Hello, anyway to have a video appear in the slider when adding the embed code to a video post? I always get a blank screen? Willthe video be playable in the slider?

Sorry but that’s not a feature in the default slider. As you can see in the demo, the videos use static images. This keeps the home-page lightweight. You can use a 3rd party slider to add this feature.

That’s going to be an issue as the layout of other sliders will be different. We do have plans of adding an optional video embed support in the default slider in the future – unfortunately, it’s not near future. If you can live with the changed looks, you can checkout Revolution Slider, and Royal Slider.

If you use visual composer, you will have to be comfortable shortcodes. Ideally, you should use our page builder as that’s the one that’s integrated and doesn’t require using shortcodes.
You can use the Rev Slider anywhere in content area or pagebuilder using their shortcode by default. But if you want to use it in place of current slider, there’s this small edit on our forums.

If you know how to use WordPress, you will be able to use our detailed documentation to setup the theme. If not, it’s recommended to learn general WordPress usage first. You could import the sample content, but you may still find some tasks difficult if you haven’t used WordPress at all yet.

The second blog had those images before SmartMag was activated. If you have existing content and featured images, you will have to install Regenerate Thumbnails plugin and run it from Tools > Regen. Thumbnails.

My friend just bought this theme and is full of problems.
The slider never works on home page, it only works on categories which are selected to show in slider.

Hi, I have a weird bug on my site : pagination does not work for archives pages. When I click on any page link button (ie : mysite.com/page/2/), it always redirects on my homepage mysite.com. The issue is only on articles archives pages, pagination works fine on categories and tags pages for instance. Any help ?

One of our buyers had a similar issue and it was because of All-In-One-SEO plugin. We reset the plugin settings and it worked there.

Hi, many thanks for such a quick answer! I saw this topic on the forum, unfortunately I tried disabling the plugin AIO but it did not change anything, same issue. Anyway I disabled ALL plugins and it worked. Now I have to find which plugin is causing this issue, by disabling them one by one. I’ll put the answer here if it may help.
Love the theme. I purchased it. I do have a few questions:
1) Is it possible to have more than 5 images in the main (or large) slider on the homepage? I don’t need unlimited slides (though the option would be great LOL!). However, I would like to have something like a Top 10 and be able to scroll from 10 down to 1.
2) As for the three smaller images to the right of the large slider,
a) Is it possible to split the slot that has the Beautiful City With Very Friendly pic and have that slot have two pictures like xOS7 Takes a Shot on Your Memories & Krammy Awards Come to an Abrupt Halt?
b) Can the two smaller pictures (xOS7 Takes a Shot on Your Memories & Krammy Awards Come to an Abrupt Halt) have the category label (in the upper left) like the main slider and the Beautiful City With Very Friendly Neighborhood pictures?

1. Yes. You can use any one of the category listing styles – you can do this inside pagebuilder.
2. You can make it top or bottom. But changing the size won’t be possibly by default. You can, however, get in touch with support to get a small css edit to achieve this, at our forums.

It is compatible with IE8 and IE9 in all our tests. One thing to look into is that if it’s a domain that had a site previously, IE could have went into compatibility mode and have stayed in that. Please make sure it’s not in “compatibility mode”.
