The client has a long logo, so the default space on the left top is too little, that’s why I am asking. I thought it might be possible via the default WP-Options for the header. Or should it be written in the header.php? Thanks a lot!

Hi Pirenko, I’m trying to customize your beautiful theme and I have a few questions: 1) in the portfolio slideshow are not enough for me 10 predefined input fields (I need 30-40 images in galleries), I would like to manually define a list of images to be added after the first field (needed for grid page), how can I do? I have already several online gallery organized in specific folders by topic, that for now I manage with Fancybox, plain html and Dreamweaver ftp.. I would like to do something similar via flexider/lightbox of your theme, without upload all images in wordpress upload folder and in db.
Best for me, I would like a portfolio custom type with:- a input field for the image to show in grid (absolute url like “mysite/myfolder/img4grid.jpg”), independent by the gallery
- a textbox for the images list (html like Fancybox, or xml )
- how can I show caption in your theme’s lightbox?
- with Avast Internet Security I can’t see the facebook icon in the top bar
- in portfolio (half), the images are saved to 727px (with custom_width=1200), and resized in viewport from 727 to 835; I changed
$single_max_width=($prk_samba_frontend_options['custom_width']-130)*0.781
(was *0.68) and is now saved exactly to 835px, without stretching in browser, Is correct for you? are there problems? I changed this in “single-pirenko_portfolio.php” (in samba-child) and in “ajax-handler.php” (non in child theme, I don’t know how to do it.)

Placing all those images on the slideshow will make it take too much time to load and appear. If you want to do it the same way you need to edit the shortcodes.php file located in the wp-content/plugins/samba_framework folder. You also need to edit the custom_post_types file located on this folder.

About the other questions:
1) You need to edit the main.js file located on the js folder;
2) That’s because that software is blocking it;

As far as I know the homepage title is set under Settings>General>Tagline. If you deactivate the plugin the theme should use that text. If you want another behavior and use the plugin you should check the plugin documentation about this specific matter.

I’m uploading some images in the portfolio ( 1024×717 and less than 200kb per image) but it looks like the theme is resizing all of them to 1200×750 and more than 650kb per image.
If I go to Media I see all my original images but, for example, when I’m on the portfolio in grid mode… it takes so much time loading all the thumbnails cause each thumbnail is actually this 1200×750 image.
I think I upload everything correctly but I’m also sure I must be doing something wrong…

How can I make a full page without left menu? Should I create a custom page template, or there is an option for that? I can’t find one.
Also, how can I change the color of the “Read more” link? Currently I see a gray box with gray text. When hovering on it, the box background becomes white, while the text remains gray. I can’t find this setting in Samba settings.
One more thing: in single portfolio pages I see the right sidebar and no means to hide it. How can I get rid of it?

I suggest that you hide the left menu using CSS. If you want to remove it completely you have to edit the header.php file.
The read more link up color is the post featured color or the theme active color (if there’s no post featured color). When you hover the button it will get the “Buttons background color” value that is set under Samba Options>General tab.
Finally, you can edit the single-pirenko_portfolios.php file to remove the sidebar with the information about the portfolio post. You can also try to hide it with some custom CSS.

The edit to single-pirenko_portfolios.php would be lost on next update. Why not just adding this as an option in the theme? Is there already for other content types or templates, so having it there as well would make it more consistent.
I think the same should be done for the left menu (so many sites uses full pages for many reasons, like landing pages, just to name one).
As for the “Read more” link, having to change the “post featured color” only gives confusion. If I want one color for the “post featured color” and another for the more link, I have no options. Not to mention that it’s quite hard to guess that that color also applies to the “Read more” button.
That’s another option I think it should be added.
By the way I’ve just checked and the color applied to the button is different than the one set as “post featured color”. And in the post is not set, so is not overridden.
Checking the HTML for this button I see that the color is not even set with a class, but hard-coded in the HTML itself:

You can use chid theme if you are going to edit that php file. But if you hide it with some custom CSS the changes won’t be lost on the next update anyway. I will not add this option to the theme and the same for hiding the menu, because I think they don’t make sense on 99% of the cases (This sidebar is different from the generic sidebar… This sidebar shows info about this post). Actually it is less than 99%, because the theme sold over 400 copies and I did not had any of these requests before.
As for the read more button, once again for me it makes sense as it is. The theme is colored and the buttons behave like their “parent” (they assume the same color). If this is not working like I described somewhere please send me a link. Once again, with some CSS you can override this color. Oh and the color is not hard coded like you said: it is set using jQuery and that’s why you’ll see inline CSS styles.

1 – That is set when you are editing each slide. You have some options under the content and one of them is that;
2 – I can see it perfectly in Chrome. Maybe this is because you are logged in as admin and you have the top Wordpress admin bar enabled. Log off and try again…

It is the “background color option”. Like explained near to that textfield you can use rgba values. Example: rgba(40,40,40,0.5)

It should work perfectly with bbpress, because the theme is not obstructive (it does not interfere with WP functions). If you want the bbpress styles to match the theme you can add some custom CSS under Samba Options>Custom Scripts>Custom CSS.

The default height value for this spacer is 40px.

I just tested the link and the original space between the menu and the footer is now smaller when screens are smaller too. Neverthelesss, the CSS code does not affect anything if the screen is big enough to make the footer “sit” on bottom (because it is supposed to be there always).
