The “Vogue” (a sub-category of Entertainment) is just a category label. This category (“Entertainment”) has a “Category Slider” enabled which shows 8 posts (5 on left, 3 on right) – you can choose either to show latest posts or mark with “Featured Slider Post?” for each post.

We understand it can be a little confusing as our demo was created to show many possibilities in few places.

If I have a category with 3 items and the slide enabled, as you can see on the right side?

Cannot completely understand the question. If you only have 3 posts in a category, you will only see 3 posts on left-side. You can disable the category slider for that category. The category slider is manually enabled for each category.

Images are copyrighted by owners so are not included so next step would be to set real images for your posts. The imported media is just placeholder gray rectangle images.

You will get all the pagebuilder pages but you will have to setup sidebar widgets by following documentation (we have mentioned which 4 widgets are in the sidebar).

1. Which plugin is it? The language doesn’t matter but if a plugin misbehaves, it will not work. Fortunately, there are many plugins available to choose from.

2. If you have a plugin you can use that for login but you will have to disable our login system and use the plugin’s login system instead.

3. You can see the default social share buttons available on the demo. It will work with all those whether they’re Chinese.

4. Yes. It uses all the WordPress’s default translation methods. It hasn’t been tested with Polylang yet, but it’s fully compatible with WPML.

1. http://wordpress.org/plugins/wp-connect/ <—they started selling paid version (I intend to use) and stopped developing this free version. They are totally Chinese though.

2. I just wonder how their login interface will look like. Is it totally depending on their design i.e. to be a sidebar widget?

3. Again, I wonder how they will appear. Will your theme influence how they appear or will it just leave a blank space for the plugin?

1. Sorry but it’s fully Chinese so we cannot confirm if it will work or not.

2. Plugins sometimes use their own styling and sometimes rely on theme styling. If it includes a widget, it will use theme’s sidebar styling as normal for headings and spacing but we cannot confirm about anything else.

We haven’t fully tested it yet, but it should work. But the changes you’re referring to will have to be applied in the relevant files in bbpress/ folder of SmartMag. Another fact is that you will have to use the login system of that plugin if you intend to use it – not the built-in one you see on demo.

Yes the theme does support RTL. We know of a few users using it on Arabic sites but we don’t have a full Arabic translation yet. You will have to translate it yourself.

There are two types of mega menus you can see in the Demo. For example, the one under “Features” – you can add any links here you want – external or local doesn’t matter.

The second example is under Entertainment. That requires category to be the top-level item – the links to the left-side can be anything though.

Social Sharing buttons are only displayed on single posts (not pages). About the author social icons, you have to edit the author’s profile in WordPress and set the fields for social icons.
