Hi, Theme Nectar I have to start off by saying great work guys. This theme is awesome!
Is there a way to open a contact 7 form in a prettyPhoto window by pressing the site wide “call to action” button?

Absolutely love the template; however, I was wondering if there was a way to combine some of the CSS elements or JS files as the loading time is quite long for me. My only concern is that people with slower internet speeds will not be able to load the site. Are there more options to speed up the loading times?

Hey cptnyr! You can control the font size of the heading in the Nectar Slider in the Typography options tab of the Salient options panel (make sure you’re on 4.0+ too as the options were refined)

Check out the contact options tab in your Salient Options panel in regards – at the very bottom you’ll see an option for “Greyscale Color” once you activate that you’ll unlock another option for “Map Extra Color”.

Pre purchase question
You use animated counters. I suppose the counters count to a fixed/set number. Is it possible to count to something variable eg number of posts in a custom post category or number of items in a woocommerce category?
Like so the counter would count to a different number everytime i add a post to a certain category.
If this is not possible atm could it be added in a future update?

it would require custom development to have the count to number be dynamic – right now it can only be based off a static number you provide.

Awesome theme.
After also purchasing 4.0 and upgrading to 4.01 when I add ‘accent-color’ to my button I have added to my header it is a green color rather than the blue color I put as accent color. This has only occurred after the update.
Also, a few of my pages are no longer working. I have no idea why this is. Do you have an email where I can send you the page url’s?
The pages go completely blank, I have change nothing at all and have not added any plugins. The pages just no longer show at all.

1. If you’ve added a custom button into your header make sure it now has this attribute on it:
data-color-override="false"
so all together might look like:
<a href="" class="nectar-button" data-color-override="false"> This is a button</a>
3. That’s the standard message from Visual Composer if you’re adding things in the classic editor that would need to be converted into a row. Make sure you’re not adding anything outside of a VC row in that view and the message won’t happen.

Another question I have is how I can stop the icon animation. ie when the mouse is over the text below a ‘large alt’ button it flickers.
Is there a way I can change this for individual icons and not throughout my whole site?

Unfortunately the large icon styles must have a hover effect activated by the column they reside in – remove this would require unbinding the hover states in the style.css and colors.php files. If you wanna try that just search for the ”.icon-3x” to end up at all the places in the files.

Is there any way for me to have a very slim header/menu?
I like the size of the menu when you scroll down the page and it becomes slightly slimmer, is there any way to have this permanently?

There’s an option for you to define your own header padding in the Header options tab of the Salient Options panel. If you want to start with something smaller try entering “20” or “15” in for the value. Also if you want to disable the header resize effect there’s an option for that too

Since updating to version 4.0 and now 4.0.1 our CTA button is showing your colour and not the acct colour we have in our theme, I have of course tried to reset the colour by changing colours and it works as a See Through, Extra Colour 1,2,3 but just doesn’t work with “Accent Colour”
Is anybody else facing the same?

Just purchased the theme last night, and it looks great!
I have a question with the portfolio pictures sizes. I’m currently using the 4 column fixed grid view and for some reason the tiles are not the same size. Is there a certain size the pictures have to be? From my understanding, the pictures have to be 800px wide, but even that was causing an issue. Seems like the pictures are being scaled down to size rather then cropped to size. Here is the page: http://www.animefanpage.com/anime-list/
Not sure if that’s the issue or not, but if you could shed some light on this, that would be great!

Also, would this theme be compatible with buddy press? looking to allow users to great their own blogs. If not, it would be a great addition to any future updates!

Hi! Would you suggest me some plugin for Video SEO (Video XML Sitemap creation and automatic Video Schema) full compatible with Salient Page Builder? These who I tried only worked with youtube url links (not embed player videos) on blog posts… I want the portfolio and the main pages of the site to be indexed as well.

1. From what I know on the subject a lot of the plugins are only going to be looking for a raw video url and might miss videos added through the Visual Composer video element because of that. You can try simply adding the video URL alone in a text block element to get it to pick it up though.
2. If you want to index the other pages on your site such as the portfolio etc you just need to use a plugin like Yoast SEO to set up the proper meta data for each page

I just purchased some new icons from The Noun Project, and would like to use them in the TEXT WITH ICON section of Nectar Elements. How would I go about adding these new icons to that section? Or, is there a better way to implement?

The easiest way to go about this would be to simply select the image option within that element so you can upload your own icon image. Unfortunately adding a new icon font itself would require some additional development.

Hello. 1) Is there a way to apply the transparent header to the top bar? Looks kind of strange when the top bar is colored and menu section is transparent. 2) Love the image meta captions for team element. Is there any way to apply this type of overlay and caption to single images? If not, can you please consider this. Thanks!

2. You could just use the team member element to create the style as it can be placed in any size column and the “name” and “job title” can really be any information.

Pricing Plan in Visual Composer maxes out at 5 columns (there’s no more + buttons after).
Is there a current solution to adding more columns?
Hey ehong33234, that’s a limitation I enforced manually since that’s the max number of columns that can reasonably fit in a single row on all desktop displays. If you simply need to display more plans you can use multiple rows stacked over each other
This theme just keeps getting better! I’d love to buy it, but are there any plans to incorporate more icons like the lineicons, I like them in the theme, but it doesn’t look like there are too many – any plans to extend with more thin style icons?

How do you delete all dummy content from the previous version of the theme so that I might use the new dummy content from the most recent version of this theme.

Just go into your pages and use the select all button: http://i.imgur.com/KbSYt1w.jpg to highlight all of your pages to move to the trash (then do the same thing in the trash to permanently remove them). Also remember to delete your page menu too

Hmm.. I just went through all of these steps. I even downloaded the latest version of the theme again to make sure I’m not using the wrong or older files. Now, my menu is not the same as the demo. Most notably, the “portfolio” button at the top of the page does not display the same pages when I roll over it.
I don’t even see that I have the corresponding pages are that support the additional links in the demo.

I did this. I deleted all posts, pages, menus, portfolios. I then uploaded the new “dummy content” (content for dummies). The navigation is not the same as the navigation in your demo. The portfolio button does not have the same drop down buttons as the demo. Hmmm…

I’m using a file names “dummy-data.xml”. Is this the correct file?

There’s two dummy data folders included with the current download, one called “modern creative dummy data” and the other called “clean all-purpose dummy data” – make sure you’re grabbing the dummy-data.xml out of the correct folder
I’m am using the dummy data within the fold titled “modern creative dummy data”.
Also, when I import the dummy data, I’m getting this message:
Failed to import Media “weather-app1” Failed to import Media “line” Failed to import Media “flippin-the-bird1”
I’m assuming this message is irrelevant since it’s only referencing a few pieces of media.

Hello. It looks like the menus and sub-menus are getting cut off when they are located on the far right side. Any solution for this? Seems to only occur when using the full width header. Thanks!

Had to say wow – the Visual Composer is awesome. This theme just gets better and better. Is it possible to have more than one image gallery on the same page? My page fails to load if I put more than one image gallery. Still loving the theme, thanks.
