Hi yes, I deactivated the EasyMedia Gallery Pro plugin and now the sliders work. Any way you can give me pointers to resolve this?
Hey I would need to test with the plugin to find why the scripts conflict – it could be enqueuing a duplicate copy of something Salient uses but I won’t know until investigating more.

Go into the plugin settings and in the Miscellaneous tab select “core-1.2.5-core-yc” for the “Plugin Core Compatibility Mode” option.

My header logo is a bit long and in low resolutions, lays on top of the first few header links. It only happens in chrome at 1280×800.
Any idea how to float the header logo about -60px for chrome only browsers, and if possible at 1440 or lower resolutions?
I’ll be working on it in the meantime and thanks again in advance.

The internal styles are used only for the dynamic styles in the theme i.e. the ones that have their values generated through PHP based on what you set in the options panel and can not reside in a static stylesheet. Robots that crawl your site will simply see it as css the same way they would if you had an external link in its place so there’s no negative effect using this method. If you want to reduce the footprint you could minify the colors.php file located in the css folder

that would require a good deal of custom development. You would need to write a custom script to query for that information based on a specified video id. You would then need to return that information in the correct location in replace of the current love count. I am unaware of any way to show vimeo like/comments on a page – but there might be a WordPress plugin for it

that would require some custom development to the shortcode-processing.php file located in the nectar/tinymce directory. There’s a bit of work involved that would require querying for the categories, formatting them and then replacing the date markup with that.

Hi I have a question. Inside a portfolio i would like to display the images the same way they appear on the portfolio page. So for example if i have a full width portfolio main page with all the categories etc, if i click on one category featured image which leads me to the portfolio inside with all the pictures, can i somehow have them displayed in a grid format that will load with pretty picture instead of the boring wordpress gallery or the other option of just having a slider that open with pretty picture?
I hope this makes sense. I feel that some love needs to be put into the portfolio section so that we can show off our work instead of leading customers to a crappy wordpress gallery that links to the picture itself and then the user has to click the back arrow to go back to the portfolio page…..

Sorry for the Double post, i know it can be done by creating hundreds of portfolios but this seems to be a waste of time and hard to navigate in wordpress backend. It would be nice to just upload a gallery that has the same layout as the portfolio without doing it one by one…

there was a new gallery element that was added in 3.0 – it’s not capable of simulating the look of the portfolio itself yet, but offers two styles for you to quickly offer a gallery of images anywhere you need. Additional styles will be coming for it

1. The theme does use HTML5 semantics – however there’s probably room to use them in a few more places so I’ll note to sift through the existing markup for the next minor release.
2. Most of them are available for purchase – I have all the sources for them in the user guide if you want to buy licenses for them as well

Page builder question? I was working on page builder in my portfolio post and manage the make the page pretty quickly. Well then I needed to revisit the page builder for the same page again but all the sudden some elements appeared and some did not and it says Loading please wait… But waiting never ends. Page loads as I firstly planned to but now I cannot edit or manipulate it? I am on mac and tried it both in Safari and Chrome same problem?

Do you have the social buttons element at the top? If so, there’s a known bug with that happening only when it’s the top level element and is going to be fixed shortly.

Hi there, great theme – it really is excellent.
I have one small issue – since upgrading to v3 (it may have been an issue before but not 100% sure) the pagination icon/symbols in the title bar aren’t showing.
The links are there (back to grid, right and left) but they are invisible. The same with the heart icon to the left of the social sharing.
Your help is really appreciated. Any ideas?

Hi, this is a very nice theme. I upgraded it to your 3.0 version. I am having a couple of problems:
1. When I imported the XML data file it included broken shortcodes, pretty much anything related to “vc_column”. When I delete those references and the page breaks that magically appeared in the code when I imported it, the shortcodes work. Still, that’s a lot of manual editing for something I was hoping to import so I could just focus on my content. Is there a way to fix it?
2.When editing pages, I don’t see the page builder button at all in the page editor -it’s not there. Just the Theme Nectar Shortcodes button. It’s a shame because the visual page editor would probably help save some time.
I have cleared my browser cache several times and tried re-installing the theme – can you tell me how to fix these two items?
Hey clearpix, the fact that vc_column is not parsing in combination with the fact you don’t have a page builder button can only point to that somehow you’re not on v3.0. Did you delete the old version of the theme you had before installing the new one to ensure it’s a fresh installation?
Thanks for your quick reply, I appreciate it. It’s working now. I deleted the theme folder and contents again via FTP, then re-downloaded the 3.0 theme, unzipped and re-uploaded it. This time, it installed cleanly. Maybe everything didn’t get deleted last time. Now things are working. There’s a page builder button that goes to a functioning page builder and no more broken shortcodes in your XML data that was imported. Thanks again, and thanks also for taking the time to make the how-to videos.

I absolutely like this theme, but we have a few problems after the update. I did the update using FTP, and now, 1. the fonts do not work properly, I want to have different size for the nav bar, but the size stays the same after changes, 2. the blog page is odd, it shows slider with strange slides, and only four articles teasers, but without photos, only text, where previously I had proper masonry blog page. the strange thing is, that the slides that I see on the blgo page, are the slides for the Home slider.
I think I know how to solve this. Do I need to put proper code in the window for the code on the blogs dashboard page, and choose “default” from the attributes list on the right?

1. There’s a minor bug with typography options in 3.0, but non that should cause font sizes to not work – is there anyway you could allow me to log in so I could check on it for you?
2.The only way a home slider could appear on a page is by the layout being selected in the page attributes box. There was nothing changed in regards to the blog for 3.0 so I’m confused how yours could have been altered, but again if I could log in I could clear it up for you

hello, Thank you for the lovely theme which is also very easy to setup for a no experienced user like me. I have some questions..
1. In the top navigation menu i want a menu item (page) to have a different colour on hover. Is this possible through the CSS Classes (optional) inside the menu structure?
2. In some pages i use the portfolio shortcode to make a portfolio page. I also use custom thumbnail images (600px*403px). The problem is when viewing the page the bottom part of the thumbnail is trimmed, or better is behind the footer. Is this a bug or am i doing something wrong?
3. Is it possible to make a carousel of images with titles who both link to a page. Like a in carousel menu that leads to pages.

1. Yes, you can add a class onto your desired menu item like “custom-color” for example and then add this to the Custom CSS box located in your Salient Options panel:

Updated to V3, seems like its busting up chrome pretty badly?
There’s space between full width sections and in the admin panel theres this giant crown/M icon thats sitting there in the bottom left corner, it’s interfering with editing the side. Looks like the icon from the menu is completely the wrong size?
Everything seems fine in Firefox though

Firstly great theme, flexible and very professional!
I do however seem to have an issue with full width sections. The full width seems to break on mobile revealing space either side exposing the page background?

Hi ThemeNectar, I’ve found the problem. It’s not about the memory. In my previous web page, it contains a tab section which contains three tabs. Each tab contains an embedded Youtube video. After I deleted this tabbed sections, the webpage is back to normal.
That’s strange – thanks for mentioning this to, I’ll note to test with this setup and see if I can find the issue
