Question: What is the purpose of the “Trending” ticker at the top? What is it meant to do?

It’s a news ticker to show latest posts. “Trending Ticker” is a label you can set to anything from Theme Settings.

New Feature: Prevent duplicate articles in home-page blocks. How this Feature works? Please explain.

For sites that have a lot of content that is shared between multiple categories, if you setup the home-page like the demo, you can have the same post appearing in different blocks (because of newness and because this article is posted in multiple categories). This usually happens on news site with heavy content.
It’s also useful when you use the “latest posts” slider but don’t want these same slider posts to appear below in a block due to newness of the post.

Hi. Just purchased the theme. Need to use it in an Arabic language website, saw that your theme supports RTL languages.
However after purchase I’m not sure how this is implemented. Normally a theme would have some controls to activate RTL on the site.
I do not want to change the entire wordpress installation to Arabic, just the theme should be optimised for Arabic display i.e. RTL reading.
Is there something I’ve missed perhaps.

It’s a WordPress best practice to use automatic RTL detection so that’s the way to activate RTL. In your unique case, unfortunately, you sill have to change your WordPress language to Arabic language code as explained documentation. However, there’s a way to keep admin area in English while using that method. Please get in touch with support at our Support Forums by creating a topic.

How do you offset blocks on the homepage?

Since v2.1, when you edit a block in page-builder, there’s an option to add offset for the block. If you recently upgraded, please make sure you follow the update instructions.

The Blog/Listing Widget Block does not have the option to offset. However Highlight and News do.

For some reason my custom background upload button has stopped working? The existing backgrounds are still and I can also add a general background but I can’t add to any new posts or pages. Any ideas on this?

Hey Sean,
For posts and pages, the Custom Background is only available in “boxed” mode. It won’t look good in full-width mode, hence it’s disabled.

Hi. Great looking theme.
Before purchasing I just wanted to check on the mega menu. Is this integrated or does the mega menu need customisation to fit with the rest of the theme?
Also, there isn’t a whole lot of social media shown on the demo. Does the theme work well with, say, Share Button by Addtoany?

Great to know you like the theme. The mega-menu is integrated of course and works using the default way of creating the menu in WordPress. There are social media buttons on post pages and top-bar above header and other social plugins can be used.

I would like to purchase this template, but I do have 2 issues
1.) I’ve tried to view the Live Preview on my Android tablet with Firefox. I couldn’t swipe the images on the slider and also galleries in the Home Page, like what I can do with Chrome or Android’s browser itself. Besides, the list of videos in Latest Videos don’t display as well.
2.) Do you have a Gallery album layout. That is a very important component in my site. It will be awesome if you can have that.
Other than these 2 issues, I love you template very much! It’s somehow complete!

1. Haven’t been able to re-create this issue. Please mention your Android version, Tablet name/model, and Mobile Firefox version.
2. Not sure what type of gallery album layout you’re hoping for, but the WordPress default ‘gallery’ can be added inside post content to create a thumbnail gallery. Or you can use NextGen Gallery plugin.

As for Gallery, I meant listing in a Gallery format instead of the as a layout in a post, which I see that this template has it. But ya, thanks for the link to NexGen. I guess I can get what I want with it.

As mention in the setup part of documentation, if you had uploaded these images before SmartMag was activated, you will need to re-generate theme. If you have existing content and featured images, you will have to install Regenerate Thumbnails plugin and run it from Tools > Regen. Thumbnails.

Another question for you: This is first time i use a professional theme. Other time i needed to install many plug-in for make blog functional (for SEO, social, spam, banners & more).

Greetings, just purchased the theme and began translating the .po file, I saved it as es_ES and set the language in the config file, but the translation is not working, any advice?
I’m using a child theme, also put the languages folder and the files in there, but no changes. WP installation is also in Spanish.
