Hi.
I am concerning if this Samba theme would make any problems or not when I add an plugin “Chronos” and “CSS3 Tooltips For WordPress” on it.
Can you guess and make a comment about any possibility of the problem before I make a decision ?

The plugins should work with the theme. Probably you will need to turn off the Ajax load feature (it is a theme option that can apply to all pages or only to some of them).

This is possible to achieve with portfolio items. All you have to do is set up a project link and select the option to “Open project link when thumb is clicked”. Cheers

I identified a bug in your Template SAMBA :

When I click on the cross on the bar at the top left to return to the Portfolio … navigation becomes possible on the menu in the left column.

I have come into a bit of a problem, I have just added https to the site and it worked fine for what was already there.
The problem is with Portfolio any new item that had more then Feature Image the page does not render.
So image 2 -15 will stop the page from rendering this is only on new or updated items.
I have backed up removed all and reinstalled the WordPress and imported Posts, Pages Portfolio and the problem persists.
I dare not open or touch any other posts or portfolio just incase.
Most greatful for why its not accepting https:// on images in portfolio items.

Love this theme! My only issue is the ‘Read More’ link not showing up on the category archives when the post content is too short. I went so far as to create a custom excerpt that was longer than the actual post content, knowing it would cut off anyway, but that still didn’t work. I’m sure I can edit the core, but I’d rather avoid that if at all possible.

Great theme, really like it! Couple of requests:
1) Could you please add the ability to colour posts by category (each post category can have it's own colour).
2) When browsing by blog categories, the close button in the top left always returns to the main blog. Could this return to the previous page, in my case /category/foo/ for a foo category.Thanks,

Glad to know that you like the theme. Here are my comments:
1) it will not work when posts have more than 1 category. So, for now you can still color them with the same color, but you have to set them one by one;
2) This requires that you change the main.js file at least;

1) I was thinking if the post has multiple categories you could choose the first one. Category colours could also be overridden by setting the post’s colour. I agree multiple categories muddy the water, but it could still prove a useful feature.

I have problems with Samba theme. When I change some of the Samba Options, the background color of the menu, for example, I can’t see any difference and when I try to do it again, I can see the default color back.
Do you know why is this happening? I am using child theme.

I am facing an issue loading the theme on firefox mobile browser for android on tablets as well as many phones. The menu bar loads but the main pages remains blank. Now this happens on my site appsnstuff.mobi as well as your site pirenko.com. I have taken screenshots of it if you need them.

Hey great theme. Just finished up a site with it.
I was working on the site on a subdomain and moved it to my primary domain. In doing so, all of the theme options were deleted. Is there a way to export theme settings in a json file or another format to save them?

I don’t know the process that you have followed to move your content, but the theme options are stored on the WP database. If you want to move them, the options ID is samba_theme_options. Cheers!

Good to know that you are enjoying the theme! You can try and edit the main.js file for that (search for ”.shortcode_slider.super_height”). I think that it will look weird when doing the transition.

Thank you for the speedy answer! I tried adding animation: ‘slide’, but the images become blown up 10x the size. Some other function must rely on the fade animation. Any clues what makes the images larger? No js errors are shown.

That is probably because of the CSS properties that are involved with that type of transition. You can try and edit the theme scripting if you want to change that (you should use the same main.js file for that). Cheers!
