i have bothered you with questions for the last couple days but i’m feeling my website is just the way i wanted it to be if i had hired someone to do it.. so, thanks for that! 
one of the last things i’m trying to do is, i’d like to have a fullwidth portfolio, with no gaps between the thumbnails, but with 3 rows of images instead of 4, is that possible?
also, is it possible to delete the project header entirely? i mean not just to hide the boxes/title/arrows, i have already done that, but now there is a big gap until my project images start to appear.

1. This would require modding the css/js files to accommodate the different column number – I do actually also plan on adding more control over the max constraint in the theme itself in future updates
2. Add this:

Hey Andrew, unfortunately there’s no PSD’s included because there’s no images used in the design elements. If you needed a PSD for mocking up, a screenshot would be almost as useful.

You can update by downloading a fresh copy from ThemeForest, deleting the current version you have on your server and uploading the new. I recommend using FTP, but you can use the WP dashboard if you prefer. You won’t lose any of your content or theme settings so don’t worry about that if you were
I am using the Salient Child theme with Ubermenu and after testing it on iPad, both portrait / landscape doesn’t appear to have the 3 vertical lines to indicate that the menu is responsive.
Just the initial troubleshooting, was to activate the salient theme and deactivate the Child theme, when I do this, the mobile menu displays on iPad, both portrait and landscape mode but if I were to then activate the child theme then the menu becomes not responsive.
I looked temporarily removed the files that were in the child theme to see if it would do anything and it appears that it is not. By chance, is this a known issue? Due to the nature of this issue, I will more than likely have to submit a ticket just asking quickly here, in case your aware of this or have a solution you can provide.
WordPress version is 3.9.2

anyway you can share your URL so I can take a peek? As far as I know ubermenu takes over the main menu so the default salient responsive menu might not be visible

The is a beautiful theme, and I love the look of my blog. However, whenever I click to read a full blog post, it refers me to a “404 Page Not Found” link. How can I fix this, so that when you click the “read more”, it re-directs you to the blog post?

Try first deactivating your plugins to see if any are causing the issue – if that doesn’t work, attempt to recreate your permalinks in the settings > permalinks section of your admin panel by clicking save changes.

You can control the colors for those elements in the header/footer tabs of your theme options panel – just need to activate the custom color scheme

And now I have a bigger problem – I figured out the issue, but when I restored to a previous revision it deleted all my custom CSS for that page. Do you know how I can get it back? Wanted to let you know, because unless im missing something this is a bug.
Hey cmh428, glad you figured out the first issue – in regards to the custom css disappearing when using page revisions, this may indeed may an actual glitch of Visual Composer itself since Salient doesn’t modify that aspect in any way. I’ll try and reach out to the plugin developer in regards

Thanks for getting back to me so quickly, I checked the box to hide the carousel and that’s sorted the padding at the top which is great, however I’m still left with some padding at the bottom. I’ve got it set to Title overlaid w/ zoom effect on hover – however it seems as though it may be leaving room for some text maybe? I’m not sure. If you’ve got any other suggestions on how to remove it so it sits flush to the next element please let me know? Thanks for your time.

URGENT! For some reason my pages are not loading. It’s really strange… They load if you reload the page, but if you just click on the menu item or link the permalink looks correct, but the page is blank with a little smiley face on the upper left corner. Please help!!

in the control panel typography options you don’t provide an option for 0px letterspacing. Yet, most of your default settings (h1-h5 for instance) have a tracking of -0.5px (which looks badly kerned on Chrome Win). How could I reset all tracking data to 0px first and then only change those I need to?
My second question – is there a good approach for changing CSS that would update well. For example, I would like to make some changes in \themes\salient\css\responsive.css, but it doesn’t work if I put the changed file in my child theme. If I change it in your file, it will be overwritten in the next update. What would be the best approach (beside copy-pasting large chunks into custom-css panel)? Is there a style guide besides your answers in these comments?

2. This is a known issue that the child theme won’t grab the responsive.css file but this will also be fixed in the next update.

Thanks. About the style guide – do you have an overview of css styles somewhere? Like an index – where all the main text elements are listed (at least the ones you get asked about in these comments) and their corresponding css styles for quick targeting in the custom css box. It would probably save you time with the amount of questions

I answer css questions in a large scope of modifications everyday – if there’s a few things you’re wondering how to target I’d be glad to help out, but unfortunately am not sure what you mean by an index of all the main text elements – in the style.css the heading/paragraph styling declarations are listed near the top from lines 150-450 if that’s what you’re wondering
I was refering to something that lists only the css styles one might want to change – font sizes, paddings, smaller changes usually. I’ve seen some nice indexes of commonly used styles with some theme documentations. The style.css is way too elaborate for this use, as it includes the entire design. For example, I’m making my own little list as I go along – if this was complete so that it would include the things you see in the demo theme, it would be a time saver and I wouldn’t have to ask for each specific thing I come across. It’s very nice that you answer regularly though (and probably better for less tech savvy users), so this is more of a time saving suggestion for all of us. Here’s my example “css index”

1. You’d need to open the file nectar/options/options-init.php and do a search/replace for “Salient”.
2. You can rename the theme itself from Salient when it’s inactive and then reactivate it – but changing all lines that reference “salient” in the various files could only be done through a tedious process and might be a little overkill

I recently have updated to last theme version. Absolutely amazing as always. But I have a problem, the heart icon has disappeared from single post page, I can see social media icons but the heart icon is goce. In general blog page (masonry blog with sidebar style) appears correctly.

1. The issue is that you don’t have the “custom-row-class” added to your row which is holding the image with animation. Just add that in without the quotes in the css class input field for the row
2. When you say there’s no other option, do you mean you don’t see the checkbox in the admin panel?

in Salients VisualComposer, Blog element I can select “Blog Categories” to display (“Please select the categories you would like to display for your blog.”). However, if I select/or multisect some categories, I still see all categories in my “Masonry Blog Fullwidth” element? Is this a known bug?
