Also, have you guys made a plugin that can switch the skin of the7 website in the PM hours? That would be really cool, or if there was a simple setting where you could choose the one that would be switched depending on the viewers time zone.

Is there a problem if I install VC on my own?
I edited to not redeclare a function that already does the VC version that comes with the theme. It was successfully activated.
But I wondered if I give a problem to do that.
The reason is that I bought addons that can not see that VC is already installed with the theme.

This was discussed couple of times already.
At this moment you cannot use VC addons with The7. Except Ultimate Addons: http://codecanyon.net/item/ultimate-addons-for-visual-composer/6892199
We’re going to have a Composer as separate plugin in next major update (coming in early autumn). Then it will be compatible with all addons.
Alternatively you can ask those addons developers to make them compatible with VC build into theme (like Ultimate Addons author did).

You failed to answer a question: I enabled VC (which I bought) pluguin disabling functions in the index, so it does not look “can’t not redeclare” etc etc.
What is the risk of VC activated at the same time to have it with the theme?

It will not work properly.
The7 has build in highly customized version of composer. If you use a standalone version of theme – you will loose more than a half of The7 unique layout elements / shortcodes.

My home page is using the microsite (its not a 1 page website) but when I want to have the full screen slider in revolution slider and the menu deactivated so that the slider takes up the whole screen, then the mobile site has no menu to use. Is there going to be an option for this to be enabled only on the mobile site if we want? And also enable the top bar only on the mobile site if we want as well?

We’re not planning to add such options. However you can write a simple CSS media query to show/hide certain interface elements (menu, top bar, etc.) and store it in the “Custom CSS” section of your homepage (do not put it in the Theme Options > Advanced > Custom CSS because it will influence all your pages obviously).

If you are familiar with CSS editing, you can use FireBug (FireFox plugin for web-developers) or Chrome web developers tools to define which style should be changed and where. I know you don’t like to spend time on customization questions, but others may find interest in this question so here goes:
I love the floating menu, so much that I’d like to put my client’s phone number on it, to the right of the menu lists. I can certainly write the CSS necessary to float it right, style it, etc, but is there a way to enter the number there in the first place? And same question for the header.
I’d rather not have to open theme files if I don’t have to for obvious theme update reasons.

I’m afraid there’s no other way to put additional elements to the floating menu than editing JavaScript responsible for its creating (in “js/main.js”). Also you’ll need to add styling for this new element in theme CSS files (presumably in “css/main.css”).
Regarding phone number in header. There IS a header layout that allows to have a logo on the left, block with arbitrary text on the right and menu underneath. Please check out the “Theme Options > Header”

.XML is main content like posts and page. You may also want to import sliders (they are in separate subfolder).

Small correction The7 has limited compatibility with UberMenu. And we strongly recommend to use a build-in mega menu system.
Thx SUPERDOC, but your solution does not work. In Visual Composer setup page are a lot of unchecked options, but without extra plugin. Still not working…

After plugin activation I get: “The PW Box Post Layout for Visual Composer plugin requires Visual Composer Plugin installed and activated.”
I have the latest version of Visual Composer installed as well.
Please advice on how to solve this situation?!

I’d like to add that we’re going to move the Composer to separate plugin in closest major update (coming in the early autumn). Then it will be compatible with add-ons.
To Jolanta in The Netherlands: With any addon for VC: to activate it, you usually have to go into the general Visual Composer setup page by clicking on Visual Composer in the admin area. There where you see “administrator” click on it and you will find your addons in the list BUT unchecked. Check them off and save and you are good to go.

Can you set the individual blogs (posts) so that it always the same image at the top rather than a solid color with the text centered. My blogs are syndicated stories which are published remotely, so there is no option in the publishing to go the the admin and select fancy header. All posts need the same image. Any ideas?

Yes. For your purpose I’d use a “Fancy Header” for blog posts. But you’ll have to set them manually for every post – bulk action is unfortunately not possible.

After plugin installation I have info: “The PW Box Post Layout for Visual Composer plugin requires Visual Composer Plugin installed and activated.” How to activate extensions for VC?
