Can anyone tell me what the ideal size for the slider is? My images are not fitting in even though I have changed the height! http://www.wearestory.co.uk/
Also…is it possible to make the nectar slider a parallax but with an image not a video. I managed to do it for the testomonials box but doesnt seem to be an option for the slider?

Turn the flexible height option on in your Nectar Slider element on the page – also it appears your slider is already parallaxing, are you trying to do something else?

I i’m gonna buy Salient, i want more information about “home-blog” i need this type of home page, but i want to know 1) if is possible to insert only a video in the slideshow, 2) if is possible to have the blog boxes only in the two columns on the left and on the third column have the latest works linking to portfolio section. does it is possible? i need to have the home page with both the news linking to my blog and some last works… is this possible? thanks!

2. You can only go down to three columns as of now for the masonry blog look, but I’ve noted to allow for less as well

Hi, Im loving the masonry feature of this theme. Just wondering, I would like to display a portfolio item (one that has multiple images within it) using the masonry style similar to that on the homepage for recent portfolio items, is this possible within a portfolio item to display the associated images this way? If so, how would I go about doing it? I notice the Image Gallery doesn’t have an option for Masonry. The only way I can seem to do it is to create a ‘Page’ as opposed to a ‘Portfolio Item’. Keen to hear your thoughts

as of now you would indeed have to still use the portfolio element in order accomplish this – it could be used inside of the portfolio single project editor, just make sure you have the full width project option active

hello, I have just a couple of questions before buying this theme, in the demo, the letters are way to gray, can you change them to black, some people say you couldnt. Also i was hoping to know how customizable this theme is, and how often you update it.

Today I tried to set up „Pagination“ on my portfolio…I have around 20 projects, so I was set up „enable pagination“ (default mode) and 8 projects per page. All seems to be ok, but if I click on next button or number of next page (under portfolio) just 404 page appeared. If I was set up infinite scroll with limit of 8 project per page just 8 project loaded up and message that „all project was loaded up“ showed up. I have Salient 4.5.22.
Am I missing some setting or principle of portolio pagination?

Hey Petr,
Ensure that you have a custom slug entered in your portfolio options tab in the Salient options panel – enter anything other than “portfolio” such as “project” or “work” etc. and then resave your permalink structure in Settings > Permalinks

On Blog Standard (when it’s a basic /blog URL showing all your posts) is there a way to have the blog date under the heading, instead of the side? And can you also add the code for the blog title and meta data to be on top of the featured image, instead of underneath?

I know you aren’t supporting IE8 but it looks like the latest theme updates may have brought back the multiple header logo issue that was resolved a while ago. The site wasn’t great in IE8 but it was viewable. Any chance you could take a look.

Hello Salient Theme, Thank you for the great theme. I had one minor questions. Is there a way to have the mobile navigation stick to the header as you scroll down the page on smart devices? Its easier for the user to not have to scroll back to the top of the page to engage with the navigation. Please let me know thank you.

Hello Theme Nector, Thank you again for the pior help. One issue I am having with the mobile navigation now is the drop down mobile menu. It does not slide up and down and if I have more menu locations outside of the mobile window size I can not access. Can you make it so once sub menu is selected the menu will slide down to access additional menu items. Thank you.

Hi, is there a way to change the bg color of a single button in the top menu to make it really stand out?
I have three items up there and want one to have a different color BG and possibly font (so it doesn’t get lost in custom bg color) thank you!
Hey nancy1of, you could easily change the text color of a menu item, but changing the BG color of one wouldn’t be as easy unless you weren’t using the header resize effect
I can turn off the resize to accomplish this.

Hi ThemeNectar,
I am ALMOST finished putting together my site and I am still loving the theme. There are however some last minor issues that I am having that are holding the launch and was hoping I could get some assistance:
1) On the Contact page, the image I have added for the marker is not showing up when I visit the page. If I don’t use a custom photo there is still no marker showing up.
2) Our Client logo’s row the logo’s are not centering to the page. I have checked the center content vertically however after adding in some images of different size that seems to go out the window. Does Salient not re-adjust the size of the photos to fit evenly in the row?
3) Lastly, for some reason every time I go to edit my homepage it asks me to convert to new version of the visual composer. Every other page is fine I just don’t understand why it keeps asking me to convert it.

Thanks – as for #2, you’ll need to save all the logos at the same height even if there’s extra space on the top/bottom of the slimmer ones. This would be the easiest way to ensure the vertical alignment
When using a gallery module, can images from the light box go full screen at all, it’s they don’t fit that well on a mobile?

Heym The lightbox images can’t go actual fullscreen unless some custom development was done
Can you add it to your list please as on mobiles it’s a bit odd when viewing in lightbox mode, full screen cover on mobiles would be much nicer
