For further customization of the text-based logo, you have to use default HTML codes such as <em> for italics. If you need advanced styling of a logo, an image based logo is always preferred.

Yes, the page is fully responsive since version 1.0.3 bug fix. Unfortunately, the demo wasn’t updated. We fixed an issue with responsive on this page in v1.0.3 but missed updating the demo.

logo is not responsive

The logo not changing in size is a design decision by our designer – that’s how it was styled to be displayed on mobile devices (for better branding on mobile devices). If someone wishes to change that, we can help achieve that with a few CSS line in the Custom CSS.

Sure. Not a problem. The logo is responsive – as in it changes its alignment to suit for responsive design – it just doesn’t resize due to branding reasons.

Before I purchase I need to know if I can use 336×280 sized adsense blocks in the sidebar. I see you have 300×250 preset ad blocks already but 336×280 would be the bomb

I am glad you like the theme. The 336×280 ad will work but it will be 10px wider than the sidebar headings such as Latest Galleries.
If you wish, we can help you make the sidebar a little larger without any negative effects on rest of the content.
Additionally, you can also use responsive Google Adsense blocks.

I would like to ask you is it possible to use other kind of gallery? I would like all of my images which belong to the post to be seen and the visitor to choose which one to click on and see it bigger.
Are you referring to default WordPress galleries with thumbnails. Here’s a relevant example using Tiled Mosaic Gallery: http://theme-sphere.com/smart-mag/quisque-turpis-arcu-congue-in-tincidunt/
Apart from that, you can use any of the WordPress default galleries and have them displayed as thumbnails in the post – clicking on them opens in lightbox.
Additionally, there are many other free gallery plugins available that work just fine with SmartMag and I can offer recommendations based on your requirement.

c) Sorry but like all other modern WordPress themes, using a featured image is a requirement. There are a few WordPress plugins that can help you here: Auto Post Thumbnail, Easy Add Thumbnail. These plugins still require that the images be attached to the post – i.e. not external image links. Try this it there are external images: http://wordpress.org/plugins/auto-featured-image/

The default slider uses Flexslider which supports a fade and a slide transition. We guided one of our buyers into implementing Meta Slider though (which supports 16 but has different style).

Love the theme!! but: 1. whatever i try i can’t get an menu placed, only with the widget ontop of the header instead of underneath it. 2. same thing with te colors ive changed them and they don’t show up in the site.

Your site is in maintenance mode, so can you please email us with an admin account that can access the site.
For the colors not changing/custom css not working, few hosts or plugins place an .htaccess file in wp-content or wp-content/themes/ folder that prevents SmartMag’s custom css from working.

the hosts does nothing to prevent this, ive tried it at different hosts. there are only the plugins that came with the theme or where suggested by the theme..

Hello I cannot seem to get the slider working? I check the box on 8 or more pieces of content in the posts, but the slider wont show up anywhere.

Perhaps you need to select the slider to show on your homepage. Edit the page you set as your frontpage, next to “Show Featured Slider?”, select “Default Slider”.

Is the share bar fixed to the bottom of content items? or is its placement selectable? like remove.. or have just at top. Just bottom. Or show top and bottom of content.

The default social buttons have two settings fixed at bottom of the post or disable. We can guide you on how to adjust them if you need them at any other place with a small edit.
Or you can use any of the great plugins SmartMag is compatible with such as Simple Share Buttons ( http://wordpress.org/plugins/simple-share-buttons-adder/ ), AddThis WP Plugin, Simple Social Sharing and so on. Plenty of great choices.

thanks for the quick reply. I know there are a lot of share plugins that play nice in a new theme but it’s always nice to keep the designers imprint imo. A lot of share plugins would work but then not match the theme atheistically.
Completely understandable. I prefer that too but usually our buyers have been interested in existing solutions being compatible. However, the recommendation was based on the plugins that have at least one style that match the theme design’s personality.

Basically, the right-side area isn’t any special widget area. It’s part of the main featured area. When you have 8 posts marked to be featured, 3 of them will display on the right side.
