you need that outside of the Nectar Slider. If you want to use a Nectar Slider, there’s an option to align the text towards the bottom and also a fullscreen option which would ensure it’s always aligned that way.

Would it make sense to to have a custom CSS input box on each page/post, so all the edits could be stored per page? I suppose centrally locating the CSS customization like you have designed it currently does make it simple to look for all edits, site wide. Thoughts?

It is definitely more practical to keep it all in one place, but I bet you could find a plugin to add a css box on every post/page if you looked

You could always just create your new page “Privacy Policy” and paste the entire contents of your Terms of Service page into the editor. If you paste it into the text tab on your editor it will bring over all of the heading tags/alignment stuff too

Oh I see. I didn’t see the html for the headers and footer in the text editor, plus, this version of WP no longer has an “HTML” tab, it says “Text” which is a completely different thing. WP should have a “Copy Page” feature so you have the option to not use the originals in case you want to use the pages multiple times without a workaround.

WP is so easy, feels like cheating sometimes, but occasionally I wish I could get at the html and edit there.

The site I’m doing is killer, such a beautiful and flexible theme!

Have you actually set the autorotate on the Nectar Slider shortcode or just input a rotate timing in the options panel for the Home Slider? They’re two separate things and the Nectar Slider uses a parameter on it like this to set an autorotate:

[nectar_slider location="About" slider_height="600" autorotate="5000"]

You would need to make custom template file for the home page where you inserted the Revolution Slider outside of the container in order to get it full width. As for getting it above the header and having the header stick to the top when scrolling past it – that’s a fairly complicated mod in which you would need to make a function through javascript to change the position of your header to fixed only after scrolling down to that point. You’d also need to alter all the existing rules for the header since it’s set up to always be fixed.
