Hi. What’s the easiest way to update my theme? I’m using 1.7 and want the latest, but I’m worried about losing some of my existing site. I downloaded the new one and simply tried to add a new theme and received this error:

Installing the theme…

The package could not be installed. The theme is missing the style.css stylesheet.

Theme install failed.

Want to buy this but I think I ran into a bug in chrome in windows 7.

If I middle click to scroll the page, the cursor gets stuck and I can’t click on any links.

I’ve been able to replicate on two different PCs.

I’m having an issue displaying pictures in the overall blog page:

There’s a picture of legos in the post (http://www.covlifecities.com/website/broken-legos-broken-lives/), but it’s not displaying in the preview of the post on the overall blog page. Do you know how to make it so that the picture displays in the preview post?

Any way to get background images on full-width sections to display correctly on mobile? The image displays fine on computer, but mobile it only shows partial image.

Also, larger text within sections seem to run off of mobile screens. Any way to get large text to fit within mobile screen?

I cant see my embedded vimeo video on the home page, and found in support that it is a bug. I can’t seem to find the init.js folder that you said to change. Where is it exactly?

Hi ThemeNectar, a couple of questions:

1. How can I align the Accordion title with the true center of box? It’s slightly offset to the right (perhaps because of the + sign)

2. How do I insert an icon into the Accordion title? I tried to use the shortcode but this obviously doesn’t work here :’(

3. How can you create a more complex text layout like this? I noticed you cannot nest columns of the same type within each other using the shortcodes.

4. (How) can I best edit the map style? I noticed it’s not a shortcode, so I suppose I have to create a child theme and edit some php files.

5. How do you deal with absolute filenames. For example: pictures in sliders and portfolios, but also logo) that break when you transfer your content to the server (i’m editing local). Now I manually replaced them all through the theme-config but this is probably not the easiest solution

(BTW: I did notice that this issue doesn’t occur when using a gallery because it uses a reference code. But of course I can’t insert galleries in places like the slider.)

Hi, When I have 2 columns in a full section and one of my columns is a image and in the other I want to put some text how can I align the text vertically in the middle? thank you

Right now I have a problem with a Qtranslate plugin. For example I can’t see the language tab and I can edit the text tab. There is an other language plugin that work good?

Safari (Version 5.1.10 (6534.59.10)) on mac 10.6.8 issue:

When using the nectar slider in safari, If i only upload the MP4 for the Nectar slider, Safari works great! When i upload the webM and Mp4, Safari will crash “Safari cant display this webpage, Safari has repeatedly encountered an error while tring to display”

Its almost like Safari attempts to read the .webm first and errors out before it loads the .mp4

Is there a way to fix this black line that comes up when the page is loaded?

I have such stupid problem. Just now I added a cache plugin because my site was getting pretty slow. I read in your feedback here that it would be a good idea so I took a cache plugin that was rated high. However, after activating my justified_image_grid plugin didn’t work anymore, and some other things were not looking good either. I deactivated it and removed it, but now all my custom css that I worked on this week (and hadn’t backed up, sigh) is gone, and I can’t access the custom css file anymore. It’s not even visible in the dashboard anymore either. Do you know where I can find it and how I can see it back in the dashboard again? I feel so stupid for not having it all backed up yet. But I really didn’t know this could happen from simply adding and removing a cache plugin. I didn’t think it would mess with the site so much.

I really hope you can help me since this is really a big problem. I was so happy to have finished the work. If you want to contact me, please let me know. I also have a ticket in the forum for another question but this is urgent and I have the feeling you get to me faster if I reply here.

EDITED: False alarm! Eep, this is weird. I had refreshed the pages several times and even tried to change the permissions of the CSS file in the ftp before asking for help.. Now I am refreshing AGAIN, and it’s back to work again. Even the css file is showing again in the admin including the custom codes. How does that work??haha. Sorry for having bothered you. It seems to be fine again. Haha This is awkward. I am not sure what happened, but I am happy it works again.

About the codec of the main home page video… I know your theme is constantly evolving (thank you making it better over time! much appreciated!)

1) have the “rules” changed? Do I still have to have multiple versions of the main video?

2) Im reading conflicting posts… Im seeing areas that say H264 is ok… but in the theme it forcefully states OGG and WEBMD, and M4V. (all codecs that are tricky to output from my Premiere Pro. so it forces me to use strange 3rd party apps are not confusing to use) Has the theme (or browsers) been updated so we can use everyday “normal” codecs instead?

3) what MB size of a video do you recommend for smooth playback and not slowing website.

4) what resolution (not ratio) should video be? what is the best 1:1 size for screen? 1920×1080?

I have a odd but hopefully easy question. Can I use this theme for a webcomic site?

I am having a major issue with the portfolio… All of the portfolio items are displaying twice for some reason; both when all items are displayed and when you filter through to one e.g. Video Production.

There is also a spinning wheel constantly displaying over the second set of items.

I have spent many hours going through the comments and messing about with the theme settings and I just can’t seem to make the portfolio items appear only once.

Hi, we really like this theme. We were testing it on an Android mobile phone and noticed that in the mobile version of your demo, the video in the slide show at the top of the home page doesn’t load. Is there a control to make video load on the mobile site or does the video slideshow feature not work at all in mobile?
