Thank you for purchasing Vertikal! I’m glad that you like it It’s possible but by doing some custom modifications. Of course it’s a good suggestion and I’ll add this option in next updates To give you a work around about this please edit this file:
/wp-content/plugins/js_vertikal_addons/index.php
and the codes which you should customize is around line 380 to 386. I hope you could do this yourself but if you don’t have experience in PHP coding, please kindly open a ticket in http://themique.ticksy.com and I’ll help even more about it
About your second question, you should download and install this plugin:
https://github.com/envato/envato-wordpress-toolkitand then create an API key into your ThemeForest account and set it there, and this way, you’ll be able to upgrade Vertikal whenever I release a new version.

I believe you are on the last step to upgrade your theme to the latest version and I hope this problem will resolve by upgrading to latest version.
By the way, I would appreciate if you could try this on another computer with Firefox and see if this only happens on your computer or it’s a common issue on all Firefox browsers because this is not happening on my Firefox… and I also tried this on www.browserstack.com and this didn’t happen on several devices there…

oups i try to go true the EAZY steps but you guys lost me here fisrt i used that : https://github.com/envato/envato-wordpress-toolkit and then there is no eazy visual steps i was lost in a lot of reading and for a beginner like me i tryed to click on a few big text that seem s like a download or a link for the next step but it brang to another site where i had to subscribe at GitHub but it was not clear where i was in the steps , i mean that’s not what i call eazy. Thank you for sharing what you done. OK, so I guess you’ve installed Envato WordPress Toolkit right now and you’ve set your API key to it, right?
If so, This message: “Updating this theme will lose any customization you have made. Cancel to stop Ok to update”
Means that theme files will be replace with the new version. So if you’ve changed the theme files manually, your customization will be lost. But if your customizations are what you done in Theme Options, then you won’t need to worry about it because this plugin will only replace the files and theme options will stay unchanged.
By the way, once you’ve upgraded your theme, you need to go to “Appearance > Theme Options” and save your setting once.
I’m sorry if this was not that easy for you but I thought it’s easier to install this plugin and upgrade your theme without copying your files in FTP and replacing the files manually. Of course now that you’ve configured this plugin, the next time that I upgrade Vertikal, you only need to click on “Upgrade Now” to upgrade to the latest version

Super thank you the upgrade was done successfully. I now have a new problem . When i whant to login on my Dashboard it does not go, it stay on the login page for 5 minutes and then a error message appear. What wrong ! i did clean my history on Chrome and Firefox but the problem stay ! Thank you for your help !

If it stays on the login page for a few minutes and did not login, it’s probably some issue with your web host. By the way, it really depends on the error message that it returns.

I am trying to change the parameters through theme options BUT whatever I change it doesn’t respond (e.g Logo Background Color). The color which i want is displayed correctly in theme options after saving BUT it doesn’t change on the site. The only thing that works is text (e.g Contact Email Address) on “Header Top Bar” Options.
Why is this happening???? Please help me.

Thank you for purchasing Vertikal! These settings will convert to some CSS codes which will be written in a file in theme root directory named dynamic.css.
From what you said, I guess your web server does not have write permission on this file.
If you are using a Linux web server, you should be able to set the write permission by logging into your FTP and give 644 (or even 666) to this file and then trying to save your theme options again.
If your site is hosted on a windows server, please contact your web host and ask them to check the write permission on your site.

If you are using an old version of Vertikal, please kindly upgrade to Vertikal v1.2 or newer and then you’ll be able to add the review to pages with page builder This option has been added to the new versions.
About google headshot, it will automatically added to posts. But if you want them in your pages too you should add some codes manually into your page HTML codes.

Hi i have 2 problems. 1) I can’t find a way to change the right sidebar width to 300px (in blog pages)
2) I change the fonts in the css, i don’t want to use google fonts, i change it to specific family fonts , it works but after a few hours…it changes back to google fonts by it’s self . (i change the dynamic.css and style.css)

Thank you for purchasing Vertikal! We are using bootstrap 3 for our HTML layout and in bootstrap you should not set a fixed width for your sidebars.
It’s 1/3 of the content area and in responsive mode ( small screens ) it will turn to 100% automatically. So if you set it to 300px manually, it won’t show well on your site.
About the second issue, please add your custom CSS files in “Appearance > Theme Options > Custom CSS” or make a child theme and put your CSS codes in style.css file which is in the root directory of the child theme.
Your codes are removed automatically because once you save your theme options, it will re-generate the dynamic.css file automatically. So when you put your codes inside dynamic.css manually it will reset once you save your options.

If you want to customize the sidebar color, you should give the background color to “.sidebar” class.
Please note that you should give a top margin to it too. This way it will look better.

No worries, I may use Accordion sections for the time being – but this brings me to a new question! Please bear with my wordy explanation…
When using Accordion sections, the first section always appears as expanded upon page-load. Visual Composer docs say that they have the ability to have all accordion sections collapsed upon initial page load, but that feature seems to be missing in the VC plugin for Vertikal – is this something that can be amended?

Hello Welkin,
Please go to “Appearance > Widgets” and add your desired widgets into your footer widgets.
If you want to change the layout of footer ( 3 cols, 2 cols and/or other combinations ), Please go to “Appearance > Theme Options > Footer Settings” and change the layout there.
Also if you want to add special elements from page builder such as tabs or … please go to “Magic Widget” post and add that element as a new magic post and then in your widgets add magic post and choose this new element there.

For the portfolio filter you have “Show All”, the problem for me is that I’m using the template in Spanish language, those two words are note translated and could be great to be able to change it in whatever language you use.

Yes, this could be done easily.
Please first create all the pages that you said above. Then in page “Portfolio” add a new element via Visual Composer and choose “Portfolio”. Then in its settings, select all of your categories.
Then in “Portfolio A” page, add a new element via Visual Composer again and choose “Portfolio” again. This time only choose the “Portfolio A” category.
And finally in page “Portfolio B” do the above instructions only for the third category.
This will make your site with 3 portfolio pages which the main page will show all portfolio items, and sub pages will only show your specific categories.
