Just would like to inform you. Please, check the “share” button on the “work” demo-page (screenshot number 1 is here). It doesn’t work properly under my FF. Under Chrome this feature works fine (screenshot number 2 is here).
Also I consider with SS3 list of requirements (please, see his post on the previous page). Most of hi rised make sence, because many classies WP-themes here already offered such features as default.

Can you give me more details when the “share” button issue”? I just tested on Firefox under OSX and it’s working well.
Regarding the Feature Requests – we’re already keeping a list on our HelpDesk where you can add anything you want and if it’s demanded enough – we will try to implement them.

I use the last version of Firefox under Win 8.1-64 (decktop). The share feature also doesn’t work correctly under last android (chrome). Screenshot is here. But, as I said before, it works fine under decktop Chrome and IE (I have already checked, how it works under IE too, just in case).
Why I, like other your potential customers, use the comment section here. Because we would like to buy the theme without of bugs. When I buy the PILE, I’m going using your Helpdesk, of course.
It is nice to see, how quickly your team repair all known bugs, really. I appreciate this, because it indicates me, I will have well support after buying one of your themes. Nice work!
We will test it again under that configuration. Regarding the HelpDesk – it’s because there we can better keep the stats about issues. Anyway – as long as we know about them in the end, it’s ok to post them here too. Regards

I am wondering. In your demo both logo and menu icon changes colors from dark to light when ever the background is light or dark.. I have uploaded 2 version of the logo but its not happening on mine

I did add the username and IP but no way to upgrade to latest version. I did download the files throw the night, was it not include the latest version?
There were some small changes regarding the logo colors in the last update. Here is an article about Updating a Theme that may help you. Please let me know if you succeed. Regards
I did a new install with latest updated files. Still no chance that logo can change color like your demo and Arrow keys are not looking correct on my iMac. I am also wondering how to hide/remove the project names form slider so ONLY image show up as a slider and not linked to the project? I will email you the access info you can have a look on admin.
The header menu is not showing up. When i click on the icon its is not visible.

2 questions but first: Great theme!!! Thanks for that!!! 1) Is it possible to deactivate the cart? And how can I do this? People should see products & prices but should send me an e-mail, if they want to purchase items. 2) Is it possible to make a kind of ‘members-only’ out of the shop – can I add a login-function only concerning the shop? Can I use any wordpress widgets/plugins for that – could you (can anybody) recommend one specific? Thanks a lot!

- The cart functionality is provided by the WooCommerce plugin – they may have an extension or something similar to achieve that, unfortunately there isn’t an option in the theme to do that.
- The same as above – I don’t have any experience with a similar plugin – I’m sorry about this.

Hi again! I am trying to replace the featured image using a plugin (like https://wordpress.org/plugins/featured-video-plus/ for example) this will work in other themes but not in PILE, do you have any idea (or experience) with which plugin this could work? Thanks again

Plugins of such kind will not work with Pile, I suspect, because we use a custom implementation that is meant to stretch and cover the whole area. Maybe other themes are simpler in their approach.

when you go to example the SHOP and then choose a WORK or pressing logo PILE, homepage or WORK is loading without slider. Is this a bug?
One my client is interested in this theme, but he wants it must hold these elements / options.. Would you say with certainty whether you will add something them in later updates, and orientation after how many weeks if you plan to add any of this?

Thanks. That issue is already fixed and we have an update ready (it needs approval). As for your feature requests, quite a big list. I don’t think we will implement all of those as they are quite specific. Videos is our list. A down arrow could also make it. About the slider we are already using Royal Slider for all our sliders. We also have inline galleries that can be transformed into sliders. You can find out more about Pile by consulting our documentation on help.pixelgrade.com

all these features are offered by developers default on most topics here without special requirements of customers. Moreover these functions are required in these categories theme. Of you would be expected to make these standard features to look Cool/specific and remarkably way in this theme… make this theme is cool here… For now my clients like only Parallax Stsroling portfolio… but it is not enough to get them to buy theme.

I understand that many themes here have a lot of features – unfortunately we’re not looking to bloat this theme and serve it for all purposes. We want to make it very easy to use and with exact amount of features that someone needs to showcase their portfolio.
Regarding an estimated time when we will have those features – I’m afraid I don’t have one. If you think the theme at this moment do not fit your requirements I suggest you to drop it and search for one that better fit your client needs – I’m sure that you will have another client that really likes PILE just as it is

Sure you can! If you upload just one image you will have a simple hero image, if you upload more images they will transform into a slider. Also there is an option for the height of the hero area: Full Height, One Third, One Half. Just purchased this theme and I really love it, just a couple of quick questions:
1) I’m on a Mac and when I scroll to the left or right the top layer of the website (containing the menu etc) seems to slide out of the browser – is this intentional or a weird bug?
2)Can videos be embedded into the sliders?
3) Is there any way to turn off the entry date that pops up under all the headings?

Im thinking more to use this theme as a blog / magazine more than a portfolio
1. Is it possible to use this (portfolio) page as an article (single.php) http://pixelgrade.com/demos/pile/portfolio/shades-of-blue ?2. how the images would appear? considering that i have a lot of old articles posts that have regular post formats ( featured image + title + text+ images + text …) – I like the randomness of the image grid.
3. Can I use the homepage slider as slider linked to a category?( let’s say featured cat.)
4. Can the homepage format in your demo be also the style of the blog homepage ?
4a. If yes, how easy would it be to add an ad banner ?(300×250)
5. is the homepage and blog layout have infinite scroll or is it pagination ?
I noticed two bugs and wonder if you plan on fixing them?
(Im running latest version of Chrome on Mac)
1st one: when from the blog you go inside an article, and then use the back arrow from browser to go back to blog page, it is actually doing nothing because it seems that the article loads twice. ( the second back arrow bring you back to blog page )
2nd one: is when you go inside a product page and then go back to homepage ( or anywhere else) the large cover images are gone.

Thank you for considering our theme, but right now the project layout can’t be used for the blog ( this would require some custom coding) as we haven’t envisioned this. Also we would have no way of converting your existing regular post content to a grid (this is one of the reasons we haven’t used such a custom builder for posts).

Yesterday, when I though to buy the nice unique Pile theme, I checked how the theme worked under my Android (Chrome browser for Sony Z Ultra)) too. It looks like something wrong with JS. For example, when I scroll down the homepage of demosite and then scroll to top (or click on the “Back to top” link in footer), the hero-slider stays outside of window, and I need reload the page in order to see this slider again. If my smartphone is in landscape position, I see only part of slider in this behavior (after scroll back to top of page).
Also not only for smartphone, but for decktop monitor too: if I open some post and scroll it a little down, then, when I click on the “back” button in my browser (in order to see other posts), the page just reloads firstly. I need click on the “back” browser button one more time. Another words, I must click on this button twice in order to see the previous page. Rather strange. Hope, such behavior is only on my computers (win 8/64, Chrome and FF).
Of course, as the others say here, the feature “before-next entires” is required for posts (maybe, exactly the same with portfolio-entires, this feature is nice looked there).
The menu button is invisible on dark background (http://pixelgrade.com/demos/pile/portfolio/about-face/ , for example). Also when it used the “menu is opened all time” option, the menu stripe is located inside of slider picture, which is not well, because the visitors cannot see whole picture in this case.
The question is: how many portfolios I can create with Pile theme? And are there some portfolio category filters?

Some of the issues should be solved by now. The “back” browser button and “menu” button color issues are on our ToDo list and should be solved until the next update. Regarding portfolio projects – you can have as many as you want and you can use a pagination. For filtering you can use links in the menu to the categories – other functionality is not implemented yet.

Love this theme and looking forward to the ‘lightbox’ feature, which I definitely need. I would like to know if the image zoom that you have in the journal area can also be activated for the images in the work area and whether you are working on the scrolling function, as at the moment scrolling images on a 1366×768 display causes images to scroll out of the top/bottom of the browser, leaving only part of the image visible or the image jumps out of view completely when scrolling back up, leaving the viewer with a blank area.

Sounds good. Will the ‘Pixproof’ plugin also be incorporated? Also, is it possible to allow for true ratios for images in projects so that we can have images display in their true proportions. This is very important where architecture etc. is concerned.
For now we’re not having any plans for “PixProof” integration – even if it might work as it is.
Regarding projects images (blocks) – they are not cropped at all, so you should not worry that their proportions are not kept.

It would be great if the Pixproof plugin works with the theme, it is essential to photography sites and just compliments your themes and make them unique (Is it possible for you to test it and maybe create a demo link, will only help with sales I believe). Great news on the cropping. Also, although amazing, is it possible to deactivate the fullscreen image, so the site and projects open up on the thumbs/images?
