1. Right now this would take some custom development but this is already a feature on the wishlist

2. For any custom fonts you’ll need to include them using standard font face rules – check out this tutorial in regards: http://zoerooney.com/blog/tutorials/installing-web-fonts-start-to-finish/

3. The text sizes scales down proportional to the rest of the slider to ensure no clipping on the image. This is also the same method of scaling as other premium sliders like Slider Rev/LayerSlider – if you want to change it you just need to look for these rules in the mobile viewport in the responsive.css stylesheet located in the css folder.

You should be able to simply set the text alignment to center on the row holding your image to achieve this. If that doesn’t work, add this into the custom css box in your Salient options panel:

.center img.img-with-animation {
    display: block!important;
}

The only way to make an actual masonry gallery is through the portfolio and setting the portfolio element to lightbox only, which offers the sizes shown on the demo here: http://themenectar.com/demo/salient/portfolio-fullwidth-masonry/ The sizes to choose from are Regular, Wide, Tall, Wide & Tall – if you opt to not use those sizes (which are documented in the user guide) you can supply a custom thumbnail for each item instead of a featured image – no cropping will occur in that use case

Since there’s no built in way to add a class to the project thumb columns – you would only have your choice of selecting them by the category they’re assigned or coloring them all together with one color

The templates are should effect the output of the page as they say – e.g. the portfolio template will add a portfolio to your page, the sidebar layout will add a sidebar to your page. If they’re not applying to your pages, I’ll probably need to log into your setup to take a look at what’s going on

I ended up using “widget on pages” which did exactly what I wanted. (I just didnt know then there was a plug in for it, sorry)

(and it was working 100% as intended)

i updated the theme and now it’s ok, well done.

However i’ve a question about column:

i’ve created a full width row with background image and a 1/2 column with opacity, now i’d like to set a height for that. I can set the height for the row but the column in opacity has it’s own. How can i set the column height to 100% to follow the full width section height?

I used codestyling-localization plug in. It edit mo. po files so the string ‘All’ didn’t tranlated unless I changed it in shortcode-processing.php. Also I cant cahnge the slug of portfolio categories because it deasapear. I left it with the orginals names from the demo of the template. Why?

2. If disable the lightbox (which will need to be done by removing a line in the init.js file) – there’s no functionality to have the image replace the main image on click, that would require custom development or the use of a plugin. By default if you disable the lightbox all that will happen when you click an image is it will open up in a new page (like a standard image link)

2. As of now there’s no way to use full width rows on the main blog overview page – but support for this may be coming soon

Thanks for always getting back so quick! Amazing theme and support I’m not sure why the custom css doesn’t work if I try to put it on the actual page (Pages > Blog > CSS). It worked when I put it in the overall css editor (Appearance > Edit CSS)

Thanks for the reply. I took a screenshot and the dimensions were 1024×729 on the smaller resolution screen (Cropped the start menu).

On the 2550×1440 monitor, the absolute smallest I could get a window without the mobile menu was around 1110 Pixels.

Is there something wrong? Or is there some code where I bring it to 900 pixels?

or is there indeed a way it only shows up on mobile devices?

All of the css media queries and JS logic is set to target 1000px and lower which is how the full menu displays on an iPad landscape – but if you want to try and lower it further to help in your case, search for all instances of 1000 inside of responsive.css (located in the css folder) and do the same inside of the init.js file (located in the js folder)

Since contact form 7 is not a part of Salient itself – I was suggesting that you rule out the fact that it’s a theme problem by changing to say twenty fourteen for a minute to test. As far as setting up the form correctly – there’s not too much you have to do. As long as you have the correct email address in the mail meta box and correct fields in like this: http://i.imgur.com/F7G04Eb.jpg it should work assuming your server isn’t blocking outgoing mail.
