This theme is very complicated to use. Even for someone that has experience with WP themes, Nouveau lacks ease-of-use capabilities. Video tutorials are definitely needed. Trying to figure out how to set up pages to suit tastes is like poking around in the dark. The documentation seems like someone rushed through it just to finish it so they could post the theme for sale quickly. It will take me forever to match the quality demo Nouveau site. I don’t like this theme very much now that I have bought it. Should have been priced lower.

Thank you for your feedback. We tried to locate any ticket or any concrete problem your reported to us, but we couldn’t.
We understand that Nouveau requires effort to be put into it in order to understand all it’s possibilities and learn them, that’s why we have dedicated support helping with any issue. We decided to build very powerful theme, that’s why it has so many options. I understand that someone can look for simple theme, but I think it’s not fair to rate theme with 1 start just because it was complicated to learn and work with, no matter that we provide very professional support which handles issues much beyond normal support with the themes.
When someone rate theme with 1 start, it means that theme is really bad, but if theme is good and it’s complicated for you, you shouldn’t affect our rating without trying to ask us for help and even if you are not happy with it after that, you have to admit that theme doesn’t deserve 1 star rating. I think it’s unprofessional and unfair to mark theme as it’s completely unusable, with bad features and doesn’t work.

1. That is widget in widget area placed in Appearance > Widgets named “WooCommerce Dropdown Widget Area”
2. You can try to change label “Free” with “Contact for Download” with Codestyling Localization plugin.

Having an issue with the dummy data import. I selected the import option but it appears to be stuck on 40%. Please advise.
Note: I have worked with a number of Qode WP themes and the import dummy data never takes this long. It has now been on 40% for about 2hrs with no movement (on the 2nd attempt) – I tried to restart the process and noticed that there appears to be most of the media files added to the library but none of the dummy pages. I cleared out all of the files that were added and restarted the process and again it stops at 40% after 2hrs with no movement. Please advise if there are other options.

This theme is really Great! I’ve only got a minor problem, I’ve recently renewed my website with your theme. It occured to me that since the website is renewed, the “featured” thumbnail that appears on my bloglovin blog account when you post a new article looks very blurry.. see here: http://www.bloglovin.com/blog/11592217 Before I used this theme, the thumbnails were sharp on bloglovin, but now it’s blurry. I hope you can come up with a solution,

Your ‘blurry’ images are too small for container and it is stretched to fit that container. For example, the first image in the list is blurry and its size is 150×150px. Image next to it is 320×320px and that why it is not blurry. Container that holds the image is 265×265px.

Having an issue with your Google maps module and scrolling though.
We’re using a map in full width and when you scroll down to that portion of the page the scroll button zooms in/out on the map instead of scrolling past the map and leaving the zoom the same.
We can disable it by putting the actual map html/js into a raw html block instead of using the embed code BUT this breaks the page loading for other pages.
Is there something we can do in one of the JS files to turn off scrolling? Or a way to use our own map html/JS that won’t break the rest of the site?

This works for the contact page map but we are using the google map layout builder module on other pages (we can’t use the contact map because our map is custom and displays 5,000 locations).
Is there a JS somewhere we can add the non-scrolling code to which will turn off map scrolling throughout the site?

If you are using Google Maps shortcode from Visual Composer, I think they didn’t add option for that, as it’s embedded via iframe, not using API.

Does the homepage slider (not the LayerSlider) in the demo have other transitions. For instance I need the full screen image to fade in and out not scroll. Is this possible?

Love the look of your theme! Very beautifully done. I just have a few questions to help me decide on purchasing it if you don’t mind.
1. On the bottom of gallery pages there is a “grid” icon that takes you back to the portfolio. Can the icon be placed at the top of the portfolio page as well? Can it be sticky and overlay the bottom of the page? I only ask because I found users tend to hate having to search for back buttons.
2. Does the subtitle of the projects under portfolio have to present? The ones that look like “Home > Berlin Design Week”
3. Can the social icons float somewhere else on the page and be sticky?

1. Unfortunately it is not possible. Back button is positioned at the bottom on the page. Maybe if you familiar with a html and css a little, you can customize our template to meet your needs.
2. No it doesn’t, you can’t turn it on/off for every portfolio.
3. If you mean on Portfolio with floating sidebar, then only that sidebar (on portfolio pages) is “sticky”. On other pages, there is no sticky sidebar. You can put it header, next to “shopping cart” icon or in top header on left/right side (turn on header top menu in demo toolbar to see it). Those are widgets area and you can put anything here.

1. Portfolio items are custom post type and there is no “related” option for them
2. That is “Separator” shortcode, you can add transparent separator between two items. Also, on every Row, you can put top and bottom padding if you edit it.

I have a problem with the footer widgets. I want to show just one column in the top footer. I deleted your text and added mine. But now nothing shows up.
Also, and possibly related, in the admin section, on the widgets admin page, when I click to show the contents of the footer column widget, the box that opens breaks out of its widget box and hangs to the left.I can’t remember if it did that before but I guess not.
I wonder if you can work out what is going on?
Apart from that, beautifully designed theme and an incredible number of features.

Hi there, Once I asked why page so many js includes and you answered that all javascript is located inside single js file in order to reduce server calls.. Now I published the site and still have 24 separate calls to server for javascript files.. And what it more interesting that some of js files are really unnecessary on that page such as Google Maps API calls (I tested home page without any map on it) and comments reply javascript (comments are forbidden generally via settings). Is it possible somehow to optimize it? Thank you in advance.

Just spotted an error in your code (which I’ve fixed at my end) – in your short codes.php, there is a spelling mistake – htef – instead of href which is causing the qbutton tiny on the interactive banner not to link correctly.

Hello, how do I adjust the size of my slider images? When I select a smaller attachment size, “full, large, medium, etc…” the size of the image remains the same, however the resolution is reduced.
Here is a screenshot of my homepage. I would like the slider image to appear approximately 50% the size that it currently is, without compromising the resolution.

You will need to create images that has at least 1920×1080 size (to cover full hd screens). If images are smaller than screen, they will resize to fit full screen width and height.

Images in slider are not cropped or resized by WP, since you are using fullscreen slider it is natural that images are starched (via css) on whole screen size, so everyone could see whole image.
If you want to disable this, you can but this custom css in “custom css” field in Select Options:
