A really long post messes up my blog page—removes the sidebar and changes the spacing on following posts on the list. I have “large” and “large” selected in my theme options>blog.
I’ve also noticed that I can’t easily change the excerpt length without causing the same kind of spacing mixups….
How do I add a really long post without messing up the rest of the page?

Most likely this is due to incorrect post conent, some of it is probably invalid markup.
Open up the post and go through it looking for any invalid markup.
Also, there is a “strip_HTML” option that removes any HTML which will result in just plain text being shown, it strips out any HTML which should alleviate the issue.

Is there any possibility to use a blog (shortcode) as a grid with different heights, only thumbnails, without text and adjust the padding sizes? Blog layout “Medium” as a grid version?
And is there any possibility to build a gallery with a grid layout, overlays, and different links on each image to a page oder post? Or do you know a plugin, which is compatible with avada?

Hmmm well it is possible but not with our out of the box options, it would require some code adjustments for sure.
For the gallery, I would check out NextGen Gallery plugin or some of the others, most can do what you suggested I believe.

Ok thanks. I will try that. I found two grid galleries:

Possible usefull for others.
I think, I can create a grid view with “Recent Works Grid” from Avada. I just miss a feature, that the work in each category will be shown as random or I can choose only those I need. At the moment, it will only show the recent works!

The recent work shortcode and others like it can have specific categories assigned, so you can control what shows based on category. If you leave category= empty, then it shows recent from latest date.

The only thing I’m missing in this theme is a well structured and nicely designed BuddyPress template like in the KLEO theme. I hope this planned for an update. The ability to add menu icons will also be great.

Yes we do have it on our list to add BuddyPress design integration, however I cannot say when that will be.
You can already use menu icons next to menu text now if you have the megamenu enabled. The icons will be next to the menu text, not by themselves.
Although the search and cart icon activated in theme options are by themselves.

Hello, I want to use Fusion Slider with an youtube video but I selected Hide Video Controls to Yes and not work, controls still be seen. Any idea how to make it no longer see the controls from youtube?

The theme can be translated into any language with our transltion files and POEdit. We have detailed docs o how to do this.
Also, we have a community project of translations where users submit their files. Yes Italian is included in that bunch. It may not be 100% translated, but I do know that al;l the front end items are, if something is missing it is only in the backend like theme options. If that is the case then you can also translate it with the included files and add anything you need to it.

You can have a blog home page with a slideshow.
Yes it works with WooCommerce.
I’m not sure of the limit of attributes, but it is many. It uses Woo so anything you can do with woo you will be able to do.

Hey there – thanks for the great theme! I’m strongly considering purchasing this theme, but I need the ability to embed music on the front page. Does Avada have the capability to embed soundcloud or spotify cleanly on the front page? If so, do you have an example? Will definitely be a purchase if it is possible.

Can I put the full width container transparent for the pc version & white for the mobile version?
The full width container cannot have a transparent background at this time, only a regular image. And there are not separate settings for desktop vs mobile, you would need to use custom CSS and target the correct media query.

Are they different forms with different credentials? If so then use the free Contact Form 7 plugin, it allows you to make unlimited forms and palce them on any page or post.

Great Effort, Pre-purchase question, is there a way to remove or modify the size of the section that is under header but before content (the one that has the breadcrumbs)? It is taking so much space?
And can I edit the background of this section from within the theme, or I need to do it by CSS.

Yes that is the page title bar, and it has a global size option in theme options > page title bar, and an individual page/post option in the fusion options box.
No CSS is needed to change the background, look in those two areas above, you can simply upload an image with the uploader.

Hi I recently bought the theme and i was wondering in there is a simple way to have a featured image on a page, post , etc (e.g. so as Facebook can pick it up) but without having it appeared as a big image at the beginning of my page! (actually i prefer if it didn’t appear at all within the page

Hmmm for blog or portfolio posts, you can disable the first featured image so it does not show. Look in the post options when making the post. There is also an option on the extras tab for pages, however I’m pretty sure Facebook will not pick the images up if they are not showing. Sorry!
