Are you planning to make a full WP installation, with demo contents already included, so less techy users can have an exact copy of the demo site?
I’m having problems installing demo contents and I’m not able to have the same layout as the demo site.

Hi, what should I do in order to update REVOLUTION SLIDER? from /wp-admin/admin.php?page=revslider I can not activate it, it gives me error…

Since the plugin is bundled with the theme (you buy the theme and receive a copy of the rev slider) you can only update it by updating the theme itself.
You can enter a purchase code for the rev slider and receive auto updates, but you would need to buy a single copy of the rev slider itself to get a purchase code for that. Our purchase code you get is only for our theme.
The difference is this, you bought a theme that includes a premium plugin, that does mean you have a single license for that plugin which allows you to register it and get auto updates. When you buy a theme with a plugin like that, you have to get theme updates to get the plugin updated. That is all due to the licensing rules that everyone has to follow. Hope that makes sense …

K, today I received an email from my provider telling me of a bug on REVOLUTION SLIDER and arrange to upgrade to the latest version. So now if I download the theme files which I need to update to update REVOLUTION SLIDER without overwriting the changed files?
What changed files did you make? If you made code changes then you should be using a child theme for that. In that case you only need to update the patent theme.
Or you can update the rev slider only by purchasing it separately from their item page.

Hi There,
My business specialises in phone support for a number of specialised pieces of retail technology. Your theme has a bunch of options and I think it may do what I need but obviously i’d like to confirm .
could I: 1) upload pdf manuals for products in a “knowledgebase”. (something where the format looks a little like this [link removed per author request]?product=supportdesk when you click on the knowledge base page) 2) potentially have a community forum (in the future) 3) some type of live chat functionality.

1. You can upload PDF’s or other file types, but there is not a dedicated knowledgebase like that with the theme.
2. Yes you can use the free bbPress forum plugin as we do on our demo, we add styles for it also. See it here: http://theme-fusion.com/avada/forums/
3. You can also use a plugin for that, we do not include one but there are many you can choose from.

Can place hyperlinks within the accordian shortcode but hyperlinks won’t work inside the shortcode. They show up as links, bold, hover, and show the url but are unclickable. Exact same

Could you state that the new Avada 4.0 (completely rebuilt and with a custom page builder instead of the shortcode generator) will be release in the next two or three weeks?
I’ve read many times that the 4.0 version is coming soon …. but the first time I read that statement it is was a long time ago (http://mharis.net/avada-4-0/).
Could you today say that you will release the “new Avada 4.0” in the next two or three weeks as you already done in the last couple of hours to other customers (you state 2 weeks to be accurate…) ?
If positive I buy your theme right now just after getting your reply!

We decided to take a different route and divider version 4.0 into smaller achievable versions.
Avada 3.6 with page builder is coming in about two weeks from today (more like a week from today).

You announced Avada 4.0 back in 2013. At that time you were able to achieve the accomplishment in about 8 weeks.

We underestimated the scope of the project and after that, we decided to break the scope of the project into different versions.
Our next version focuses on bringing many new features including page builder.
On top of that, we are also focusing on code and performance changes.

No, we do not have problems with page loading speed. Keep in mind our demo is loaded with content and shows all features, it is done that way to display everything we can to our users. But even with that, we still get very good speed results.
And in regard to the 4.0 planning. Regardless of what was posted, plans change. Anything we change or reschedule is for the better of our user base and our product. We underestimated the project, which happens. We keep our users informed and up to date on our support forum, and even give previews and beta versions.
We value our user base more than anything, and will always make the right decisions for them and our product.

Hi friends, Avada is great. The only reason am not using it any more is that it doesn’t have page builder. No problem with shortcodes to build the page. But hey, try making changes in a complex page. How can one make sense of all that code? It takes me more than double the time as with a theme with page builder. Aren’t you thinking in implementing one? or maybe some kind of color distinctin so we can navigate the codes left by shortcodes and find what we want to change? Thx.

Thanks for the comments. And yes, a custom page builder is already built and done, and being released ion about 2 weeks. The majority of our suers though prefer the shortcodes, so the generator option will still be there, but you can also use the visual page builder if you wish.

I have this theme and I need to update the slider plugin but it’s not showing up available for update on the dashboard.
Its a bit different since the plugin comes bundled with the theme.
First off just for clarification, that revolution slider plugin issue was resolved over 7 months ago. And Avada was updated that time also with the new plugin update.
The difference is this, you bought a theme that includes a premium plugin, that does mean you have a single license for that plugin which allows you to register it and get auto updates. Older versions of Avada did not have an auto updater, so you simply had to download the latest theme files from your Themeforest account. If you are on anything higher than Avada v3.4 the rev slider is already updated. If its older than that, then simply download the latest theme files from your account and update the theme.
On Avada 3.5 and higher, you can setup the auto updater with your credentials and you will receive notifications that there is an update.
However, we are vigilant in keeping up with any updates like that for our users. So you will always be able to resolve it with Avada.

Anytime, we are here to help! Sucuri was right in posting the article, any security issue is serious. However they did it in poor taste and without knowing the full details. And they also falsified information saying that the revolution slider developers did not notify anyone, when in reality it was right there for anyone to see. Sucuri simply didn’t do their research.

I have a question – this theme comes bundled with slider plugins. If the slider plugins are updated, does it include updates to the sliders? I ask because of the recent vulnerability to Slider Revolution that has come to light. If I have a previous purchase of this theme for a client, how do we go about getting the update to the slider plugin.

We always stay up to date with plugins, so all you would need to do is update the theme.

1. If you are inserting that in a tagline box, that is why. That is a generated shortcode. You can insert a link in-between the opening and closing tagline tag though.
2. You can copy our demo code from any of our pages built with shortcodes, see it here: http://theme-fusion.com/avada-doc/demo-content-info/import-individual-pages/
Those sections are made with the full width shortcode, and content goes inside of it. Check it out in the docs, its home page 18.
-make a new page, set it to 100% width
-insert full width shortcode
-then put your other content inside of full width shortcode.

[Security issue] Avada inserts a new row to wp_options table if any page is accessed with unsupported WPML ?lang var.
E.g. Request to ?lang=abcdef will create new row in wp_options with column option_name = “Avada_options_abcdef”.
This is a huge security issue and needs to be fixed ASAP.

Actually this is not a real security issue, however it is already being addressed in 3.6 (coming in about 2 weeks or less)
1) user has to be an admin to do that
2) it will only copy options into the database, no other thing can be injected

Regarding 1): That’s not true. I just opened a new “Incognito Tab” in Chrome and did the request which also resulted in a new row in wp_options.
Yeah it is for us, tested it several times. Something else may be going on your end, possibly a different 3rd party plugin.
Have you opened a thread on our forum for this? That would be the next step, so we can check out your setup.

Also, are you logged into your admin when you opened an incognito tab? If so then yes, that will do it. User has to be admin.

You accessed wp-admin/ with query var lang. Please try it against /lala?lang=lala and you will see that a new row gets created.

It already does, you can set the megamenu to full width, and control the dropdown width of regular menu.
Megamenu full width is set in menu section of your admin. Dropdown width for regular menu is set in theme options > menu
