SmartMag by default only comes with Right Sidebar. But you can replace the right sidebar with a left sidebar by adding this CSS to your Theme Settings: http://theme-sphere.com/forums/topic/sidebar-position/#post-290 (visible once registered).
Regarding your “fixed” menu question, please check the “Sticky Navigation” feature on demo. Is that what you are looking for?

I’d like to know if it is possible to custom a category the same way you can custom a page (with the drag and drop tool which is great !).
My goal is to put a “News focus block” in the category (it would display the sub cat + the post of the category that is selected).

I’d like to use an image as background in the header and therefore I want to increase the height of the header space, so that I could use a bigger image.

Hi, I’ve got your theme installed and am in the process of setting it up. The only issue I seem to be having is the leaderboard ad. I use ad rotate and your theme won’t pick up the short code or the php snippet that ad rotate provides me for the ad group in the box you provide for that spot on your options.

Hi, I implemented the theme and everything’s fine except for one thing. Yesterday I changed the theme-color of the theme in Design -> Theme Settings -> Style & Color but today it changed back to its default color and whenever I change it to another color the color on the blog won’t change while it says in settings that it’s changed.
And I have one more question. Is it possible to add some kind of Twitter Widget which can be placed e.g. in the right sidebar or the large footer and shows recent tweets?

1. That error is usually caused when you change the Blog URL and one of your installations is giving a 404 Error on main page. If you cannot figure it out, our technical support should be able to precisely figure out a solution for your issue.
2. You can use any of the Twitter widget plugins available on WordPress. You can even use Twitter’s default Embedded Timelines.

I have chosen both of options. But says something displayed “Error” messages.

My PayPal account is everything’s fine.

hi i was wondering . I found this theme on another site . But when i see a post on that site i can click like next on the picture on an arrow so i can see 15 pictures of that post . The page reloads then ( good for ads ) yesimbored.com <== this site . Is that standard in the theme or not ?

The site seems to be using something custom. The pagination is a default feature with <!-nextpage-> but the next/prev icons over images are done custom on that site by the user.
An alternative option is by using the ImageBrowser version of NextGen gallery free plugin. http://www.nextgen-gallery.com/imagebrowser/
The example isn’t perfect but when you use it in a post, it will display one image per page with prev/next buttons. Also, there are many more views of NextGen you can see no their website.

Hi, I’ll ask one more question. I can’t displayed News Focus Block. I was read yours documentation and choosed parent category on “Writings>Category’. After I am go to the “Pages>Home Page>Page Builder” and Click on “Highlights Block”. After I select the parent category and 2 columns. I choosed my parent category of first column. But I can’t continue. You are said that “By default all sub-categories under this category will be displayed in tabs. You can choose your own sub-categories by ticking them manually.” But I can’t choose my own sub-categories. What should I do?

Are you running SmartMag v1.5.2? In older versions, there was an issue where categories with 0 posts weren’t listed at all – you had to create at least one post.

First, please create a homepage by following the documentation and then Set a slider. Once that’s done, if selected the 2nd option in slider, you will have to mark 8 posts as “Featured Slider Post?” (shown as an option while creating or editing a post).

How would I use this with WooTumblog and what would it look like, appearance-wise?

We haven’t tested WooTumblog with SmartMag as there hasn’t been any demand yet. Please note that is an advanced plugin that requires you to make many code edits – as mentioned in the Help section of that plugin. So if you do have some experience in being able to edit the code, we should be able to assist you. If not, setting it up might not be possible.
It will mostly look the same as the default category listing templates but with added icons.

The sample data will not include images but you can import placeholders instead (gray background images). Sidebar Widgets & Forums Sample data is not included but it’s pretty simple to setup and it’s all covered in the documentation. Everything else is included. You can check the Documentation and decide. We have had totally new WordPress users who didn’t have any problems.

I love the theme first of. But when i share my site on facebook, the link FB creates does not include my logo, or the image i have set for Opengraph. It just selects 2/3 randome images from the front page.
Where/how do i set one perticular image i want to be shared for the frontpage?
The posts work perfectly, when i share these, then the correct images show up.

By default, that behavior is done only on full-width page but advanced usage is certainly possible. While the page-builder adds the smart adapting blocks (small 2 columns with sidebar, larger 2 columns on full-width), you can definitely use a simple shortcode to make it single column. The shortcodes are explained in documentation for advanced usage, but if you get stuck, you can always ask support at forums to assist you.

The Page Builder should be visible when you add a new page from Pages > Add New. It will be on the left side of “Visual” and “Text” tab above the post editor. If it’s not visible, please reply with your admin info and site URL in a private reply.
If not, go to Appearance > Install Plugins and install the recommended plugins.
