Hi really nice theme! Just one question – is there a slideshow option for the single portfolio pages which is not fullscreen? The images of my client don’t work when scaled too much unfortunately. Thanks in advance
Hey typogretel! Yes, you can easily use the nectar slider or image gallery in the main container and not fullscreen on any page

Hey maurinoloureiro, you’re confined to any specific dimensions for Slider or Background images – it all depends on how tall you have each section set to be. However for any fullwidth section I’d recommend using images at least 1800px wide to ensure they will remain crisp on large displays. Some images that require minimum dimensions are the portfolio featured images if using the masonry layout – the sizes are documented in the user guide

I have some questions:
- Is there a way to add a paralax photo in the middle of a page? Now a paralax needs to be a top level element.
- After updating the theme today, some blog excerpts have disappeared, when i revert back to an older versiom, then the blog excerpts reappear. Check this link to see what I mean: http://bit.ly/1jq1grB
- Where to translate “search” in the sidebar? I have edited the PO files but it doesnt have any effect.

1. Only the Nectar Slider parallax effect must be used at the top of a page – you’re free to parallax any BG image you want on a row anywhere in the pages. Simply check the option for “parallax background” on your row: http://i.imgur.com/Q5ZIU3b.jpg
2. Are you using the auto excerpt option or manually setting read more tags?
3. I actually need to add that into the .po – thanks for pointing this out. For now you can easily edit it in the searchform.php in the root of the theme.

is there any way that you can use a “fade” function instead of the “swipe” fucntion from right to left on the nectar slider?

love the theme, however i was wondering if it is possible to have a semi-transparent menu/navigation/header as with full transparency sometime the writing becomes invisible…incidentally can you change the menu font color???? thanks so much

Hi, is it possible to have a full page background for the home page that stay’s still, while 3 sliders that have objects with transparent backgrounds come sliding in and out? It would require css mods to remove the BG on all slides and set it just for the overall slider element so it doesn’t move while the slides do.
Hi, great theme. Getting the site setup now. I have two problems, though and would appreciate some help. 1. When I change the css under settings-general then it sticks to whatever I changed it to. Even if I delete all the css in that box it keeps the first change to every position e.g if I change the background to black it will stay that way even if I delete the custom css. Changed mobile menu background and font colours and they stayed that way. 2. On one page I have three columns with each column boxed. One column has the bottom missing and only shows when hovered over using the animation. Thanks for any help with these problems.The site is www.aktivatum.de Joe

1. There’s nothing keeping the entered rules in place other than the fact they exist in the box – have you ensured it’s not a caching issue with a plugin or service you have active?
2. Try adding a few pixels of bottom padding on your row

I am liking your theme so far. Very easy child theme, easy to create custom pages without having to wrestle with a convoluted framework.
One change I would strongly suggest is to make your header tags in em instead of px. Especially since you allow us to change the body px in the theme dashboard.
But other than that, so far so good.

are you trying to simply find the option in the recent post element to enable/disable the controls or are you looking for the the file where the HTML gets generated? If you’re looking for the file – it’s shortcode-processing.php which is located in the nectar/tinymce directory

Hi there,
Sigh – getting frustrated with creating a gallery in a grid. Ive attempted to follow your instructions to create a basic WP gallery by going out of visual composer and just use the add media to create a 2 row x 6 column box gallery grid. My pics are nearly 500px wide and tall and yet when I view them they are blurry like they were too low rez.
Also, id rather use the gallery shortcode if possible but for some reason none of the setting seem to behave in a way I think they should. 1) If I create an 8 image grid style gallery with 4 columns and dont add anything to the image size (leave for thumbnail) then I get a small set of boxes that have massive space to the right. The reason for that becomes clear when I rollover the image to find that a ‘green’ overlay pops up spanning what appears to be a landscape size so my square image is covered and so is a huge area to the right of it. If I turn on the fullwidth and at the zoom gallery style on hover – I get large boxes indeed but again they are all out of focus but when I click on the image to view in popup it appears fine and ironically bigger than those in the blurry grid.
I need instructions how to make this and its other settings to work please. I cant find instructions or examples in any of your video’s and there are no written instructions.

Hey Andy,
If you’re able to provide images around 500px wide that will work fine with the VC image gallery element – you’d only need to use the default WP gallery when you are using small images which wouldn’t work in the image gallery. If you are entering the image size to match your supplied sizes (500 x your-height) there should not be excess space on the right. If you can supply me a URL it would be easier to troubleshoot or if you want me to log in and create an example for you I’d be happy to

I can’t seem to find the button option in the visual composer, but only as part of nectar short codes when i create and edit a text block, is there any way you would create a dedicated button inside the visual composer for creating a button?

The only way to add that is through a shortcode – opted to not create a button VC element since it’s such a small element and really fits better in a shortcode.

I’ve noted the additional button style for the wishlist and it will most likely make it into the next feature release. There is actually the option to do a transparent with border in black right now by the way – simply use the “Color Override” option added in 4.0

Quick question, go here: http://richpearson.co.uk/ I have set me header to custom colours (blue background, yellow links) but the transparent header isn’t working? However changing the colour scheme to light or dark makes the header become transparent, am I doing something wrong? I would like the header to be transparent and then on scroll change colour to blue etc…
