Hello- I purchased the Venus theme template in January and now require Documentation to the user guide to show coding classes for items on the site. Is a “content builder” the same as a “page builder”? Does the content builder allow me to create a new homepage layout? I like the options but I want a homepage without the huge slider at the top.

It’s your server .htaccess setting. To fix it you have to contact your webhost or change Wordpress permalink setting to default.
Pre-purchase question: Is there a way in the administrative settings to turn off the massive picture header that accompanies articles (love the lay out and while pretty—that massive top pic area is not too ad friendly) ...or would that be something that has to be done manually

If you mean post image header. Just don’t upload post’s featured image so it won’t display as background header.
so that massive pic above the article/posts is driven by featured image and there are no other lay-out options for posts at this time … correct? Not using featured image is not a good idea either because other themes rely on it.

1. You have to remove post featured image for that.
2. I recommended image at 1024px resolution. However it’s cover header area so it will be automatically adjusted to cover user screen width.

Hi. I have two problems with the theme. 1. When in Firefox, the 300×250 in sidebar would appear below the footer bar. It only happens in Firefox.
2. There’s a black space below the footer bar when viewed in other browsers and it’s not supposed to be there. There’s no code there but it’s visible on my computer. (I tried to clean cache and it’s still there.)

1. It’s used default Wordpress date time setting. I am not sure you can translate it but some plugin might help you add that. You can find plugins from Google too.
2. Currently It doesn’t support that. I will consider to add it into the future if there are many requests from customers.

When I set the height of a transparent video background on my homepage, when I resize the screen size a black strip appears under image. I use a premium version of the plugin Mail Poet. The visual editor of this plugin does not work, because the themefiles conflicts with the pluginfiles.
The developers of the plugin write me this: It seems that the theme Venus installed on your site is including many JS and CSS files it should not includes in our admin pages. So the way to go about that would be to contact the author of that theme and ask him to correct that. There is no reason these files need to be loaded in our interfaces, and it’s currently breaking them. Not only that, but that means also that it could break any other interfaces in the backend of your site.
In your comment section I have read another question about this issue. This comment says that “the theme is probably inserting files in all WordPress pages, including the MailPoet pages, and it’s breaking some functions. You should find in your theme where it’s loading these files (normally using wp_enqueue_style and wp_enqueue_script) and insert them within this conditional that is posted on github.”
Could you give me instructions how to modify the themefiles so that they are not including many JS and CSS files in the admin pages from 3rd party plugins or other functions in the backend of my website?
I hope these modifications could be done in the child-theme, to prevent problems again after updating the theme in the future.

Really sorry, I can’t support on all 3rd party plugins issue. All javascript files are loaded when user logged in as admin and this is standard in all Wordpress themes sale here.

According to the developer of MailPoet you are not analyzing the situation correctly.
It seems that the theme loads all of the css and js files he wants anywhere he wants in the backend of WordPress. MailPoet says this is a wrong assumption. The theme should load these files only where they’re needed (unless it is truly needed everywhere).

With the codes below, added in the functions.php of the (child-) theme, in my situation there are no conflicts between the theme and MailPoet:

I want to explain the picture alignment issue in more detail. If I’m working with two columns and I embed a portrait image the grey frame sits outside the column width. If I make the image smaller so the frame matches the column width exactly, the picture is not centralised within the frame. Hope this helps?
