Hi. I have one more question. Wich size should the pictures for the portfolio be? I’ve uploaded some now, but they are blurry and does not look good. My pictures are 727px x 400px

Hi,
I suggest that they should have 1200px wide at least. Optimal is something around 1400px and 1600px. The theme has the option to limit the center content width that will allow you stop images from resizing. Please refer to the theme documentation for more info.

I could use some help with this theme. I am struggling to get the masonry portfolio to work like the example on themeforest. After adding portfolio items, how do i get them to show up on the actual portfolio page? Also, How do i just create a gallery page (w/ lightbox) that looks like the masonry portfolio page?
Also, when using the simple gallery on the visual composer, how do i get the name of the image NOT to show up when you hover over it?

After adding the portfolio items they should appear on any portfolio page. They will not appear if you have selected only some skills/categories to be displayed on that page.
About the titles in the gallery: try adding this code under Samba Options>Custom Scripts>Custom CSS:

If you have already added some description to those portfolio items just make sure that on the portfolio page you have the option to show the post excerpt active.

You have uploaded the wrong folder… You must upload only the theme and you have uploaded the whole file package. I suggest you erase the theme from server and try again. Please follow the install video on the documentation folder.

Here’s what I have to say generally:
a) I don’t have any special tricks for better speed. I only have W3 Total Cache with the default settings;
b) According to GTMetrix the biggest problem is “Remove query strings from static resources”. Well these are added by default by Wordpress so maybe this is not a great idea, but if you want to “fix” that try this http://wordpress.org/support/topic/how-to-remove-query-strings-from-static-resources ;
c) If you find different results from my website and yours it has to do with your server settings or speed;

Also – i’m trying to make a video portfolio link… I seems that I need to use a featured image to have a thumbnail in the gallery (http://adultolescence.sites.musicwell.org/media/) but when I click on the video thumbnail, it displays the image as well as the video in slider form (http://adultolescence.sites.musicwell.org/portfolios/trailer/). How do I make sure the featured image doesn’t appear on the actual trailer page??? Thank you!

This slider does not support images on the description. If you need that type of feature I suggest that you install the plugin Revolution Slider (please notice that it does not go automatically to 100% height).

There seems to be some confusion here… The fullscreen slider page type has a slider whose images must fill 100% height. This means that on the sides you’ll will not be able to see the whole image. If you don’t want this don’t use the fullscreen slider page template.
This has nothing to do with the menu collapsing and, once again, I’m not aware of any bug with this.

right… I want it to use the full screen but not be partly covered by the menu. When I resize the browser window, the menu covers up part of the image. On yours, just as it begins to cover it up, the menu collapses—that is why I asked.

Once again: if you don’t want your image to be partially hidden don’t use that page template. Obviously, in this case the image can’t fill the whole screen vertically and keep the correct relative proportions.
Ok – perhaps you could tell me what proportions work best and I’ll modify the image? I’m just putting this on the home page… All I want is a full screen slider that will have the least amount of clipping possible so that the poster will always be present.
I just did this with a different theme for http://strangelyinlove.com with the revolution slider and there’s barely any clipping. The slider included with samba works well except for on square monitors… Everything about this theme including the page builder is really wonderful, but if I can’t make the homepage work, I’m screwed.

Hi! I am using the “Samba: Post Tag Links” widget in the sidebar, but there is no extra space between that widget and the widget below. I does not matter, which widget comes after the Post Tag Links widget or if the widget is no 1, 2, 3 etc. widget in the sidebar. This does not happen with any of the other widgets. Is there som additional styles I can ad to the theme to get this looking right?

I don’t understand exactly what you mean with that, but you can try and add whatever CSS code you want to the theme options.
As for making your text justified you can try and add a css class to that text or column (you will need also to add this class css and respective styling under Samba Options>Custom scripts>Custom CSS).

I use this ”.wpb_text_column {font-size:16px;}” on custom CSS, it effect in Text Block Element area. But on a Service Element area, this code not effect. Fonts still small, could you please help.

I have a very strange thing happening, never happened before.
I’ve uploaded the theme via FTP, in the admin panel running 3.8 of Wordpress, I go on and select one-click install and boom, white page and my admin panel is impossible to go to. Wierd thing is that I can go to the page but cant access my admin panel anymore….

Here’s some additional info:
1) If you add more than one gallery Visual Composer element to a page it will display perfectly;
2) On portfolio pages with the option to load posts on the same page now the filter is applied when you move to the next and previous portfolio entry;
3) Woocommerce release an update yesterday and it interfered with the product display. The update fixed that;

You can add shortcodes using the Text Element (simply paste them there). About your scripts: they may work depending on how they are coded in terms of loading events… The correct place to add them is on the other.js file located on the js folder.
