thanks for clarification Product box size can be changed with custom css, unfortunately we don’t have an option for that. Responsive styles also needs to be changed in order to get this to work properly on all screen sizes.

1. Thanks for your note and feature request, we will consider adding this functionality to our theme.
2. You can paste this code to custom css field in Select Options:

}
This will constrain your thumbnails height to 185px and it will make all your images the same height. However, it won’t crop your images, it will just show a part of your vertical images but those will be fully visible when viewed in lighbox.

How do I add images to the home page? The full size images that the demo shows? I can’t find a single word about stuff like this in the documentation. This is a nice theme but documentation is lacking basic info…. I created a menu but it doesn’t show up at all. Again, there’s no world what to do to make it appear at the top. full screen images that you see in our theme demo is Select Slider which shortcode you can add to each page / post using Select Custom Fields. Here is a screenshot of that option with shortcode added.

In the theme there is the Visual Composer Version 4.2.3. I can’t update at the Versione 4.3.2, cause he ask me the license key that is blank in the license folder of your theme. The theme you use for a demo have all the features of the 4.3.2 version. With this old version of the plug in i can’t do a lot of things i wish to do buying your theme. Please give me a license for updating the Visual Composer or i spent money for nothing!
The question is: How can i make a background parallax using the Visual Composer plug in like is in your demo (example: the background of the Testimonials that have the wood or the background with the icons at the end of the page with the sea). I cant figured out

Regarding VC, you don’t need to activate your VC, since we bought VC with extended licence, so we can provide VC with theme with no other expenses for customer. Also, we will update regularly VC plugin and provide it via theme updates, so also you don’t need to update it by yourself (it is not recommended, since we always do some changes in VC and provide that changed version).
We are also using VC 4.2.3 and we will update it, but we are shorter with resources during summer and right now we are focused on providing support. We will move on with updates in the beginning on September.
You can build everything with your current version of VC, no worries.
Regarding parallax sections, when you create row and insert testimonailas shortcode in it, you can edit that row and set it to be ‘parallax’ type, after that (in same window for editing) you can set background image for that row and height for that row. And that’s it.
Regarding parallax image adaptions, you can ether insert bigger image or use this custom css which you can put in custom css field in Select Options:

}
Regarding slider, you need to create slider first, in admin > Select Slider. After that you have to insert slider shortcode on home page in predefined filed for that (in Select Custom Fields under the content filed on page):

1) Is it possible to add a blog section to the homepage? Just a few “latest posts” with the standard Read More links beneath.
2) If I upload the demo content, will my site appear like your theme demo as a starting point that I can then modify/change, swap photos for my own, etc?
3) If so, can I remove sections from the homepage that I don’t want or need?
4) You don’t have a “Team” section like many other themes. I’d like to add that with photos and make them clickable to galleries with photos and text … is that possible?

1) With the Team shortcode, I presume I can add that to the homepage wherever I’d like it to appear. Would I just insert the shortcode between the sections I want it to appear beneath/above?
2) I’d also like the Team photos to be clickable and take the viewer to a photo set in a gallery format. If I make a gallery page for each team member (only 3 in this case), it shouldn’t be a problem linking the photos to the appropriate gallery, right?
3) In the What We Do section, you have a series of icons on your default demo. But I noticed on your Soho theme (which I totally love, btw, and will be using for another client, if not myself!), you have a version of that on a page where it displays photos in place of the icons. Can the photos version be used on the Nouvea homepage in place of the icons?
Sorry for all the questions, but better to be fully aware before purchasing and putting a lot of time into building the site only to find out I can’t do some things I’d really like to do, y’know?
And I’m really getting excited about using this theme. But a major concern for any theme is the support behind it. Your quick and thorough reply is very, very encouraging.
However, I did read a couple of recent exchanges where customers complained about the complexity of the theme and ultimately requested a refund. That has me a little worried. Is there anything you can do to help alleviate that for me? I have 8 wp sites under my belt now, and a few were pretty complex, so I’m confident I can handle the theme. But again, those exchanges are a little disconcerting. I’m not looking for you to rehash the exchanges, and I know that you indicated there were no support tickets opened by the customer so you had no way of assessing/helping with the problems they faced. I guess I just need some reassurance that I’m not going to be getting in over my head with this theme.

Regarding support, we are working hard to provide support to anyone. Sometimes in a lack of time, we don’t respond immediately, but we are answering on all tickets. Some people find our theme complex because there is lot of fields and customization, but for someone it is complex, for someone it is advantage because you can change almost everything. Bottom line is that we are helping to our clients to achieve what they want if that is in the theme scope.

Ok, cool on inserting the shortcode.
Too bad on not being able to link the larger version of the team members because I prefer that format. But I could always add some text in the body like “Click here to see the full photo shoot” or whatever, and link that to the gallery. The client is a salon and we plan to do photo shoots of the 3 stylists, which would be cool to link to.

I like the way it has photos, which for my salon client might work better. Is it possible to use this layout/format on the Nouvea theme?

Regarding ‘what we do’ on Soho, we don’t see any section with photos, there are variations of icons, but no photos. Could you send us a link of that page (without iframe) or attach some screenshot?

Ah ok, we understand now. There is no such exact same shortcode on Nouveau, but still you can build it with simple image, text and button, like this: http://demo.select-themes.com/nouveau/our-process/
Only button on the bottom is missing. You can also put that in different number of columns, so you can make it to be 3 or 4 in row.

Not usre on which shortcode do you mean, we just said that we don’t have that shortcode form Soho in Nouveau. You can build it with image , text and button shortcode separately.
If you need some basic changes of shortcode, than we could help you, but mayor chaining of functionality we can’t provide since we are very limited on resources.

I just realized I was confusing the two themes, Nouveau and Soho.
And now that I compare them, I think I might end up going with Soho for my salon client.
I have added Nouveau to my private collection for future use, and will go ahead and ask my questions about Soho on it’s comments page.

You have put your slider shortcode inside content and that’s why this is happening. You need to put Select Slider shortcode in predefined filed so it could be full widht. That field is in Select Custom Fileds under the content filed on your page.

I have couple of questions before I buy this beautiful theme, Btw i’m using this theme for photograpy website 1: Can I use portrait images on homepage, Will it stretch or just stay in the center 2: All portfolio pages are square, so can i use masonry layout? 3: gallery images are all square, again can i put different sized images and hope it frames resizes?

1. Could you be more specific? Where to use them? In Select Slider that is placed on home page? If yes, than they will be stretched to fit full screen. You can use Layer Slider instead, that we have provided with theme.
2. Unfortunately on this theme, portfolio masonry is not available on this theme.
3. Yes you can, but it will not be stacked like masonry layout, they will pull the row down.
Regarding demos, sorry but we don’t have list of sites that are using our theme.
