1) You can edit the background color of the header from the filewp-content/themes/soulmedic-2/style.css line no: 286. The class name is (#header). Just change the background color.
2) You can reduce the height of the header by reducing the padding in the same class mentioned in the point 1

I have another issue with the Home page. I wish to add a slider carousel for our services above FAQ’s and Why Us section. But when I add the shortcode “[showbiz PopularTreatments] ” for the slider, the slider does not have a full width to align with the rest of content but is like a column in a 3 columns row (that is, aligned with the left column in the Services row above). I am in a development site. I need to add a slider carousel to show our services. I want this slider to go across a full width, not sit in a column. But your home page in the theme is in two columns. How can I set to put a slider carousel in and go across a full width from left to right?
The other issue is: In your demo Home Example 3, there is the arrow buttons ”<>” for the “Our Clinic” slider. But I don’t see these ”<>” arrow buttons to scroll in my development site with your demo data. How to get these visible so we can click to scroll? Is it possible to make it to scroll automatically? I mentioned that the site is moved to main domain. pacificvascular.com and the mail is from iron**@g.com and its sent to Ram.
I can send the screenshot of the disappearning menu as its not possible to capture. The issue is that when you place a cursor on the menu and if the dropdown is there it disappears. after 2 or 3 tries I can actually access the menu. This is not possible with a screenshot. If you still want to have a proof then I can do a screencast.
The other issue is that layerslider is not showing up on IE 9.

Yes! you can import the demo data from “Dashboard -> Soulmedic -> General -> Import Dummy Data”. That will automatically import the dummy contents.
I have purchased and installed SoulMedic theme. I wish to install the demo package but can’t get it right. After clicked “Import Dummy Data” button in Buddah Panel, I can’t get slider and images working. Also the menu items are not same as those in the demo. For example, under URL “http://localhost/mysoulmedic/” I get a default home page with blank image frames, and when I clicked the Home menu, it displays another home page which is similar to Demo’s home page but has got no sliders and images. Also it shows Home>>Home which is different from the Home page in the demo site. It seems that this Home page is paralell to other pages that do not have a slider but show Home>>Home, or Home>>Doctors etc. Moreover, the sub-menu items under Home in my site are different from that in the Demo site: In my site it only shows Home Example 2 and Home Example 3. But it shows in the Demo site Home Example 2, Home Example 3, Home Example 4, Homepage – Shop and Homepage – Shop2. How can I fix these to get my site same as the demo? Please help! Many thanks!

The name of the shortcodes itself explains its function. Editing the shortcode is that you mean to edit the source code? If yes you can edit from the file wp-content/plugins/designthemes-core-features/shortcodes/shortcodes.php

Hi!., Yes you can have the pages list in the sidebar using the “Pages” widget. Add the “Pages” widget in the sidebar and all the pages will be shown in the sidebar. If you wish to exclude some pages, mention the id of the pages separated by commas.

The shortcode generator issue has been already fixed. Updating our theme files will fix the issue.
Follow the below steps to update the theme:-
1) Download the theme from themeforest page.
2) If you have made any custom changes in the code, please take a backup of it.
3) Overwrite the updated theme files to the older theme files. Update the custom change that you had already.
4) go to wp-content/plugins/ through ftp
5) Remove the folder designthemes-core-features/ from wp-content/plugins/
6) Then Login to Dashboard -> Appearance -> Install Plugins. Install the Designthemes Core Features plugin. Thats it. Now you are updated to the latest version.
Note: If you have already updated our theme, just follow the steps 4,5,6 to update our designthemes-core-features plugin, which will solve all your issues.
