1. Why is it that the background I have set for column 1 (my image) takes the size of the coloumn next to it? I wanted it to be aligned with background in the row. And in full size.
2. I tried to start with to insert a quote. But it only aligned to top of the row and I could not get it to center, like I can do with the basic textboxed used now.

Remove the padding you have set on the row and choose a percent padding for your columns (such as 5%). Please check out my tutorial on creating full width content columns for a walk through

Hello, interested in this theme.
I’d like to replicate the demo with the video header where the video is full screen and the top nav bar transparent.
What are the requirements in terms of video quality? I understand that I need to make available a range of video formats but the video I’m intending on buying is.MOV 720p. Will that work, can I purchase this video and convert it to mp4, ogg and webm?
I’d also like to avoid black horizontal bars in the video (and thus in the header).
Some guidance would be greatly appreciated before I buy the theme and the video.

Yes, you can indeed purchase one video format whether it’s MOV or MP4 and then convert to webm/mp4 for the slider or row BG. Since you’re already looking at a 720p video there won’t be any issue with black lines as the only requirement for using a video BG in the theme is that it must be in a 16:9 aspect ratio, which yours is

Hey mr_henry, there shouldn’t be issues using these sliders – you just will probably have to add them through a template file if you need them to display full width
I have made a custom row and would like to add the arrow down, like the one you have on the Nectar slider (the animated one) But it is not to find in the short-codes… can you help?
Unfortunately this isn’t available for use outside of the slider yet – but since it’s a brand new feature, it will still most likely be extended

Or have the slider so it fades in and out instead of sliding.

1. Add more styles in your typography (more detailed instead of sharing typographies).

Ive just added a blog entry. Its the first one ive created using the Visual Composer and not just the standard classic editor. It works ok except for when I go to my home page (www.andypeck.co.uk) and see that no excerpt appears in the ‘latest posts’ shortcode. The others are fine but not this.
Btw…. Ive replied to your email on the ‘two col list’ issue so perhaps you could look at this issue at the same time.

1. When using VC for a post you’ll have to set the excerpt using the “excerpt” field in your post – you can make that visible by clicking the screen options tab in the top right hand corner of your screen when editing the post.
2. I’ve set up an example of columns that don’t stack on mobile – I simply addded a class of “non-stacking-columns” to the column and then added the related css in your custom css box in the options panel

I have a toggle that is sliding behind a full width masonry blog. The toggle works fine when set to ‘in container’.
The element order for the page is:
<header> <row: full width : toggle> <row: in container: blog full width masonry> <footer>

Hey Jack, the swipe will be enabled when you don’t have “Open prettyPhoto” on click active – same goes for the loop. (These options would break the lightbox click functionality if they were active with it)

Can you show me a page where it’s not working? I found this page on your site where you have a header http://kommunekommunikation.dk/kommunekom-blog/ and it seems the only property not overwriting the typography options is the font size. In your custom rule try to use !important for that as well:

I have a strange issue where none of the font awesome icons show up.

This is only when previewing them though, the font awesome icons display fine if I add them to a page it is just previewing them. this occurred when I updated to 4.0 (I am currently on 4.0.3).
The website is being developed locally so I cant give you access via a link sorry.
Hmm, it’s hard to say without being able to inspect the code – but if you open your browser console do you see any 404’s or errors?
If you can’t find anything anyway you could work around that until it’s time for the staging server so I could look?

There’s no way to update in the dashboard by default, however uploading the theme again will not delete any of your settings/data if that’s what you were worried about. The correct way to update is to download a fresh copy from ThemeForest, delete the current version you have on your server and upload the new. I recommend using FTP, but you can use the WP dashboard if you prefer.

I am trying to fix the home page header font size (ticker H1). I see that it is inline and I can’t find where to change the size. If you look at my home page you can see why I need to fix it. If the headline is too long then it creates a weird return. I need to make the longer headline work.

Issues with the Nectar Slider: - It doesn’t automatically scroll on some pages, but does when viewed on mobile devices. -Bullet navigation doesn’t appear on some sliders.
All options are checked to ‘On’. Is there a minimum height (e.g. 650) to get this to work?
-Where can I properly crop the image to work with the dimensions of the Nectar slider? Do I have to do that in WP – Media or can I do it through the Nectar Slider itself.

I think the problem is the site is just really slow. I edited a dummy data page for my Home Page and it contains Recent Work. When I click on All Work, it takes me to my Home Page (redundant since you’re already there). How can I change this? I can’t find the text for it. Thanks.
Hey again – when you edit the recent work element through Visual Composer you’ll actually see a field for “Page Link URL” that will allow you define where the link leads
Ok, I did that but it still takes me to my homepage instead of the link that I supplied. Recent Posts link does not take me to my blog page either. It takes me to mywebsitename.com/blog but that’s not my blog’s address and I can’t find the option to change where the link goes.
Please allow me to log in so I can take a look at the recent posts URL since there’s no known issue with – as for the recent posts, that will automatically go to the page you’ve set as your posts page in Settings > Reading or default to blog. If you are not setting your posts page then you’ll have to disable the labels in the element and add your own link in above going to your custom location

I think the root of the problem is the menu that I edited from the dummy data. However in Settings>Reading the Posts are set to Blog, and when I write a Posts it goes to the Blog page. But when I select Recent Posts in the Visual Composer Element, it goes to a page that is not set as my post page called _.com/blog
