I need some help with two issues, I’ve downloaded and install the demo files, it’s working great I need to know where do I edit the pages, because on the admin I do not find the home (page) also I do not need the shop but is not on the menu (appearance/menu) have home, about us, faqs, etc, but they are not on the admin/pages (I would like to edit those pages and that they would appear on my site instead of home, sliders, pages,portfolio, etc. Thank you in advance, Filipe

All pages are added, edited or deleted in the “Pages” section of your admin. Look in the left sidebar for “Pages”
If you need to edit the menu items, go to “Appearance > Menus” in your admin and you can add or remove menu items there.

Great theme, actually awesome theme. I am having some real trouble though that I cannot fix and need help fast (if possible). I have made custom contact forms but they do not work. I have tried everything, even different plugins, nothing works, please help. This is not online either, I had to pull it down because of this reason, I am developing locally. Any suggestions.

Thanks for the comments This is a bit difficult one since the forms were not made with our built in form (contact template) or with Contact Form 7. If you signup and post on our forum, we can take a look to see what is going on, but if they are custom forms then it may be best to contact the plugin author of the plugin you are using to see what is going on. Maybe there is a conflict somewhere.

Thanks for the reply. I have tried Contact Form 7, ARforms, Gravity Forms, etc, spent a mint on plugins and none are working. The only way I can get any email to work is to instal WP STMP and setup with Gmail. This is not what I expected. My site is not live as the forms do not work, my client will not allow this and is loosing patients very quickly. Could this be an Avada issue?
Built in contact form does not work either.

All of that you listed should work without issue as it does for our other users, most likely if its not your host is blocking it in some way. For example, load the default WP theme and use Contact Form 7, most likely it will not work and that shows it is on your server side. I’d contact them and explain the issue, its probably a quick adjustment for them.
We can also check it out in more detail on our forum for you, but I’m pretty certain it is server side now with that new information.

Thanks for the reply. I think it may be my local server (MAMP) not having a mail server built in but the site was live temp before I realized the forms where not working and had to pull it down. I will investigate further. I am willing to pay for this service if I could get someone to upload my site and get the forms working correctly, is this a service you offer? Thx.
Hmm yeah that could be it. If you upload your site to live server, the forms should not have an issue. If they do, post on our forum and we can take a look and see why

Are you referring to the Image Alt Text? that will only show if hte image does not load for some reason, although you will be able to view it in the source code. But right now thre is not a “description” field for image frame http://theme-fusion.com/knowledgebase/avada-shortcode-list/#frames

Hi,
I got a pre-sales question regarding the site performance. After viewing source code of your demo, I notice that some scripts such as isotope are calling in the middle of the content which is before the isotope plugin has been loaded(I can see the isotope has been loaded in the bottom of your page).
But I never receive any error in the console. So my question is that, does this theme load this plugin twice in the top as well as in the bottom which is redundant and make site load slower or did I miss anything?

Nope nothing is loaded twice We load scripts at the end of body tag to improve performance which is the best place for them. We also load main.js there where all our menu, sticky etc. functionality is. That just means that the dom can be rendered before the js file is fully loaded.

Thanks for your reply but if I’m not wrong the js files must be loaded in order but some javascript codes are placed in the middle of your page that required plugins to run but as what you’ve stated the main.js whose contains those plugins is loaded at the end , so how can it does not have any error in the console?

There is no error because there is no error to report. The scripts are not loaded twice, they are loaded on an event. i.e: when isotope is actually ready.

Are you referring to the tagline you insert in the wp settings? That will not show up at this time as we use a custom logo field instead. Its recommended that you add it to your logo file. Sometime in the future we will allow the text title and tagline to show instead of the logo.

I have installed Avada. 3.4.5 on fresh wp installation, cannot understand why the admin panel is not working, I have used avada before this on several other hostings and projects but this time I cant find anything to define the reason.

Are you up to date using Avada 3.4.3 and Fusion Core 1.3.3? Is this the same server you used it on before? I would try a reinstall to see if maybe there is a missing file or corrupt file.

Good afternoon, I have started to create some pages using localhost mode via xampp and noticed that some of the features do not show correctly in offline mode. Am I correct in thinking that some of these features can only be visually seen when online, for example “search” icon and “return to top” icon shown at top and bottom of pages? Regards

Hmmm no all features will show the same offline as online. Do you have those options checked to show in theme options? As long as they are enabled they should show.

I just recently installed the theme after updating tothe latest version of wordpress but now the Fusion Core Shortcode editor is not there
I was not given the notification to activate the shortcode editor, sliders etc. and when I check in installed plugins it is not there
How can this be resolved??

Yes if using WP3.9 or higher, you need to use Avada v3.43 and Fusion Core 1.3.3. Make sure you are using those versions. If the theme was updated, then the plugin message should be there, or at least in the install plugin area. Maybe it is due to cache. Clear it out and see.
If you do not see it, you can install it via FTP. Its in the 3.4.3 theme folder under avada > framework > plugins.

Most likely those are new icons with Font Awesome v4, the current theme only contains the 3.1 version. Our next release coming in about a week will contain Font Aweomse v4.

Hello,
is it possible with Avada to do this: when adding a “featured image” to a post, it would be displayed in a gallery filterable by post categories. I know I could do this using portfolios, but I would have to do twice the job: to create the post, then the portfolio.

The portfolio is the only one that can do that at this time, the blog is setup differently. We’ve discussed adding teh ability to the blog also but have not had request for it yet. Maybe sometime in the future though
