Thanks for the feedback again. We noted it the last time as well.

Visual composer isn’t the top priority at the moment . Star reviews is one of higher priority features. We also understand your concern about visitors user reviews – it’s a rare feature as magazines reviews are mostly editor’s opinion – but it’s in our todo list as well. Star based visitor rating is a higher priority feature.

Front-end login registration is available when bbPress is active. There are many more plugins that allow you to create custom registration forms which will work flawlessly with the theme.

Feedburner subscribe is already available as seen on the footer widget and WP-User Frontend plugin can allow front-end submission by users.

1. it will be different based on area and the device being used. The top area ad can be 728×90 or 468×80. Making the assumption you’re using Google Adsense Responsive Ad units, the 728×90 will become 468×80 on smartphones. They will be sized based on the device and ad network you’re using. If you’re running your own image ads using a banner rotator plugin, they will be re-sized like in demo.

2. The ad widgets by themselves are responsive, but any external network’s ads will depend on the network responsive support and dimensions. We have only tested it with Adsense’s Responsive Ad units and that works – even with Adsense image ads. For DFP, you will have to follow the official guidelines to get the correct ad code.

3. The widgets (sidebar) area ads are responsive by default (due to their width)?

4. What sizes can the widget area ads have?

5. So your theme is compatible with DoubleClick for Publishers codes, without other needed plugins? I understand that responsiveness depends on the DFP code, I just want to know if the basic non-responsive DFP code is compatible with the ads area from your theme

3. Yes, they are. But again, if the javascript code of the ad network isn’t responsive, it cannot automatically make it responsive (Adsense Responsive Unit or DFP responsive will work, for example). For local image ads, it will work fine out of the box though.

4. 300×250 is the standard ad size in that area on all devices.

5. Yes. But DFP ads won’t be responsive unless the responsive code is used.

Sorry to hear the trouble you had to go through so far. Do you wish to use it like an HTML template? You can do that but you will have to use same markup as the WordPress theme on your own (obviously). Hence, we would not recommend using the theme for that purpose unless you can code HTML. It’s best to use it as a WordPress theme so that no coding will be required.

Hopefully, the purchase will go through this time.

Sorry to hear you’re experiencing issues on your second site. However, we haven’t come across this issue from any user yet. Please try disabling all plugins except Bunyad plugins and running the Regenerate Thumbnails plugin as mentioned in the docs.

While bbPress has our styling integration, BuddyPress will use its own styling – as in we didn’t implement it yet. It does fit in with the theme and can be used, however, we still cannot it as our official refined implementation.

Star rating on reviews will be included in one of the releases this month. However, visual composer integration doesn’t seem to have much demand so far – but we are noting all the suggestions offered. We’ll definitely consider it for a future release as demand increases.

Unfortunately, that shortcode is a hybrid – it’s actually a pagebuilder block that can also be used in sidebar widgets but not within normal pages.

Slider can only be activated on pages so you have to first create a home-page. However, using a Blog / Listing block with pagination will have the same effect as the default archive page you normally see on the home-page.

We have continuously tested the performance and memory usage of the theme and it’s well below almost any theme on ThemeForest – it’s one of the few light-weight themes here. You can do the comparison yourself. Of course that relies on a fair comparison – you cannot compare the homepage with a totally plain blogging theme – the homepage will be heavier than that as there are many dynamic blocks.

Also, make sure you’re checking the RAM usage the right way. It’s a common issue on Linux VPS. Finally, if it’s a high traffic site, you should install a caching plugin like W3 Total Cache.

Additionally, on your site, some of the images are huge – they were probably uploaded before SmartMag was activated. Please follow this step of the documentation:

“If you have existing content and featured images, you will have to install Regenerate Thumbnails plugin and run it from Tools > Regen. Thumbnails.”

2. The related posts are only the 3 posts at the bottom. What you’re seeing in the sidebar is fully configurable based on widgets.

3. Sorry, the featured slider can only be used at top.

4. The carousel format of that block won’t really look good in the sidebar but the slider format will – as shown in the demo sidebar.

5. You can request for a placement change.

6. Yes, any color can be chosen using the color picker.

7. No. But you can use external plugin based sliders.

8. Related posts are automatic based on the category.

9. The trending news ticker only works in the top bar above header.

10. Sure. We can add in a future release. Meanwhile, we can suggest you how to do it now.

11. Assuming you were referring to a “social counter” for sidebar, there’s a plugin that is made compatible and the guidelines are available at the forums.
