Hi there,
I’m trying to add a custom webfont to my page but it won’t show up on the Typography page in my admin settings.
I’ve followed the steps in a post above in adding the custom code to my .css and also uploaded the fonts to the same directory as the other ones.

When using custom fonts it’s not going to show up in your typography options tab by default – you’ll essentially just have to call it through css (fontface) in order to use it

I really loved the theme when I bought and and so far I think it could be really great. I ran into several issues with it though that I reached out to ThemeNectar to help with and never heard back. They are problems within the theme (such as the Call to Action not coming off certain pages, the portfolio categories not showing up and then losing over half of what should be on my portfolio page). I tried both their support forum and contacting them directly (which is hard to do since their website is just a logo and they never seem to go on their facebook page). If the customer support was actually something that existed I would totally give this 5 stars but it doesn’t. And without their help there is no way I can get the page to function properly, thus defeating the purpose.

Support is only provided on the support forums http://themenectar.ticksy.com/ and here (smaller requests). The Facebook page is only intended for public announcements and email support is not used unless needed (by request). I don’t see any tickets open past the usual turnaround time – can you please let me know the ticket ID which you have opened which apparently is not in our regular queue? For future reference if you have a ticket open that you feel might have been missed somehow, please just ask here for someone to take a look

There is no support ticket because when I tried to sign up for your support forum it wouldn’t let me create a login, with my email or with Facebook login. I had sent you a direct message through themeforest before I left the comment and never heard back that way either. The issues I am having are not small and there are several of them so if you could please help me handle them by email that would be very appreciated. I did everything I could to try and fix them on my own, and go through the channels that you requested but nothing happened. Browsing some of these comments it seems that I’m not the only one who had problems trying to post to the support forum. I would rather not post my email address here so if there is another way to get this going please let me know. Like I said, without the issues resolved the theme doesn’t work to a point where it’s pointless to use it.
Here are the problems I am having with the theme, and why I was hoping to get help on it: 1.) I had 5 or 6 Project Categories (in portfolio) set up, then decided I didn’t need one of them and should replace it with something else. I made a new category, which doesn’t show up on the site at all, and when I deleted the other one it wiped out 75% of the projects I had on the portfolio page. They still show up in the dashboard, but can’t be accessed on the site. 2. The Call to Action is not being removed from pages. I told it to come off of several, but it is still on every page of the website. 3. I can’t get a cart icon to show up in the store, despite having the setting turned on to do so. 4. When the nectar slider loads it flashes an image from a blog post before loading anything and it shouldn’t. 5. When I try to edit a slide in the Nectar Slider it deletes the slide, and instead posts a blank draft blog post.
Like I said, i tried your forum and it wouldn’t let me create an account, much less open a ticket so there is none. I need help though.

I would like to be able to fit more items across the page on this portfolio layout:
http://themenectar.com/demo/salient-frostwave/portfolio-fullwidth-masonry/Right now it fits a maximum of five items across and then goes down to 4, 3, 2 and 1 as the width of the screen shrinks.
Is it possible to have it show six or seven items across at the largest resolution (each item would be smaller, of course) and then go down from there? My client is browsing at around 1290px wide resolution so they are only seeing two items in the top row (the wide item and the regular item). They would like to be able to see 3-4 items at that resolution.
Let me know if this is possible and where I might start to make it happen (I can do PHP and JS, etc).

The portfolio columns are calculated in the responsive.css and init.js files – however, a simple solution would be to simply activate the constrain max columns to 4 option for your portfolio. This way on any desktop the column number will be 4 – thus satisfying your client and removing the need for you to mod the files

Unfortunately, I’m using the masonry layout which doesn’t allow the “constain max columns to 4” option. If you can offer any quick pointers on what needs to be changed init.js and responsive.css, that would be great.
In the latest update that option is now also supported with the masonry layout – an example can be seen on the ascend demo homepage

I want to have a slider of team members in fullwidth row (there are more 5members but will be more). I used team member element as in meta overlaid mode into the carousel element. I place the carousel element in “full with content” row. No padding or anything. I was able to css and get rid of the arrows, top and bottom gaps. However. Carousel shows images in these three columns (which I also find out that I can make 4 columns by editing init.js ) however I couldn’t find a way to get rid of the vertical space between images. I appreciate your help.

AH-ha! Quick question, is there a way to have the recent posts shortcode thing lock the aspect ration on the images? Reason is our site has different size featured images and when this thing spans across it looks like a staircase!
Ideally it would be awesome to match the video aspect as we have those too. I tried changing in functions.php the portfolio thumbs from 600,403 to 600,451 which would match the video aspect ratio but it doesn’t seem to hard crop them, after regenerating thumbs. Any ideas?

Hi, is it possible to add space to the left and right at the full width portfolio? That would say it is fullwidth within a container. To get an idea of what i mean it is like that on this page http://www.scotch-soda.com/, I know they arent using salient but just for the concept I wanted to show you!

A problem with boxed layout is that when i use fullwidth layout (to get the portfolio items to have no space between them i get the same effect as a non box layout. Is there a way to get a “boxed layout” without space between the tiles?

The most recent is 4.5.1 – You can update by downloading a fresh copy from ThemeForest, deleting the current version you have on your server and uploading the new. I recommend using FTP, but you can use the WP dashboard if you prefer. You won’t lose any of your content or theme settings so don’t worry about that if you were

I’m using this theme for my employer’s website and I’m having trouble using my own anchors within the nectar shortcodes (or vice-versa). I’d like to open a button (with image) link in a lightbox using fancybox plugin for now.
The code I’m testing it with produces a lightbox, and is as follows:<a class="fancybox-iframe" href="http://website.com">Lightbox</a>and I’ve attempted to include the nectar button:

But I get no lightbox when using the nectar button. Do you know of a solution to this? At some point we may purchase foobox for lightbox purposes but I’d essentially like to know how to use attributes and other general html alongside your shorctodes before we make any further purchases

All I did to get that was generate a nectar button through a shortcode an copy the actual html by viewing the page source. If you’re trying to stop a featured image from appearing, there was actually an option added to do so in the latest update which can be found in the blog options tab of the Salient options panel

Parallax scrolling is disabled for all mobile devices since touch scrolling doesn’t trigger the effect very nicely as with a mouse scrollbar/wheel – if you want to activate it, open the responsive.css file in your css folder and delete this segment:

background-attachment: scroll !important;
background-position: center center !important;
