I just wanted to say who ever created this theme is fantastical. It’s everything I’ve ever wanted in the years of creating my own websites even starting from scratch with Adobe Flash years back. I just watched a few introductory videos on downloading the dummy file to initialize the proper setup for where everything is.
I’ll admit walking into this blindly and just navigating without instruction kind of threw my in a quick panic as things look drastically different without that setup data.
I’m just about to jump into this and create an awesome site but thought I’d give you the credit your team deserves.

Hi I just purchased this theme yesterday and it is awesome! I like some of the psd/pictures included with the theme… are they free to use on my web site?

You can see the sources for the demo images at the bottom of the main theme description page. The only item you can use freely is the coding video background as I recorded it but most images would require attribution.
Also no PSD files are included since the theme does not use images for design elements. Simply taking a screenshot of the theme would be just about as useful for mockup purposes.

Just wondering, how can I import more Google Fonts to this unbelievable, beautiful and amazing theme? Just need to change body font to Helvetica Neue instead of Helvetica and couldn’t make it work via style.css.

This helped me and at the same time confused me.
So adding ”@import url(‘http://www.google.com/fonts#UsePlace:use/Collection:Raleway');" to theme files wouldn’t do the trick?

If you’re going to be adding additional Google fonts where you don’t need to use the font-face rules – you can just add something like this into your header.php
<link href='http://fonts.googleapis.com/css?family=Seymour+One' rel='stylesheet' type='text/css'>
and then have the ability to call that font family in the css where ever you want:
body {
font-family: 'Seymour One', sans-serif!important;
}

getting an invalid post type on importing a regular page points to something being wrong with your WordPress or Server configuration – doing quick research has yielded this: http://wordpress.org/support/topic/failure-to-import-and-invalid-post-type-errors which poses solutions for that exact problem

One question – I’m trying to figure out how to add a bunch of photos to a full width portfolio item but besides the featured image, they are all showing up smaller instead of full width. It’s for product photography and I’d like them to stretch across the full screen.

Inside of a portfolio item (if it’s set to be a full width one) you can place a Full Width Nectar Slider or use the full width section shortcode to make an image stretch the entire width of the page. If you can share a URL I’d be glad to take a further look at one of your items for you

1. There’s been a lightbox gallery option in place for about a month now that allows you to turn your portfolio items into a lightbox gallery so you can use any of the portfolio styles seen on the demo for it. Here’s one example: http://themenectar.com/demo/salient/gallery-only-example/
There will be more options going forward for lightbox galleries outside of the portfolio post type though

Today is the third day I’m struggling to create the second portfolio on the same page. I was reading comments and trying to find the right answer but still haven’t find the solution.
My situation: I created portfolio1 and I add every picture as a new portfolio item and I choose the category. So I’ve 179 items on my portfolio list and 9 pages of the listing as I wanted to have my photos like in a “Gallery only example” style from the fullwidth portfolio section. So:
“Question 1” is it possible to do it quicker and not adding each photo and making it featured image to be shown in my gallery?
“Question 2” My Portfolio is with my wedding photos. So at the moment I’ve 7 project categories with the names of each wedding “Name1 & Name2”, “Name3 & Name4” and ect. I want to have only wedding photos in Portfolio1 and I need Porfolio2 for “Pre-Weddings” & Portfolio3 for “Portraits” with new project categories (people’s names) and not to mix all the photos in the portfolio category. So I need to create two new buttons in my main top menu So it would look like (Home, about me, portfolio, pre-weddings, portraits, contacts).
Shortly the question would be “how can I’ve 2 or 3 portfolios in “Portfolio Fullwidth Default” style.

1. I will be adding other ways of creating galleries in future updates without having to go through the portfolio, but for now that’s the only way to achieve that look.
2. If you want to create multiple portfolios on your site with separate category sets – all you need to do is select your desired categories for each one of your pages when creating the portfolio shortcode: http://i.imgur.com/bIRLwwu.png thus making it possible to have unique portfolio setups throughout your pages.

The theme comments are only supposed to be for pre-sale & basic questions – I prefer to channel all real support questions that other people could benefit from to the support forum. Because of this there’s a much higher volume of questions that end up there so the queue is longer – but yesterday I actually answered 90 tickets so I assume yours was one of them based on when you said you opened it

Guys firstly congrats on a fantastic theme, you are taking these to new levels. I understand it’s hard to design something for ‘everyone’.
I have found a bug in that applies to the Portfolio shortcode. If I try and load it inside a ‘tabbed’ section. In Chrome, the images end up on top of each other. On the same page, with the same shortcode but not in a tabbed section, it works fine. I assume the JS is not finding the elements to change their location and spread them across the page.
Any chance you could have a look at this as I really want to launch this site in the next 24 hours?

this makes sense since the calculations could not be correctly made when the portfolio is starting off as hidden – I’m afraid the solution would be a little tricky and something I have need to spend some time investigating – I will try to solve this for the next release

Additionally, I’m having a weird formatting issue in my footer where it’s built in some sort of barrier and I can’t get a 3 column set up to work. Did I somehow mess up the code?

The column control you have in the footer options tab is for the footer widget area which you have turned off – the copyright section always has the same spacing for it’s columns. If you want to adjust it to allow for more room in the text area than the social icon section than open the footer.php file and find this:

So I tried this, if you take a look at fyourstroller.com, you can see that even though I’ve selected a 3 column footer in the Salient footer options, it’s pushing everything into two weird columns

as I mentioned, the footer columns selection that you can do in the admin panel only applies to the footer widget area i.e where you can the “Suicide Prevention” & “In the News” widgets – the third widget space is still open as you have not added a widget into it yet.
The mod I listed above was the alter the column space in the copyright area, which is a separate thing completely from the widget area.

Hey again – it’s not easy for me to say why it could have stopped working, there must have been some interaction you did to cause it to stop. Can you remember doing anything prior to it not working such as updating, adding a new plugin etc.

Yea, I downloaded the upgrade, but I also swtiched to a four-column footer widget area. So it could have been either of those. I’ll start over and see if that helps.
I still can’t figure it out – when I just have the four columns format selected and no content in the widgets it looks fine, but as soon as I try to add content to the Column 3 and 4 footer widgets it starts to get glitchy (and then it impacts the copyright footer too. I’ve left if populated so you could see what I’m talking about if that’s helpful (www.fyourstroller.com)
If you’re using the current release and it’s doing that than you most likely have some unintended html in one of your widgets that breaking everything. If you can allow me to log in I will check on it for you

What is the suggested size for the images to be used in the Nectar Sliders?
I see that the examples are 1920×1038, 1988×1285, 1920×1080 and 1980×735.

it all depends on what height you set you your slider to – I would recommend a width of at least 1800px when using a full width slider, but the height will be determined by your own sliders height and the kind of scaling you like.

Thank you. Can you suggest a width and height range to minimize scaling? I’ll likely use 1800 to 1920 px width.
The images will also scale down to hold the initial proportions in each media query (large desktop, small desktop, iPad & and smartphone) But I like to set the sliders height around 600, which will be the height used on large desktop and subsequently scale down more and more each view.

Hi, Can i get ride of the search effect of the search, where it opens big white box on top of the header and logo. I just want to have a normal looking search effect. Also, can i embed the social media buttons in the content of one of the pages? The way you have it in the footer, I can to have the same buttons in a customs widget or homepage ? 1. You would have to modify the css in the style.css a fair deal to change the search into what you’re looking for.
2. You can place the social icons from your icon shortcode in the Nectar Shortcodes anywhere you want in theory

BUG: full width parallax section doesn’t work on the same page as a nectar slider with parallax.
To reproduce:
Disable parallax on the nectar slider (at the top of the pg), and the full width section (further down the page) begins to work properly. Enable parallax on the nectar slider, the full width section has a white background instead of the parallax image.
My page contains: 1. Nectar slider with 1 slide only, and parallax enabled. Full width, and fullscreen=”true” 2. Recent projects shortcode 3. Full width section with color bg, text and a button 4. Full width section with PARALLAX image bg, text and a button.
Latest Chrome browser.
Hopefully this was a clear explanation of the issue.

The bug is a browser level one with webkit only and will only occur when you place a parallax full width section with in sight of a parallax nectar slider. As you can see in various pages on the demo the two elements function correctly on the same page, just not next to each other.
