Hi – I recently updated to the newest version of Salient and two of my plugins (both have the latest versions and support the latest version of WP) have stopped functioning correctly.
In specific, they are “PopupPress” and “EventOn”.
I assume you don’t provide plugin support/issues, but I was curious if you could point me in the right direction to figure out why they worked previously in Salient but now they do not. I can provide admin access if necessary. Thanks!

I would guess version 4.0 but I’m not positive. With popuppress, the buttons no longer appear although the popups activated by plain text or image do work. With EventOn, the “single event” setting, i.e. the setting that when an event is clicked takes you to a page dedicated to that event, does not work. I get a 404 error when it worked previously. Hope that helps.

Can you verify that the 404 caused by EventOn isn’t fixable by simply resaving your permalinks in settings > permalinks?
The EventOn error was a permalinks setting and has been fixed! Thanks. In regards to popuppress, it appears to be functioning correctly via link and image, but whenever I try to initiate a popup via the nectar see-through button class (nectar-button large see-through), the button does not show. This worked previously and the update to Salient caused it to malfunction. See image below. The settings you see are exactly the way the were before when it was working.
Is the class I’m using wrong? Or has it been updated? Any thoughts would be helpful, thanks!

Hi there, have you any experience if the WooCommerce German Market Plug-in http://marketpress.com/product/woocommerce-german-market/?noredirect=en does work with your theme. since this is an essential plug in use with shops in German markets i would need to know this before buying. thanks in advace

Unfortunately I don’t have any experience with that plugin to confirm 100% compatibility – but since WooCommerce WPML translation pluigns work I wouldn’t expect it to cause issues.

thanks for the quick response. the function of the plug-in is less translating, but more adding and replacing Woocommerce checkout files. some themes nring their own WC template files – which may cause some conflicts with that plug-in… any suggestions how i should proceed?

Is there a way to insert normal hexa-code colour eg #ffffff instead of the accent colour? I have tried everything but it does not work…
Hey Peter, any element in the theme that only allows the select of accent colors would require custom css to accomplish that – namely giving the column the element sits in a class to target it specifically and change the color to a custom one. Or it could be done on a global scale in the main css box in the Salient options panel as well.

Hi, My theme lost the touch screen function or doesn’t work with fingers on touch screen devices. Other sites are working just fine, as in those are functional with fingers.
I have tried on cross browsers, the same issue persists.

Quick question: I’ve managed to hide the Nectar Love from the blog listing (icon below date text) using this code, but I still seeing the heart icon inside the actual blog post, just next to the social icons. How can I remove the Nectar love from inside the posts too?

I also have an added question on parallax backgrounds. I have one in the nectar slider at the top of my home page which is scaling fine. However, I added 2 more parallax backgrounds of the same “wallpaper” image further down the page and the scaling is off. Is there a way to resolve this? In regards to your new question – the parallax BG’s are actually set to be much taller and thus enlarge the image more since it will actually end up needing to be as tall as a desktop monitor when scrolling down (as it enters from the very bottom of the screen and reveals all the way to the top). So you’ll need to provide taller images for them than in the Nectar Slider (unless you were using the fullscreen option in that). I would recommend supplying images for parallax rows at a height of 800px – 1200px

I had a question I was hoping you could help me with. I just recently updated my staging site to 4.1.1 and am having a few bugs on the admin side of things. First is that the theme options are not formatted, just a giant list of text, no pages or sections.
The second thing I noticed was that the upload file buttons were not working for me. I have two theories as to why this is happening, but would really appreciate some help.
1. I changed the folder name of salient when I uploaded the theme so that I could have them both up concurrently and make the switch in wordpress
2. Simply because this is on the staging site
Any thoughts?

Hi, Can’t emphasize enough how much I love this theme!! So easy to use and beautiful! Q: I need to make a menu header that does not link to a page but has a few sub menu items. How do I do this? I do not want to make a new page. Sort of like category and sub category but the category as the menu without a direct link to another page.. thanks much!! h.

In the links tab of your appearance > menus section add ”#” without the quotes for the URL and the page won’t lead anywhere

Hi Nectar. A few more feature requests to add to the wishlist. Some of these are from the Bridge theme, but I think it would be awesome if Salient had them. 1) Expandable Section. I believe this is set on the row type. 2) Page Transitions. Would be great to have an animated loader icon as the pages load. 3) Unfold Footer area as you scroll down the page. 4) Side menu option for desktop and slide out menu for mobile. 4) Please make the css custom area re-sizable. Even better if it was near the top or on a separate tab. Thanks as always.

Question: We find the nectar slideshow moves too fast, transition wise (delay’s ok) can we slow it down?
I did see in the manual section 9.2 that we can add ‘caption-no-fade’ so would we add it to:

Or slow down the transitions, or fade available? Thanks!

1. If you want to slow that down you’d need to open the nectar-slider.js file and change this line:

2. There’s currently only the option for a fade transition on the Home Slider, but it will be coming to the Nectar Slider in future updates

After creating 3 Nectar Slides and adding them all to the same slider location. On my Home page, I use the Visual Composer to add my Nectar Slider.
The problem is, under Page Attributes, ANY of the HOME – “X” templates won’t show the slider. The only template that shows the slider is the default template. Why can’t I get the any of the HOME – “X” templates to show my slider? The user guide specifically states that I should select one of the HOME – “X” templates. Is there a setting to denote the slider location as the main home page slider?

The Home template actually adds an instance of the Home Slider at the top which would cover the Nectar Slider – if your goal is to use the Nectar Slider there’s no need for one of the premade home layouts since all of the elements seen in them are also available in Visual Composer anyway

2. It would be a lot easier to actually make the entire transparent menu have a color on hover rather than specific items.
3. Yes – you just need to check the box for “Allow collapsible all”in the Visual Composer edit settings for the toggle element
4. In the css box (located in the right top corner of Visual Composer) for the page you desire to do that, add this:
