Wonderful update! However, I noticed my header titles have disappeared, leaving only the subtitles. The portfolio project titles are hidden, too.

Amazing Theme! I´d like to have a random Sorting of the Portfolio-Page, so that each Time a Visitor loads the Page the Portfolio ist sorted new. Is that possible?

Right now this would require some custom development in regards to the portfolio query. It’s possible there might be a plugin to assist but I’m not sure – I’ve noted this idea for the wishlist though.

Hello I have missing transparent header option, can’t find it anywhere.
Also new portfolio styles are missing. I think of failed update, but I done everything as in description > delete old theme and replace with new one.

I would like to create custom header and footer for the page (custom code) and just use masonry fullpage portfolio from the theme. Is this hard to implement or not? So actually, the question would be: is it hard to extract masonry fullpage portfolio from the rest of the theme?

Hey martincheq! This wouldn’t be too hard actually – since it’s actually just a page builder element all you need to do is modify the header.php/footer.php and you’d be set

Just make sure you’re supplying either a full width nectar slider or page header at the top of any page you wish for it to display transparent. Also note if you’re using a custom header color scheme – it’s a known current issue that it won’t work (this is going to be fixed in tonights release). If that’s not the case please supply me a URL to a page where it’s failing

I need some help with the new header options.
It seems you can only use the transparent header when you choose dark/light under header colour scheme – not custom?
Problem is i want to change the colors of the header when the page is scrolled down and the header becomes a solid colour.
How can i do this?

the big banner at the top does not scroll as fast as the elements underneath. because of that, some of the text and graphic elements overlay the banner and it looks strange. it doesn’t happen in chrome or firefox. only in safari 6 i hope that helps?

yes please, i need this theme! 
and i have one wish for the future: an alternative for the loading bg style of the banner. instead of the grey background with the stripes…just a black fade in effect or something similar. because the grey background is to important at the moment.
but nonetheless it is a really awesome theme! the most versatile theme i have ever seen here! really great job!

I was wondering if I can have a blog/portfolio category page, that will display all the posts/portfolios not by it’s title and description only, but with its full content, in a style similar to the portfolio “basic item” ?
Basically I’m trying to achieve a portfolio page (or blog category) that will look like this: http://ashleygillett.com/category/wedding-photography/As you can see this is basically just a “portfolio basic item(s)”, one after another… If it’s not currently possible, will you please consider adding this / guide me on how to modify the theme to allow this?

This wouldn’t be currently possible without a good deal of css work but I will indeed add it to the wishlist. If you needed it done now I’m sure someone at microlancer could assist you with this mod very cost effectively since it will only be css in the end.

After seeing this big update im now considering this as my own portfolio but have a few questions.
1) Is it possible to create a ‘client logo grid’ that fits within a full width container and that reacts on rollover (lights up or changes color) and that I can add a link to work externally or internally? However, whilst im ok at basic CSS im not highly experienced so if its not a shortcode then I would need hand holding. 2) Is it possible to easily switch off the down arrows next to each link in the main menu. 3) The rollover states on the main menu seem a little subdued when highlighted if im creating a top level only menu (no sub nav) so is there an easy way to either add a highlight effect (a line above/below or to add a box behind the menu selection) 4) Is there a preloader animation on this theme. I say this only because the demo seems very sluggish on my ipad and takes a while to load even on my new MBP laptop. I couldnt see a ‘spinny thing’ loader so I assumed it was happening in the background but it wasnt obvious

Hi there – ignore point (4) – Ive just taken another look and it is there although I would say the site feels quite sluggish on my Mac (MBP top end) and iPad. Im assuming thats due to content but even so compared to some other sites it still feels a bit sluggish

1. Yes, you can place the clients element in a full width content row and add links to each item. The default hover effect for a client logo with a link is a opacity change, but if you know css you can mod that to be what you need
2. This would require a line of css that I could provide.
3. You can control what the hover color is on the top links, but unfortunately there’s no option to add a line or BG color to them without css.

Im trying to decide between your theme and one called EDEN and I was wondering what your support service setup is like... I originally posted this 11 hours ago and whilst its not a criticism it is a consideration. Is this the normal turnaround period per query? From your accent in videos you sound like your are based in the US - which coast? and how many support people are there?Do you answer questions in Themeforest or is there a full forum/ticket service you get when you buy the theme?

@thomasmki Sorry to sound like this, but surely you checked the theme demo first ??? A simple line of css within the custom css box within the theme sorts it just fine You haven’t been misled at all it is transparent on first load, besides why would you want a transparent header when scrolling down a page, surely you would turn off the header on scroll (which you can do) then it stays fixed and always stays transparent at the top ??
P.s. I should have to use any css when it says i don’t need to.

@thomasmki I have spent many years learning wordpress and building websites, I have also bought a lot of themes from a lot of authors, I have to say that theme nectar has one of the best customer support I have ever seen, (which is testament to someone who has sold over 14,000 copies and replies to every comment on here). Salient itself is an awesome theme with masses of customisation, in future before purchasing a theme wouldn’t it be best (like I do) to check with the author about your requirements and also extensively go through the demo?. Personally I think you should retract your statement above, you haven’t even waited for a reply from the author before launching into an attack on the theme. (PS With a bit of simple CSS you can make the header transparent). – Have a bit more patience!

I find it irritating that is changes into a non transparent header.
You shouldn’t be advertising it as a transparent header when its not a 100% transparent header.
What you’re doing is technically illegal because that is a lie…it’s more of a transparent header half the time
And can we eliminate the line showing where the header is?
if not can I get my money back since I was falsely misled in your advertising of this product.

I’m confused from where you’re coming from on this one. The demo clearly portrays the transparent functionality the header offers – If you were looking to keep it transparent all of the time instead of only at the top, one line of css would be all that is needed. It appears I’ve answered you about this a month ago, but as I can see from your comments below you don’t want the use that line or really want my help.
I’m confused why you’re demanding a refund over feeling misled by a feature that was released less than 24 hours ago when your purchase of the theme was long before that. Regardless, I also don’t feel that it is deceptive in anyway considering I demonstrate exactly how it works on the demo and i’m honestly not sure where all of your anger is coming from since I’ve shown you nothing but respect in the past.
Unfortunately I don’t have the power to personally grant a refund so you’ll have to go through Envato support for that. As Rich pointed out, some good advice would be to look at the demo of the product you’re purchasing and ask questions if you need clarification

I was SO excited to see this major update – seriously, you’ve done a fantastic job. Keep it up. I have a few questions re: the new theme.
1. I can’t find the shortcode for the new team option; it isn’t in the option list when using the standard team shortcode.
2. I’d like to have the images for each Team Member open to a modal window using Easy Modal – is that possible?
3. Is there an option/way to change the color of the mobile menu to white instead of the dark grey? It’s really hard to see the down arrows.

1. I’ve only added it in as an option in the page builder for now – see the “Visual Composer” button to access it
2. You can define the link that each team member element has so as long as you can call the modal through that then yes! If not, i would require minor tinkering with the shortcode-processing.php file.
3. Yes, with some css – can you open a ticket in regards and let me know the # here?

Some are better suited like the team member style since a lot of the inputs switch conditionally based on which style is selected – this is something that’s more intuitive to do in VC – however, for now you can simply add the element through VC and switch back into the class editor. Everything will still work
