Hi! Am I able to make this change? Please see attached… http://i.imgur.com/1JOEsuj.jpg
My site is live here… http://harshacognitive.com/urbanworks/?portfolio=river-grove-mid-rise
Thank you!
Hey LiskaD!
It would be easy to remove the entire header with css, by altering the position of the arrows to be down there would require a file modification of the single-portfolio.php file.
Can I ask what the css is to remove just the header?
Sure
.project-title {
display: none!important;
}
.parallax_slider_outer.first-section {
margin-top: -42px !important;
}
Thank you!
Can I ask what the modifications are for the single-porfolio.php file is? Otherwise I’m probably going to have to ride my site so that all pages look like this… http://harshacognitive.com/urbanworks/?portfolio=louis-vuitton
Those carets are custom images.
It would involve moving this:
<ul class="controls">
<li id="prev-link"><?php be_next_post_link('%link','<i class="icon-salient-left-arrow-thin" />',TRUE, null,'project-type'); ?>
<li id="next-link"><?php be_previous_post_link('%link','<i class="icon-salient-right-arrow-thin" />',TRUE, null, 'project-type'); ?>
</ul>
to the sidebar div
How would I get my portfolio thumbs to open into a lightbox like you have on Gallery Only.
Thank YOu!!
Hey zechnelson! Just check the option for Lightbox Only in the portfolio element you’re adding to your page – note this is only an option int he portfolio page builder element/shortcode so if you’re using the portfolio page layout instead, unassign that
I have an issue where if I have two video sliders (Nectar Sliders on a page with video backgrounds) it won’t play in IE. But, if I have one video slider it works. I can basically get a spinning circle if I have two or more enabled, but if only one slider is enabled it works fine. Any thoughts? Running latest version of Salient.
Please see Ticket: #173132
Hey ctingom! I apologize for the delay – It’s worth noting that every time you post a new comment before I respond your tickets gets unintentionally bumped to the bottom of my queue since on my end tickets are sorted from oldest to newest in terms of last comment posted. Unfortunately you’ve reset your position to the bottom 9 times in the past 2 days – please try and refrain from posting that many comments before I get a chance to see it in order to allow me to answer it faster
Cheers
Ok that makes sense, thanks!
You’re welcome
Just so new buyers are aware, I have re-purchased this theme, great support, brilliant theme. Highly recommended.
Thanks a lot 312Media!
Cheers
whether the “portfolio” can support paging?
Hey offidea, yes there’s an option for pagination you can toggle
Olá, _‘
I can’t register in support forum…
Hey nocomments,
sorry to hear – this might be related to the new version of ticksy. Can you contact me at themenectar@gmail.com so I can attempt to give you access?
Cheers
Hi guys, i am sure you have been asked this before, is it possible to have the comment form on a page? I have it enabled to post comments but the form is not appearing and it doesn’t work with any facebook plugins or jetpack on a page. I read in one comment you were going to implement this to the update, any ideas on when this will be available?
Ciao!
Hey Nojule!
You can add support for this by opening your page.php file and pasting this in:
<div class="comments-section">
<?php comments_template(); ?>
</div>
right before this:
</div><!--/row-->
Cheers
Good morning
I wanted to ask a question re the theme and probably in particular the portfolio display. I’m liking the layout of the photos but wondered if there was some way that you could specify one larger and two smaller – like a grid? Eg: In a 3×3 regular grid, you may have one photo taking up 2×3 and then three photos directly next to this on the right-hand side.
I’ve seen this on some sites and wondered if this would be possible, or is there some other plugin that may allow me to do this.
I’ve seen this on Facebook for example where you can have one image featured over others and it’s then shown larger. I’ve also seen it on sale sites like Buyinvite and Ozsale.
Look forward to hearing from you soon.
Thanks Dan
Hey Dan!
The masonry portfolio option allows you to choose from 4 different sizes as seen here: http://themenectar.com/demo/salient/portfolio-fullwidth-masonry/ that’s the only thing in place for this type of display and it sounds like it could possibly satisfy your needs
Thanks for the quick reply, that may actually do it!! May have to modify a few things (hopefully spacing etc) but I guess that is all possible with css!! How easy is it to specify each item a different size? Where is that set?
You can search for “elastic-portfolio-item ” in the style.css and responsive.css files
Is the sizing of these controlled within the portfolio setting or on the individual portfolio item?
You can define a size for each project inside each individual item
Ok cool

Custom Scroll looks nice but disables me to copy text with the cursor from the website that is longer than the screen. Can I disable the custom scrollbar?
Hey royaltask! Yes, there’s an option to disable the smooth scrolling/custom scrollbar right in the general settings tab of the Salient options panel
Hello
GREAT THEME… well worth every penny!
QQ – for a multilingual site, I was wondering if (and where/ how) I can change the text that is displayed in the search box when clicking on the magnifying glass in the header – it currently says “start typing” – can i have multiple localised instances for this for each langauge that i am working with? i am working with the VPML plugin for multi languages.
thanks!
Thanks jensredmer!
That string is included in the .po file so you should indeed be able to translate it through your plugin to have it display properly in multiple languages. You can confirm this in the header-search.php file located in the includes folder in the theme directory
Hi,
First of all great theme!
I’m planning to have a menu that lists the categories and sub-categories. Is it possible to have:
1. sub-category images appear when category is clicked. The sub-category images would be clickable and when clicked would display images of the posts within it
2. When sub-categories are clicked images of its posts would appear, these would be clickable and send the user to the actual post
Thanks in advance for your help!
Thanks ctrlinternet!
This would take custom development if you needed #1 to be dynamic i.e. the list would auto update when new sub categories are added. If you can live without this, you could easily make a page of images that are linked to the actual category pages of your blog which would display the posts normally and be clickable to the single post page
Cheers
Awesome looking theme!
Any way you could get the demo to work?
Thanks courtrightdesign
I’m a bit confused as to what you mean as there’s been no known downtime of the demo in the past 24 hours.
Cheers
I just checked again and it’s still down for some reason my friend. I can send you a screen shot if you like. I try clicking on “Live Preview” and all you see is the logo and nav
Again, love the theme but just want to see it fully in action
That’s really strange – what browser & OS are you viewing on? There’s been no other reports of similar behavior.
Chrome, Mac OS-X
Just checked on my macbook pro using Chrome latest version and also can’t see the issue :/
What version of Chrome are you on?
Version 32.0.1700.107
And have you attempted to view on another browser/computer just to see?
Just checked on Firefox on the same computer and it looks great there. Might be an issue with Chrome.
I would try Chrome on another computer when you get a chance as well
sup again – hope all is good on your end – theme is rocking it like usual – curious if there is a way to have the toggles, when set to accordion, not have a default selection? so i guess no selection until a toggle is clicked, then it acts as an accordion.
much thanks!
Hey ozoneinteractive!
Yes, just open the init.js file located in the js folder and remove this section:
//accordion start open
$('.accordion > .toggle').first().addClass('open').find('> div').show();
$('.accordion > .toggle').first().find('a i').attr('class','icon-minus-sign');
Cheers
great thanks man! – how about close on click? i should probably not use the toggle as an accordion…but maybe there’s a quick way to expand and contract the toggle so there is no default view? if not no worries. thanks for the help
You’re welcome! It would require a new javascript event actually since there’s nothing in place for that with accordions
Hi Thanks for a brilliant theme, It really is! Quick question, is there a way to reduce the space between the widgets on the blog sidebar? Im trying to fit many items in there and between the “tags” and “categories” titles there is a space I would like to save for something else!
Thanks in advance.
Thanks a lot itscroma!
Add this into the Custom CSS box located in your Salient Options panel:
body #sidebar > div {
margin-bottom: 25px!important;
}
Cheers
Thanks
You’re welcome

This is the problem page: http://wp.motif.com.tw/room_nihao/ (already add your IP address to access our site)Hey saggimo, you’ll need to open a ticket in regards: themenectar.ticksy.com and then add my IP again as I don’t have access currently. Please make that a private ticket with admin credentials so I can log in and sort it for you

I tried to change the color of the social media icons in the header using CSS, but it only works in Chrome, and not Firefox or Safari. Is there a different way to do this?
.icon-twitter:before { color: #5fa9dd!important; }
.icon-facebook:before { color: #3b579d!important; }
.icon-linkedin:before { color: #057bb6!important; }
.icon-google-plus:before { color: #da2713!important; }
Hey ctingom!
Just remove the
:before
from your selectors
Cheers
Strangely, it only works with the :before in my code. I think I had another CSS issue that had caused it to not work earlier. Thank you.
Glad you’ve sorted it
Cheers
Hi there,
Any news on a fix for logo loaded over http instead of https which breaks security protocol?
I’ve manually loaded logo using https as an interim fix but isn’t working in all browsers.
Thanks!
Hey jskozina, this is still on the to-do list for the next update – I’d be curious to see how your implementation is failing in certain browsers though to help out.
Cheers
One of the few themes on the TF, in which parallax feature working properly in all browsers. Especially want to note correct work in Google Chrome v33 in Windows. Has long been searching such a theme and will definitely buy.
LOL. When I asked other developers about incorrect working of parallax in Chrome, some tried to convince me that my eyes are blinding me others that it is a Chrome bug.
Thank you for your nice work.
Thanks a lot mishka48! Yes – a lot of planning has gone into the parallax functionality of the theme since it is one of the cornerstones of Salient
Cheers
1. I love you
2. How do I left justify the sort portfolio function links to give me more room for sort categories and remove the awkward “ALL” text? See example here: http://helicoptertours-sandiego.com/services-2/Hey savagejw!
1.
#portfolio-filters-inline #current-category {
display: none!important;
}
#portfolio-filters-inline .container ul {
float: let!important;
max-width: 100%!important;
}
Cheers
Does the template support Visual Composer 4.01?
Hey OnlineThemes, no it does not yet.
Cheers
