Hey again – what IE version were you checking on and what OS were you using? I can currently see the video BG’s loading in with IE11/10/9 on Windows 7. Are you also unable to see video BG’s on the live demo?

Fantastic Theme. Client thinks it’s the Cat Pyjamas.
Am having trouble with the gallery previews on the home page. When the browser drops size the gallery images expand rather than scaling resposively. I copied the code straight out of the sample data.

In boxed mode the items will go into one column – but it seems yours are clipping a lot when they should. I just wanted to share a fix I found to enable PrettyPhoto to use the lightbox mode, when using the default gallery option in Wordpress. The only catch is it only works if “Link To: <media file> ” is selected in the dropdown. Hope it helps!!!

My home slider is (randomly) not showing up in Safari, but works fine in Firefox and on mobile. It was working just fine on Safari a couple of days ago, and I hadn’t even gone into the theme to change anything. Does anyone know why this is suddenly happening?
In addition, my photos & text that are located under the slider on the homepage are now also all messed up. Thanks in advance for any help!

I’m not seeing a slider added on your page in any browser – if you’re intending on using the Home Slider can you ensure a home template is selected in the page attributes box (located on the right hand side of your edit page screen).

Hey superledger, there’s no iconbox shortcode by default unfortunately though you could still place an icon shortcode inside of a column with text or other elements as seen throughout the demo.

I just inserted a video in a post (via a code), and when I want to see the video on the blog its height is blocked at 150… Even if I change the code of the video, it won’t change on the blog (even though it works for the width). Any idea how I can change the height? Thanks a lot!!

HI Necter, That was my fix for the problem I had to edit each page with that code. If you get a chance and take a look at the “services page” it doesnt have and therefore the text size is smaller then the size I chose in the backend. thanks for the help though I wont change it for a bit if you want to check it out again just in case its a bug… cheers.

Its probably totally my fault, so I apologise in advance. I have changed the typography size in the typography section to 20px this time in the salient control panel. If you check the services page again you will see that some typography hasnt changed size.

The only text I can see that’s different is the button text as that’s defined separately – the reason why it’s also a different size than the home page is because you have the buttons set to the large size there but medium on the services page.

Fonts don’t load from Google unless you have the custom typography option activated in your Salient options panel – if that’s off open sans will be loaded from the theme folder.

I’ve been having some issues with editing the Css. I’m adding styling for my newsletter box.
When I try and save via wp theme editor, it get a “404 not found”
When I add the css using a text editor and save via FTP, the new css appears jumbled… basically making the addition useless.

You can make a text or image link to a Google map, but having it only for mobile devices would require some custom css to hide the link in all other views

Hey Anatal! Did you write all the RTL css yourself? The latest version of Salient actually comes with an RTL stylesheet which should work with the carousel as well

The css that you’ve added which is breaking it is this:

– just change that to be more specific or delete it all together to restore the carousel

Hi, i just installed the wpml plugin and translated into german my website. I have troubles seeing german characters such as ü and ä. The font for this characters changes creating an unpleasant visual experience.
Is this problem related to the theme? I can’t seem to find solutions that work from generic wp-related forums!

Yes – the lovelo font doesn’t have ext. Latin support by a lot of other fonts offered through Google do and so does the default font (open sans)

Yes, you can either set up separate pages for each category manually and simply choose for just one category to display on it via the portfolio Visual Composer element or you could link directly to the taxonomy page by adding /project-type/your-category onto your URL such as http://themenectar.com/demo/salient-frostwave/project-type/music/

unfortunately there’s no way to dynamically link to a filter within an isotope display in the theme yet – but you can set the starting filter in your portfolio element to be something different than the default “all”

Hi – I recently updated to the newest version of Salient and two of my plugins (both have the latest versions and support the latest version of WP) have stopped functioning correctly.
In specific, they are “PopupPress” and “EventOn”.
I assume you don’t provide plugin support/issues, but I was curious if you could point me in the right direction to figure out why they worked previously in Salient but now they do not. I can provide admin access if necessary. Thanks!

I would guess version 4.0 but I’m not positive. With popuppress, the buttons no longer appear although the popups activated by plain text or image do work. With EventOn, the “single event” setting, i.e. the setting that when an event is clicked takes you to a page dedicated to that event, does not work. I get a 404 error when it worked previously. Hope that helps.

Can you verify that the 404 caused by EventOn isn’t fixable by simply resaving your permalinks in settings > permalinks?
The EventOn error was a permalinks setting and has been fixed! Thanks. In regards to popuppress, it appears to be functioning correctly via link and image, but whenever I try to initiate a popup via the nectar see-through button class (nectar-button large see-through), the button does not show. This worked previously and the update to Salient caused it to malfunction. See image below. The settings you see are exactly the way the were before when it was working.
Is the class I’m using wrong? Or has it been updated? Any thoughts would be helpful, thanks!
