Hello, Does this theme work well with the Visual composer? I already have purchased this plugin, but I know that some themes don’t work well with it so they include a customized version with the theme.

We have our own custom visual page builder ton use with Avada, however you can use VC if you wish, it will work. But our shortcodes will not integrate into the live VC preview i the back or front end. They will not be like the included VC shortcodes, but you can use ours with VC by adding them to a text block element and using our shortcode generator.

I posted that to inform you of what is already known will be different, that’s all.

By example homepage #18 is not the same in your demo and the import
Yep, home page 18 is now the previous example page 1 (under pages menu) with some edits. You can find home page 18 by clicking our logo. It is now our regular landing page, but still accessible in the docs.
We’re making a lot of changes to the demo, and since it takes time it has to be done in steps so you will notice some differences. Once it is done, we will update the demo content accordingly as well as our docs.

Dear Themeforrest. I think you need to check if the demo of Avada is ok. It looks like a mess.
The demo is checked, daily in fact. Can you please elaborate and show us some proof of what you see?
Where are you seeing this?
I can only assume you are looking at the demo in IE7 or possible IE8. The demo works in IE8, but IE8 has major limitations that nobody can adjust for. Also, IE67 and IE8 have been discontinued by Microsoft themselves. However, our theme will still work correctly in IE8 as we still support it as much as we can. The only thing we cannot do is adjust for IE8 limitations, which is to say items that IE8 simply does not support natively.

Hey!
Yes you would needed to update Avada if you are using WP 4.0. There has been major changes i the plugins (rev and layer) and also our own fusion core to work with WP 4.0.
If you go that route, I would do it locally first and then make any necessary changes before it goes live.

Thanks for the reply, is the rev slider still a problem if I’ve updated it to the latest version? Reason for asking, is the wp was hacked and have cleaned it up, replaced files, changed passwords, and so on, but want to try to keep it as secure as possible.

Are you referring to the rev slider security issue? That was fixed back in February so as long as you are using Avada v3.4 or higher, you are fine.

Your page content or posts will not be lost or need recreated, nor your sliders or anything like that.
If you have customized the code or changed our core theme files, then that should of been done with a child theme because when you update, those files will be replaced.
Always check our update guide first. Each update, especially major ones come with new features and additions, sometimes those new items will require new settings or adjustments of some kind, but nothing that requires you to rebuild pages.

We have Avada template and it’s ideal for a corporative web but now we need to create a landing page for generating leads without menu and different form background color.
We’ve tried to find the way at the presentation of avada template but nothing.

Yes you can build a landing page with Avada. You can build a one page site, http://theme-fusion.com/avada-doc/pages/setting-up-one-page-parallax/ Or use our blank page template which will hide the header and footer. Or you can use a regular page and hide the header or footer individually.
What really makes the difference is the page content. You can add content ot any page like that, for example a form (use Contact Form 7 plugin) or any other marketing type content. It pretty much comes down to what you put on the page.

Hi there, thanks for the theme – such a great value!
I am trying to add a button to the right of the magnifying glass/search box (like a “CALL NOW” button). I’m using Header #3 so my search bar is in the top main menu.
Is this possible? I tried switching to Header #4 so I could add some “banner code”, but it didn’t seem to want to button shortcode. :-/ I was able to add an image button, but I am unhappy with how Header #4 is looking and interacting with my Revolution Slider below. For some reason, it causes problems trying to access dropdown menu because the slider’s “timer” seems to kind of get in the way… so it’s touch-and-go when I can get my mouse down to the dropdown menu.
My ideal goal here is to be able to have a button (shortcode or image) appear to the right of the search in Header #3.

Yes it is possible but will take some custom coding, you will need to modify the header 3 php file you are using. We can recommend using microlancer.com for this type of custom work if needed. And better news is that in the future we are going to be adding some easier options to allow this type of thing in the header. We’ll try to get it worked in as fast as we can!

Yes that is from the sticky menu and is correct. Basically w3c will show anything it finds, many of which are false positives and are not a concern.

I absolutely LOVE this theme! I am having trouble with the Google map on the contact page. It’s not showing the correct marker. When I type the business name in Google Maps, their business name comes up on the actual map. But when I put the address in to the theme options it does not show the correct business. How do I make it display the correct map?

When you insert the same address in google maps site does it work correctly? Our maps pull from their API so if an address is wrong it is usually wrong on their end.
You could also try using longitude and latitude settings instead of the address.

Can you show me a custom css code to insert in order to make global changes for featured image to be centered and have original size of the image – “auto”? We have over 800 posts and editing each post one by one will take too much time.

A solution for you outside of customizations (since it is a custom request) would be this … Each post though can have a custom featured image size inserted in the post options, you can insert “auto” “auto” for width and height, you could do that for all posts using the custom bulk field editor so you dont have to do it manually for each one. Thank you for your reply regarding bulk editing, that sorts the problem. However I still could not find the code for CSS in order to center images on the blog posts.

I need to bulk edit all of the posts in order to edit Featured Image Width and Height to be “auto”, so the images are all original size…

The custom CSS solution would be better in your case if you already have it. The other method, does use the custom bulk field editor plugin, and will require custom coding as well as the KB post above shows. That post is for sidebars though.

How can we change the color of the triangle at the bottom of a testimonials box. Previous guidance pointed towards modifying an image located in the Avada/images folder. We do not see that image in the folder. Is there some css we could use to accomplish this? Thanks.

Since it had arrived with your latest release, I noticed in the navigation bar, new site demos will be coming soon as well.
Question. If I start working on my project now, will I be able to integrate a demo, when it becomes available, without loosing content and/or layout?

Thanks for the comments! We’ve not fully decided yet on how the new demos will be imported, but most likely they will use our same theme options importer because they will need to have all the correct theme options imported as well, all the settings. So to do that, it will replace your current theme option settings.
Each demo will need to use its own set of options, so there is not a way to import just one page and those options, it would change all of theme options. You will be able to import the page layout though from our docs or our builder, but as far as having all the settings correct from theme options, that will take an import of all the content.

No, I do not see a need to wait. A new demo is just going to be a new demo to import, nothing else will change. You can use the current demo to import and make changes.
A new demo example we add is simply an example of what can be done with the Avada options. All those options are already included with Avada. The new demos are mainly for marketing purposes to show customers what is possible when they buy and use Avada. Users will also be able to import then and start from it, but there is not a need to wait as all those options are already there

I see this can be done in one page parallax site, but what about the home page of a site with in independent pages – can I include video, and where can it be hosted (self-hosted, YouTube, Vimeo, etc)? Yes you can include vidoes just about anywhree. YT and V videos can be included in any slider (besides elastic slider) and in any page or post. Self hosted videos can be included in Rev, Layer, Fusion Slider)

The portfolio is what we use, for a gallery you can use the regular wordpress default gallery, or you can insert images into columns if you want but the default WP gallery is a better option. In addition to that, you can use a gallery plugin to get what you need, something like NextGen Gallery.
