Is there any way to fix the MOBILE menu at the top (when scrolling, to keep it right there) the same as you are doing with the desktop?

Hello, with that code the menu is fixed at the top (Mobile) but the ‘3 line’ mobile menu stopped working – if you are right at the top, the 3-line menu is working, but as soon as you scroll down, the menu is not working anymore.
would you like to try it out?

What I found is that if the sub-menus goes beyond 1 page (mobile), you can’t see the rest as now the menu is fixed and appears to not allowing you to see more than 1 page of submenus.
not sure if there’s a solution to this.

you’d probably need to set a max height on the mobile-menu div and also set it to overflow-y: scroll.

Something very strange is happening and I don’t know if its the theme or wordpress…but its not happening on my other wp sites and its only happening in the Add New section of the Portfolio: Basically the window that opens when I add a new portfolio is empty; all I can see is the add media/insert slideshow/nectarcodes/visual/text line and my mouse cursor which is in drag mode. I actually tried dragging and the proper window pops up as I drag it, but as soon as I let go it disappears again. It’s happening on different computers so it’s not that either. What could it be?? Please help!!

Most of the licenses for those images require you to credit the source if you use them as I have in the “credits” section of the main theme page.

1. There’s no fullwidth carousel besides the nectar slider built in, so you would need to use a plugin. It seems you’ve already implemented a solution though am I correct?
2. I’ve never seen the blog links behave like that before so I would most likely need to log back into your setup to find the issue – could you send the credentials in an email to themenectar@gmail.com ?

I can’t offer all the files combined because then that would make customizing it harder for users who do mods – I might add an option to combine in the admin panel though, just need to work out a good way to go about

My Home Nectar slider wont loop in Chrome. It will play ONCE just fine.. but then stops at the end.
Works fine in Internet Explorer though. Is there a setting I havent used?

Another feature request: please make the body color of the white theme pure white… or give us the option to do so. I don’t much care for editing the body page to some fancy color with a color picker, Im just finding it way more useful from a PS to WP workflow to have colors go to full white.
(I’m currently using custom CSS to do this, but it could be more streamlined, ya know?)

Did you ever read the Steve Jobs biography? When Jon Ives comes up with the color scheme for the first iPod, his emphasis is on the purity of white and its symbolism… haha, that’s how I feel!
Haha, I actually haven’t read that but see where you’re coming from. The only way to do this would indeed be with custom css, but I’ll consider adding an option to do that by default.

Another suggestion… I seem to be filled with them today. Since you created the Nectar Slider, the Home Slider does not seem to have all that much significance any more. In a future update you may consider axing it all together and opting just to use Nectar Slider and outright build custom pages only.

It’s true that the Nectar Slider offers more functionality, but the Home Slider has to stay around because of two reasons:
1. It would force a ton of existing users to have to reenter their slides in a new slider if they were still using the Home Slider in favor of the new one.
2. Some users still actually prefer the design of the Home Slider and I wouldn’t want to take the option away from those who still like it.

this looks like a great theme but would it be possible to customize the header more? Most of my clients are businesses trying to get clients online so I always get requests for the same layout:
Business name top left, Phone number/address top right Navigation bottom center.
It doesn’t look like this can achieved with the current header choices, especially in responsive mode.
Can you please shed some light on this?

hey man, are we going to get change log of code line edits? I know that is probably a pain on your end, so maybe if you just let us know which files you edited, just flagging those pages, graphics, etc would help so I and others don’t have to go through our code edits and copy/paste and test them so often.

I stopped providing the line differences because the amount of lines I change is staggering – I started pushing users to use child themes for mods instead of editing any of the files directly to avoid update conflicts and have smooth transitions.
I will however start adding a list of the files changed with each update though

The Nectar Slider is only capable of sliding, if you’re looking for a fade transitions you will have to use the Home Slider or a plugin as adding that functionality to the Nectar Slider would take a good deal of development (there’s no option for it at all).

Got a couple of tweaks I’d like to make that I’m not sure about how to go about doing, namely: 1) removing the quotation marks in the testimonial carousel, 2) moving the social media icons from the footer to the header/taking out the contact/search functions. 2. You already can activate the social icons in the secondary nav as shown here: http://themenectar.com/demo/salient/headers/ but if you wanted the icons in the main nav, it would require a mod to the header.php file
3a. To remove the contact map just unassign the contact page template from your page.

i have this in my home page:

but there si still white bar in the middle and my masonry still have only 2 image display.
1. It appears you did not enter the snippet I gave you into the custom css box as it’s not showing up on the front. If you want to provide me admin access I can take care of it for you.
2. I will also check on why your portfolio shortcode is only displaying 2 items on the first page, have you confirmed you don’t have any plugin conflict?

I flagged your last comment to keep your credentials safe – I mean for you to either message them in private or provide them through them support forum
I just logged in and found that the css you pasted in was surrounded by pre tags that went through when copying and pasting – once I removed them the snippet correctly applied itself as it should. Also, the issue with the portfolio shortcode was that you were trying to set only 5 projects to display with the masonry layout – you need to either increase that number (as I did for you) or set the masonry to false.

there’s no PSD’s available because there’s hardly any images used in the theme now. It’s all css + icon files. So simply taking a screenshot and importing it into Photoshop would be almost as useful for mockup purposes.

The space is actually getting added for a paragraph tag you have around the image – you could either try and delete it from the text tab on your editor or just enter this into your custom css box in the Salient options panel:

The paragraph tag is visible in page source, but not in the text editor, weird. No matter, the code you supplied worked, thank you.
WordPress sometimes add in extra paragraph tags when you have line breaks in the editor, but am glad to hear it’s resolved!
Hello. First of all, this is an amazing theme.
I just updated so that I could use the new features. I am trying to work the video background nectar slider, and I followed your steps.
But if you can give me recommended render settings for my mp4 video and also the size that I should target, that would be great. Right now my .mp4 is 7MBs and it takes a millenia to load on the site.
Your video in the demo has good quality, is 30 seconds and it still loads so fast. I would like that same user experience.

I just tried optimizing my videos to be even smaller – < 2MB. Still no improvement. Now the video does not load at all. I have all 3 formats supplied. I don’t know what I am doing wrong.
Also on a side note, adding the nectar slider, broke a parallax background i was using on the page as well for a testimonial slider. Any ideas?

The problem is actually not with the size of your videos. Some servers require you to add the media types supported in the .htaccess file in order for them to parse the files. Open up your .htaccess file located in the root of your WordPress install and add this:
AddType video/mp4 mp4 AddType video/mp4 m4v AddType video/ogg ogv AddType video/webm webm AddType video/webm webmv

That looks like the wrong .htaccess, the one you should add it into to will be located in the root of your WordPress install and will have something similar to this inside:

Yes you were right. That .htaccess file was in my contents folder. I did not find any .htaccess file in my root so I did some researching and then finally created one and put it in the root. But right now it is just empty.
Should I add those media types now, or do I need to add other code for it to work properly? like the #BEGIN WordPress and # End Wordpress?
Your install really should have an .htaccess because WordPress automatically creates one – hopefully you’re in the right place still – and no, you don’t need the other code, but it should have been there
