Hello. i would like to know if the shop templates can be used like a online catalog of products, like the same layout, but witout shopping cart functions and buttons, and if I can replace the “add to cart” button by one “place order of product” that will be display a enquire contact form. Or i can use the portfolio templates for that? What do you recommend to me? Thanks.

Technically you could use the portfolio for this, it would be setup just like you see on the portfolio page.
For the shop, that is all controlled via WooCommerce. They do not include a catalog type feature out of the box, but there are plugins out there you can use that will allow that.

Quick Question. I am working on a client’s website using this theme. They are using WPML including 3 languages (Netherlands, English and French). I have set up a portfolio page for the three languages using the Portfolio Four Column Text and for some strange reason the french version doesn’t show any of the portfolio item. The other two languages show the portfolio items. Any clue on how to fix this?

You need to make sure you select each post to show in all languages. If you have issues with that, I would recommend contacting WPML support.

Thanks for responding. Each language has different portfolio pieces. Is that the reason why it’s not working.? Also, I can’t change the portfolio options for the page under the french language. I am testing to see how the portfolio section works and when I change the filters to hide and select update, the filter dropdown still shows “show”.

Hi there Upgraded to the latest version of Avada and experiencing some issues – hopefully you can shed some light on this. Unable to view any ‘Theme options’ within the dashboard menu – all I see is a blank screen on each theme options tab i.e Header, Typography etc Also within ‘Menu’ I am unable to see any menu blocks so unable to edit any menu’s within the site. All issue’s seem to be within the ‘Appearance’ menu on the dashboard. Any idea on how to fix this issue?

For theme options, you just need to clear your browser cache.
But that should not affect the menu section, however give it a try. The theme does not interfer with core WP items like menu section.
If the issue persists, please post this up on our support forum and our support team will take good care of you. Create a new topic with details about the issue, your site URL and version of Avada. For faster service, please include your WP and FTP login info when creating the thread.

No they will not show up as integrated elements. However, you can use the text block element and add the shortcodes through our generator.

2) Why are there so many javascript and CSS codes in the source code? eg. ’.avada_huge_white_text’ till ‘avada_block_white_trans’, why not in a css-file?
3) Why using full JQuery scripts instead of jquery files, for example, on the homepage (source code)? I would have this individual codes in css and javascript files..

1. The link you gave is for our live demo, not your site. Our demo has every feature turned on and has an extremely large amount of content. If you have a small site, then the page size will be reduced. That is normal, and even with that look at the page speeds you can get: http://gtmetrix.com/reports/theme-fusion.com/5a4s0b4B
2. Those are from the 3rd party plugins, not the theme. The ones you quoted are from the Revolution Slider. That is how they set it up and it has to be done that way, but it does not slow down performance as you think it would.
3. Again, some of that is not from the theme but from plugins. You do not have to choose to use those plugins if you do not want to. Some of the theme code is like that because we can’t have them all in a css or js file as they are dynamically created and change on per page/per shortcode basis. If we create an own file for any script/style needed separately on the fly, that would slow down loading tremendously.
As you can see from our demo, which is loaded with content and has every plugin and feature on, it still gives amazing results (see link above).

We’ve changed our development cycle and ended up splitting up v4 into a few smaller updates. v3.5 which was released about a month ago was the first step in that direction. v3.6 is our next major release and will include a custom page builder, dual sidebars and complete control over the site width. I’m trying to use the rev slider and it’s not installed…? I reinstalled the theme and it’s still not available.
I checked all documentation and cannot find a way to fix this issue. I have checked themepunch documentation and it says to contact you for the .zip file that should have been installed with the theme.

Ok, so I bought this theme because I liked it very much and as a fairly new user to wordpress I thought that with all the sales of this theme it was of good quality and good programming, however I am having problems with the portfolio, I have followed the instructions and my posts are not showing up. I have followed instructions on everything else, ‘blog and faq’s and all works’ but the portfolio posts are not showing up, I see the ‘working bar’ but nothing appears, please help, I am really frustrated now.

I’m sorry about this, I understand how it can be frustrating. Due to the nature of software, it can be any number of things, but we can quickly check it out if you can post on our support forum. Our forum allows you to give us a live link, and login info so we can check it out first hand and give you a solution.
From what I hear now, it could be a 3rd party plugin issue. Try to disable them and see if that helps. If not, please post on our forum with the information so we can take a look.
Oh and one other thing, did you make sure to upload a featured image for each portfolio post?

I would like to know if Avata could be adapted for a Commercial Real Estate Brokerage website. Some Real Estate functionality like the ability to create property listings for Commercial Properties for Sale and for Lease and some other typical functionality of a Real Estate website.
I am using another template right now, but since I know that Avata is an outstanding template, I would like to know if I could use it for my business website.

Yes it can, but for real estate features like that you need to use a plugin, like an IDX plugin. That will be true for any plugin here unless it is a specific real estate template that has that type of feature integration. Most will rely on a 3rd party plugin to do that type of thing.

I am trying to hide just the social links on a specific page and not the whole header. I would like for the logo and menu to show. Is there a way to hide the top social icons on a specific page?

Do I need to buy 2 regular licenses for two separate wordpress instances? In other words, i would like to switch to avada theme for my main website, lets call it: mywebsite.com but at the same time i would like to keep my portfolio in a separated wordpress instance installed on the same server, same hosting company, called portfolio.mywebsite.com.
Hmmm yes I believe that requires two licensees. Basically the rule is one single license for one site. Since you will have separate WP instances, that would be two sites.
