As far as I know to make that slider go Fullscreen you need to set a specific div id on the slider general options so that it knows that it should have that div size. You’ll also have to add some code (CSS and or jQuery) so that this div fills the window like you are saying.

Does the theme generate custom sizes for the images or does it rely on WP media management ?
I ask this because yesterday I uploaded a large image (1920×600 px), 350 KB when uploaded but I noticed that the version displayed on the portfolio item was 1.5 MB heavy (same dimensions as the one uploaded, but with the suffix -1920×600 added to its name). So I was wondering how to avoid regenerating and using a new jpeg, heavier than the initial one, when it’s not needed.
Maybe I should look on WP side but I don’t remember if it’s the WP core that handles this when generating the thumbnails after upload ?

The theme resizes the images according to the necessary sizes in pixels. This is done on the vt_resize.php file located inside inc/modules/ . You can adjust resize quality on line 185 of this file.

How are you adding the contact form to the theme? Is it by shortcode? Send me a link to your page please. Anyway, If you wrap you contact form into a column that does not span full width it will scale accordingly (I suggest that you use the Visual Composer page builder for this).

I can select the static home page to be Portfolio and I will get that effect but I want is with the latest post, but don’t have that option.
If I select Your latest posts for static home page I will get the images but also the content along with the post but I only want the images.

You can make with a portfolio page like you said or by adding an “image gallery” to a a page using the Visual Composer. There is no option to show posts like that.

So my goal here was to have the images from post. Since it will be a photography competition site i will get daily submission of photo (dynamic) and wanted to have those images on home page and change as I get submissions. I can’t have it on a page or gallery since i will get 100’s of image (posts) weekly
If your theme is unable to handle this is there not a plugin i can use to work with your theme?
Your theme is brilliant the reason i purchased over the others. But really need to showcase our submissions on homepage, with minimal to none content just image. Once they click on the image and go to post then they can see the content

There seems to be some confusion here… You said you wanted to show multiple images from a post (single) and now you speak about multiple posts… By default you can’t show multiple images of a post like a grid and this is what I explained you before.
Now, if you want to show a grid of images from multiple posts, I suggest that you use Portfolio Items to display your content and then make a portfolio page your homepage (Page examples: http://www.pirenko.com/samba/titled-portfolio/ and http://www.pirenko.com/samba/corporate-style/ ).

So I want to have the grid portfolio to be my home page, but I want those image to be post.
For example: I get 20 submission of photos which = to 20 separate posts. So on home page I want those 20 post/image to display on home page.
As I get new submission/post then the new image will display on home page.
Can you tell me how to do this? Is it in the user guide?

Regular posts can’t be displayed as a grid of images without text. Only portfolio posts… If you need this you’ll have to change the theme default features or hire someone to do that for you. If you want a quote send me a private message.

Hi unfortunately this is a non profit site so it won’t be generating revenue. So I would not be able to hire anyone, I am doing this my self.
Would you be able to instruct me as to what needs to be done, I really think this should be apart of the theme since most everyone work with post and pages.

You seem to be criticizing the lack of this specific feature that you want. I disagree, because it is very uncommon to find the themes that show posts like a grid of images (the problem is that you want to use posts and not portfolio items like I told you to). Actually I don’t know any theme that does this.
Anyway you can change the latest posts shortcode. The file is located under wp-plugins/samba_framework and it is called shortcodes.php

You may disagree but it maybe worth while to have a open mind and listen to customers and people who are using your product in the real world.
And you don’t know of any theme that does this? Majority of photography themes do this.

You seem to have taken this in the wrong way. I do listen to my customers and after selling more than 3.000 themes this is the first time someone asks me this.
About the links you sent… Are you sure that they are using regular wordpress posts to show those images? Flickr uses Wordpress here http://www.flickr.com/explore ? The other links you send have links to blog which makes my thing that the grid of images is not using regular wordpress posts.
About your question: please go to Settings>Reading and change your homepage to the portfolio page that you should have already created.
In general I’ll be always available to answer and help you, but only with what I consider that makes sense or, at least, that many buyers think that could be a nice feature.

I don’t know nor should it matter to me as user if it is wordpress or not. I as a user see photography websites, flickr being one and thing I would like that layout.
Remember you are the expert we are just users, if we had the skills you had we would create the theme our selfs. I said in the begging that your theme is brilliant and there are pros and cons with all themes, very rare that one theme has everything for everyone.
If I see a theme that is better that can offer post on home page. Then Ill look at pros and cons and decide if I want to purchase. But no worries, if your theme can’t do that and you see no value in it, then me as a user needs to decide what to do that simple.
Ok back to the final, issue i am having. So when I go to Settings -> Reading I do not see portfolio page all I see are the pages I created. Am I doing something wrong? Can you login and see what the problem is?

Hi Pirenko, i’m having two critical issues with the theme 
1. Suddenly, the page loads a blank page, but if i deactivate the menu, everything shows just fine (except the menu of course)
2. I’m using wpml, with three languages: english (principal), spanish, and portuguese. When i choose spanish in the home, it redirects to the “hello world” post, and it even changes the logo to the samba logo… really weird. This second issue happened before the first one occurs…

What do you mean with deactivate the menu? About WPML: the theme is fully compatible with WPML and it was approved by their team as you can see here: http://wpml.org/theme/samba/

We’re having a hard time trying to replicate the Video Portfolio look and feel. We are adding vimeo iframe embed codes into the text editor, but it won’t load full-width / responsive and it also includes a Styled Title above the video embed.
How do we add videos to correctly display in that manner? 1. As portfolio items with the embed code? 2. Does the code need to have CSS for responsive/full width? 3. Some other way to add video/vimeo?

Hi Pirenko, although I have activated all “share buttons” on blog and portfolio in the samba options there are only a few to see at the top of those pages, like twitter, delicious, facebook, linkedin. The others are empty, no icon to see. How to fix this? Doris

That should have to do with some of your server security settings. On the theme preview blog I have just activated the 7 that are available and you can see them. I don’t have any special configurations to make them work.
I’ll remove them in about 2h again, because I don’t want them all showing on the theme preview.

I don’t think that this has to do anything with server settings. When I used – before this theme – a plugin with the share buttons, all worked fine and I never had problems with any security settings. I see them on your preview now, but I too would like to have them viewable on my own site, too. No other idea?
the funny thing is that I can click on the empty spaces, where google plus etc. should be and I am transported to this page, but the icon is not to see … And without icon people won’t share

If you have another plugin that does what you want you are free to use it and turn off the theme sharing.
The icons are only displayed when certain operations are done and that is why you can’t see them (they are not injected into the button).

okay, how about replacing the three little lines with the word “menu”. I’ve used this type and believe it or not people are confused and don’t know where the menu/navigation is.
For that you’ll need to edit the header.php. This can be done in 1 minute, but please be aware that if you start changing the theme files you are not able to update it in the future. Cheers!

i hope this will be my last question (probably not). I have set up a masonry portfolio page here: http://www.oelalaa.com/portfolioCurrently it holds one portfolio item. I have not set up a featured image, and in the second image\video bar in the post i added an iframe from youtube. However this video does not show on the portfolio page. It doesn’t matter if i turn off or on the “skip featured image” setting.
