¿Cómo puedo modificar el color rojo que aparece en el borde del botón del menú?

Hola yami,
puedes modificar este color con la siguiente regla de css:
.navigation ul .current-menu-item a,
.navigation ul .current_page_item a,
body.single-post .navigation ul .current_page_parent a {
border-bottom: 2px solid #ffea00;
}
Simplemente cambia el valor de la propiedad border bottom por el color (en hexadecimal) que necesites.
Esta regla la puedes añadir a tu style.css en caso de que estés usando el child theme o incluirlo directamente en el field de custom css en las opciones generales del theme.

well, you could do this, but depending on what you would like to achieve is possible you would need to create some new classes in order to place correctly your font awesome icons.
For example, you could add new icons based in font-awesome adding the “RAW HTML” widget. Here you can do something like this:
<i class="icon-coffee" style="font-size: 55px;" />
This will add a new icon with a size of 55px. You can see here a list of the available icons you could add using this method.

Hi Lan,
each time the theme is updated, you will receive an email notifying you about this. Then, you must to go to your “Downloads” area and download ‘again’ the theme (this is process is free). In this way you will get the last version of the theme.
By other hand, we include the Envato Toolkit plugin in order to make easier this process, maybe you are not using it.

I deleted the theme and reinstalled it. Its at version 1.33. You told me last time you were adding a feature that allowed me to change the text color for slide titles and descriptions?
I dont see that functionality on the page anywhere.
Honestly if you could just tell me where to edit the css so I can change the color of that that would suffice too.

this new option is a new method that generates automatically a class for each slide. In this way, you are able to create your own custom CSS classes in order to style each slide title, description and divider in a isolated way within the slider.
You can see more about this in this part of the documentation.

Alright fixed it. Regarding the pointer that appears over the mouse on the sliders. Can I change the color of that aswell?

yes, you can change the color for the arrows that manage the slider. The classes for this are:
.icon-angle-left & .icon-angle-right
In this way you could do something like this:
.icon-angle-left,
.icon-angle-right { color: #FFF; }
This will set as white both arrows.

Hi Robin,
the plugin is updated within the new update. You can find it inside the lib/plugin/js_composer.zip folder. Just uncompress it and replace it in your server in wp-content/plugins. This will update the plugin. The last version is 3.7.4.
We are in conversations with the plugin developer in order to improve the way to update the plugin in a more automated way.
About the plugin you mention, I´m not familiar with it, so please, open a support ticket and we will review it next Monday.

I have one question to ask about the embed video option as I can’t find any sample on your pages. Could you show me a link of how it would look like..? Will it be like a lightbox when you view it?
Also, I just want to check it on my mobile as well. To make sure it will looks great on other platforms.

you can add videos from Youtube and Vimeo as backgrounds. Also, you can include any supported media with a widget within the content areas all around the theme (except as portfolio thumbs).
If you would like to see a online implementation I can show you a project using some of these media running in action. For this, just write me using the contact form in my profile and I will send you a link in order to check this.

you don´t need to download or purchase any plugin included with the theme. Each time we update Flamingo, all the plugins will be updated too.
In any case, don´t worry about this, VC will work correctly and this is not a problem.

First, thank you very much to provide your documentation before the theme purchase: it’s very useful to understand your work and to know how the theme really works. No bad surprise for customers with this strategy! Thanks for that. So, I’ve read of course all the Flamingo documentation including all videos and those comments also but I don’t find my answers.
So please, 3 “and half” pre-sale questions:
1. Is the footer menu exactly the same that the general menu or Flamingo allows to make 2 different menus?
2. I have a little doubt: is the contact template locked like in the demo or Flamingo allows to insert the form were we want inside the page, with for example, some content before and after the form?
2 bis. Can we insert more contact forms where we want inside the website, for example inside a different page or even inside posts?
3. Same question about the portfolio (‘works’): is the portfolio’s template locked like in the demo or can we insert content, for example, before the “W” inside its black hexagon (like in the demo)?
3 bis. Can we insert more than one portfolio, for example inside 2 different pages?

first of all, thank you very much about your interest in Flamingo and for taking time reviewing the documentation. We added it in order to make easy to understand how the theme works making easy your choose.
Let´s see your doubts:
1. Flamingo offers 4 different menus. Two of them have the option to “sticky” them. This means that you can set a “fixed” menus. You can see more about this in this screencast. Menus are really easy to set up. In total you can select from 6 different menus.
2. The contact template supports any content, you can use the page builder in order to add your own content in a very easy way. The forms are supported with contact form 7 plugin. This plugin is installed with the theme installation and it is very easy to use and allows you to add forms in any page or place within your site.
3. In case of the portfolio template. This template is ‘closed’. This means that you are not allowed to add contents in the same way that other pages because this page is generated automatically with your projects within. But editing this template would be so easy as editing a single php file. You could use more than one portfolio pages following the guides you will find inside the option panel.
We tried to make the option panel as easy to use as possible. I think you would find it very practice.

I understand all your answers except the one about the different menus. I think my first question was not clear enough. I’ve seen that there are different options to set up the menu. Actually, I would like to know if the general menu is exactly the same that the footer menu.
I would like to make 2 different menus:
> one general menu for example with 5 pages: HOME, ABOUT, WORKS, BLOG and CONTACT.
> one footer menu with, for example, 4 other pages like ‘Newsletter’, ‘Privacy policy’, ‘Legal’, ‘FAQ‘.
I this possible with Flamingo?

yes, you can set up two different menu areas. One for the main navigation and a different one for the footer. Both are managed directly from the menu area inside the WP dashboard.

My old site is on an old version of wordpress 3.4.2., I downloaded this theme that I really like, just that I need to update to wordpress 3.8. can you give me the assurance that it will work with the new version of wordpress?

Flamingo works correctly with WP 3.8, the most of users are running this last version and we work with it since it was released and no issues were detected in some way.
We developed the theme using the Wordpress native UI and the best practices for it. So in this sense it is easy to guarantee full support for future updates.

do you mean the map at the bottom of the page? If it is the case, just make sure you are using the “Contact” template and check if, when the theme was installed and asked you for installing some plugins, you installed the “Location” plugin.
If you have everything correct, when you are in the contact page, a field will appear where you only need to pass your address, the theme will assign the lat/lon in order to find your location and will set the map into the page.
Here you can upload a custom marker too. These tools are very easy to use. Take a look here.

Hi Tyler,
this issue is due to a server issue.
There are different ways to increase the execution time for processes. You can increase this aspect adding a line in wp-config.php or HTACCESS or php.ini file hosted on your web server. There is no need to make all three changes as any one of these works fine. That means, it is up to your convenience to choose any one of these three ways to increase the set maximum execution time for your server. For WordPress, it is much easier to do that by changing wp-config.php file which is available in the root of the installation.
1. By wp-config.php changes
set_time_limit(60);
Important – If you are making changes in wp-config.php, then add this line above “/* That’s all, stop editing! Happy blogging. */” comment.
2. In htaccess
php_value max_execution_time 60
3. Addition in php.ini file
max_execution_time = 30 ;
By default, the maximum execution time on web servers remains at 30 seconds. You can change that amount to provide more time for certain executions on your server. For example, in above codes you can change that value to 60 seconds.

Blog settings doesn’t seem to work when I toggle the layouts and displays (category, author, date).
Also when I set my page template to “Blog” I am unable to hide section title like the other pages.

esto no es posible hacerlo desde las opciones del panel, pero como cada proyecto tiene un id diferente, podrías apuntar a este con css y preparar unas reglas personalizadas para cada caso.
Si abres un ticket de soporte y nos dejas un admin user/pass podemos ver si podemos ayudar en este sentido. No te puedo garantizar que funcionará de la manera que buscas, pero creo que podría funcionar bien.

the images open for a second correctly, than they open normally without lightbox in the browser. the plugin gives a lot of options for lightbox (swipe, fancy etc.) but non of it works.
can you help or tell me, what I’m doing wrong?

Which lightbox/system method are you using? The theme uses prettyPhoto by default and it is working correctly. And it was tested with colorbox too.

I’m using “responsive lightbox” plugin which uses prettyphoto, swipebox, fancybox or nivo lightbox. but how can I use your lightbox for a simple lightbox effect, like on the test site obove with the 3 tumbnails? I just deactivated the plugin and tried to use a normal photo gallery with your lightbox!?
... because I don’t need a plugin if your theme provides a propper one! just want to have a nice lightbox effect when I’m using photo gallery.

you can enable a complete gallery using this widget and enabling this option. If you use this configuration your site will use prettyPhoto in order to show your works in a lightbox.
If you use the grid plugin you can combine it with the prettyphoto plugin. This should work. In case this is not working correctly in your case, open a support ticket providing an admin user and pass and we will review this from your installation in order to know more about it.
