Feel free to re-add the menu items with Link Type instead of adding Pages. For example, if you’d like to add a link to the “Samples” section, check the title of that section and use it as an anchor like this: www.yoursite.com/#my-samples-section-title and it will work.

I have tried this and it does not appear to work. Any other suggestions?

Another issue for that section that has come up is once you change the titles the text is expanding to another line. The double spacing is causing the other chapters to get pushed down to the next section. How can I limit the text from pushing down?

Hi and thanks for your purchase. You can view the FlatBook Changelog at the bottom of the item page. You can rewrite the “Choose a Chapter” title in template-samples.php at line 60. Regarding the chapter subtitle overflow issue i guess the title was too long what you’ve added, try using a title what fits the space of the boundaries. If it doesn’t fix the issue please provide a link to your site and i check it.

That worked great. A suggestion would be to include this field in the “Theme Options” section as not everyone is using this GREAT THEME for a book. Thanks!

Hi Andi, yes you can reorder the sections with changing 2 lines in the code, and only those sections will be visible what you add in the wordpress admin. I don’t know exactly where you’d like to add a social button, but i can help with it after your purchase if you stuck somewhere.

Hi and thanks for your purchase. The menu item links are attached to the section titles, so the method is first create the sections and when you’re ready with everything, create the nav.

In your case the problem seems to be that the section titles and the nav links aren’t the same so for example if you create a new (link typed) menu item for the “Samples” section in the wordpress admin and add the url thegreatdeparture.com/#sample-this (like your “Samples” section title) it will be fixed.

Although it can’t be done via the wordpress admin, you can easily reorder the home page sections if you open template-home.php. I’m afraid i don’t really understand your request about optimizing fb_colors.php, can you describe it with a bit more details?

I look forward to the update. I would have no problem in editing the template files as long as it’s documented. Do you have an estimate on the next release?

I have a speed/loading time issue with my site. It seems like the fb_colors.php file has very slow loading times. I have seen the file and in my setup I could potentially make it a static file.

I would be curious to know your opinion about it: once the colors are defined is any of the dynamic logic inside the file needed for the site to work properly? Could it be used as a simple file with no php code in?

At the moment there are just a few requests for the next update, i would wait until the update’s to-do list will be a bit longer. I guess it will be approximately 3-4 weeks.

You’re right, this solution is needed for the possibility of the unlimited color variations as a theme. If you already know what color will be used in your site, there’s no need for the php.

Thanks for your purchase! I guess the problem is the theme file is larger than the maximum upload size from the wordpress admin.

Upload the theme folder (called “FlatBook” in the downloaded package) via FTP to yoursite/wordpress/wp-content/themes. After it’s done, you have to activate the theme from the wordpress admin, just follow the documentation.

It was designed to have some text contents below the title, but if you’d like to leave it empty just insert some html breaks or enters in the content at the sample’s page.

The chapters summaries go over the gray bar as well.

There is a place for a maximum 4 summary, if you place 8 of them the design will broke of course.

It’s probably because you have different length in texts at the icon boxes, it was designed to use about the same length for example two rows of text at every box.

You can fix this if you add the following line of jQuery at the very end of js/custom.js file, just before the end of the document:

$(".include-box:eq(2), .include-box:eq(4)").css("clear","left");

So now your custom.js file’s end should look like this:

$(".include-box:eq(2), .include-box:eq(4)").css("clear","left");

One of my buyers had thesame issue yesterday, it seems wordpress 3.8 messed up the navigation a bit. You can easily resolve the problem by adding every menu items into custom links. For example:

Right, can i also change the map names? i.e #about-us would be #om-oss in norwegian..?

Yes you can, but if i’m correct, in a working solution you have to add all of the pages before adding the menu items to them.

Thanks for your purchase. Unfortunately errors like yours coming from the hosting server you are using or something may be messed up in your .htaccess file.

It has nothing to do with the theme, i suggest to contact your hosting provider for more information i’m sure they will help with this issue.
