In wordpress and buddypress you have to upload video to Youtube and then paste code inside post.

Ok, so I’ve pretty much nailed down every change I want with your instructions, except for when I hover over members (on the homepage) it still displays the starting fields (i.e. Age, height, sign of the zodiac, etc.).

Theme uses registration page of buddypress, not bbpress, check in documentation of theme:
2C. Go to Pages, create 2 pages called Activate and Register. Now go to Settings ? Buddypress ? Pages tab and assign created pages like on this screenshot:

How do I get the blog page to display excerpts instead of the full text of each post? I selected “Summary” under “Settings>Reading>For each article in a feed, show” but the blog page is still displaying full post text instead of an excerpt. Solution?
This seems a bit archaic for a modern theme – I know how to do this manually. I want it to be done automatically.
Also, how can I disable the “sharethis” plugin on the bottom of posts, and is there a GUI theme option for changing the link styles? The theme’s default method of making links appear as normal text is very confusing.
Is it possible to make the featured image link to the full sized version?

If you want to change design of theme then you have to hire a web design company. That’s why they exist.
