I have the demo content renew 2 installed. If I change the button text this will also change the style of the button. Even if I add a button via Visual Composer it doesn’t have the style from the settings in the customizer tool. Style changes in the customizer doesn’t have any effect on the changed or added buttons. What am I doing wrong?
If it is a bug how can I remove the demo content completely?

How do I add a Marketing Button to my page in Integrity???? When I ‘Add Elements’ in Visual Composer, the button options do not appear. I am stuck with the universal button that I declared in the Customizer. Furthermore, even that button publishes unshapely with dysfunctional hyper-link. PLEASE HELP ASAP!!!!
I see what ONE problem is. When I open the button-generator, in visual mode, I do not have the top editing pane that I see in the training video. #Defect. I have updated all my plug-ins. Now I can get the button to appear but the text that I enter onto the button does not show…...................

2. One thing in specific that I like is on a phone/tablet images don’t have a padding and fill the viewport width. Is that possible using any combination/style/layout? Also, when using masonry or stacked image, would that be possible too?
I did and that’s why I was asking. Because the demos and features doesn’t answer the question I asked. It’s ok. Can I use a feature from one stack in another. Is it possible to use masonry, which as per the demos/features are in Integrity, in the Icon stack. I like Icon’s independent scrolling sidebar and blog style.

Virtually any page layout can be built using our blank templates, and these blank templates can be used across all Stacks. Masonry is an option you can use on the blog or portfolio with all Stacks as well. Those sort of theme features can be used across the board, for Stack specific features (that can not be mixed from Stack to Stack), please refer to the links on this page that will take you out to a page showing the unique features of each Stack when you click the loupes for Integrity, Renew, Icon, and Ethos.

Ok that explains some stuff. Thanks. One last Q for now, in Renew Demo 5 for example, or Icon Demo 4 news, can we have widgets in the navigation bar? Even if it’s not possible out of the box, is it possible through coding? I find in the Icon Demo 4 that I linked, there’s a sidebar, but I’d like to add things in the navigation pane as well.

There’s an optional header widget that you can use with any Stack, and example of this can be found in the Integrity 01 Demo (the triangle in the upper right corner). That is the closest to having a widget area in the header out of the box. You can also add widgets to the sidebar as well. Beyond that, anything is possible with the right customizations

Customers are welcome to integrate any plugin they wish, however from a support and guaranteed compatibility standpoint, we only support the integrated version of VC as it was customized to work with X. This is covered on our listing and in more detail in this article in our member center.
Hi, I’m using the integrity light child theme, but when I add styles to the style.css the parent theme is still overriding them unless I use !important? Is there a reason this is happening?

We use X on our own site and add custom CSS to the child theme templates without having to use the !important attribute, so it sounds like somethign else is going on with your particular install. I have the same problem “ironrunes” reported on a few hours ago. Yesterday I registered on the forum/support page and I was able to use it without problems, but I’ve never received the confirmation email with the password. That’s why I can’t access it using the Log in. I’ve also used the “Lost your password?” function several times but it didn’t work.

Hello, i am just starting to learn how to make a homepage. I want to make something about 4 or 5 different homepages for me and my family, all commercial homepages. Yes, you can create as many pages as you’d like with one license for one domain. Generally speaking, there is only one “home page” with everything else being sub/interior pages.

That would not be controlled by the theme but by WordPress itself. You can set which page is on the home by going to Settings > Reading in your WordPress dashboard.

Our policy related to 3rd party plugins is that unless they are integrated into the theme in some way (Revolution Slider, Gravity Forms, etc) then we can not provide official support for them. The implementation, customization, and troubleshooting of any issues that may arise is the responsibility of each customer. Technically speaking, since X was developed according to development best practices, any well developed 3rd party plugin should play nicely with X, however due to the virtually limitless nature of things that can and often times do go wrong with software, we can’t support something that we have not first developed or integrated into the theme.

With that being the case, I still will need to restrict access to certain posts within my website. I do not need payment options, coupon codes or anything fancy – just the ability to lock off posts until people “create a profile” is all. Can X do that? or Buddypress?

No as the purpose of the integration was never to use the standard plugin with its standard features. Anyone who has looked under the hood at VC knows there are many things that need, how shall we say it, fine tuning compared with how the plugin is developed out of the box. Since the tool is created to be customized on a theme by theme basis (and since many of the Shortcodes in VC we already had in X) we opted to use the page builder functionality to integrate with our own Shortcodes only allowing our customers the ability to have a drag/drop page builder interface for those who wanted it.
Great Theme but not being able to have captioned images is a complete deal breaker for me. I am making a website for an art gallery and having images with multiline captions below is a must.

There are many ways you can achieve this: 1) There is a title below each item in a Portfolio that could include a caption. 2) You could just add straight text below each image. 3) You could use one of our many text focused Shortcodes such as Promo that lets you put an image, title, and text all together.

Portfolios are an interesting feature but for my purposes with the site they do not have the flexiblity of layout I require and while you can add a title to a Portfolis item, if that item has multiple images you can not add captions to each image. Also portfolio’s are very bloggy looking and I need a very non-blog look.
Promo is a nice feature too but you cannot set the size of the image, you can make a page with multiple promo images with caption but I need to be able to set the size of each individualy and also the images in the promo don’t work with the lightbox.
The suggestion to put straight text below the image is possible but very time consuming; so, rather than have the caption that was added when the image was uploaded to Wordpress be inclulded with the image , as it is when you use the standard WP add media button, now you have to also create a text box under each image and add the caption a second time. Using the X image feature to resize an image you need to add custom styling to it such as “max-width:300px;” rather than being able to select from a drop-down one of the sizes created when the image was uploaded. However there is a quirk in X that when you resize and image it no longer will center properly in a row, so you add max-width:300px;margin: 0 auto; and then because the resized image is no longer responsive for some reason also add width:100%; to the inline styling…. Ok no big deal for a few images but I am making a site for an Art Gallery and there are hundred’s of images, with many many updates every day. The extra overhead of this is just too much for my client. I think X has many fantastic features but if they could update the image shortcode so that it functions with the abilities of the standard wordpress captioned image it would be great.

As is the case with any template, you are using a starting point, not the end solution when it comes to making it work for your specific use. If none of those options are suitable you are welcome to customize the functionality as needed, use a 3rd party plugin, and/or hire a developer to help bring your specific idea to life.
If you are having an issue with images responding, feel free to post a question in our member forum as there is something going on with your particular install as the images do not ever stop being responsive. There are also ways to add your custom styling to a child theme so you do not have to do inline CSS.

Hi guys. Need to know: my site is a Buddypress community – does this theme allow a kind of drag and drop customisation for Buddypress? I mean, does this theme make it easier to design Buddypress without getting into code? I wish we could try before we buy. Do you offer a refund if the theme isnt for me? I bought a Buddypress theme recently but to make fonts bigger etc, I need to get into the CSS which I dont want to ahve to bother with. Thanks.

You can see how the features of BuddyPress work out of the box in our demos, and keep in mind that whenever using a template there will always be customization necessary to get the desired end result. Our integrated page builder is not utilized with BuddyPress given the unique features/constraints of BuddyPress and how it is meant to function.

I installed the above plugin and cannot add such a shortcode INSIDE a container.
Outside the container all the shortcodes work.
Of Course if it can’t be added inside a container I think is useless.

Thanks for writing in! The only way that WordPress allows nesting of shortcodes is in between the opening and closing shortcode markers of any given shortcode, like so:
[parent] [child] [/parent]
Unfortunately, WordPress does not allow shortcode placement in the manner in which your example demonstrates (i.e. between the quotations for a parameter). Additionally, X does not allow for anything other than simple text output to be placed in a popover by default. You are certainly welcome to customize this functionality as needed, but this is how it works out of the box.
