When using Install Sample Data, images are not imported. WordPress will use default images which look like “folder”. You just need to upload featured images/update your post again.

1. In order to disable the headline, go to Appearance > Theme Options > Headline Section > Show Headline

2. If user want to submit a video through the form, the message will be sent to email configured in Contact Form 7 > Suggest Video.

No, you can’t. The solution in the link you provided is a tricky one that uses an image to hide the video, then after clicking on the image, the video player appears.

If you own the videos, you can change video thumbnails by editing the videos in YouTube (it allows you to change video thumbnail using custom image). If you do not own the videos, you can’t.

1. WordPress uses php for mail by default. The default sender name is “WordPress” and the default sender email address is wordpress@yoursite.com . If you want to modify it, you could follow this article http://www.artishock.net/wordpress/how-to-change-wordpress-default-email-from-name-and-from-address/ or use a SMTP plugin.

2. We do not support Woocommerce at the moment. Probably you will experience some layout issues if using woocommerce now. Sorry but we do not have plan to support WooCommerce yet.

Profile links are provided by buddypress and they are only used in buddypress’s component. If you don’t want to use buddypress, you should deactivate it. Otherwise, if you want to redirect buddypress’s profile to author page, you need to modify theme’s code or add some functions to do that

Yes, it’s possible. Go to Settings > Reading > Front Page displays “Your Latest Posts”.

Then go to Theme Options > Front Page > Header Style > Sidebar. Leave the Main Top sidebar empty, it will remove the slider.
