The headers are fairly extensible as is (fixed top, right, left or static top – any size, optional TopBar, header widget area, creative search icons, etc) however like all other features in the theme, we will definitely be further developing new features based on customer feedback and our own development timeline.

There is not a related posts feature in the theme (there is a Recent Posts Shortcode), however there are numerous 3rd party solutions that provide this sort of functionality. Ethos was built to be a more standard magazine/newspaper type layout, however the others could be used in a similar format. Generally speaking though yes…Ethos is the Stack to use for magazine oriented sites.

It was my security setting preventing the save from taking hold.

Ideally I’d like to use 3 or 4 widgets, they also need to be responsive. Not sure if your theme support that. Pretty sure it should as it’s very useful.

No, the TopBar is not designed for that, but there is a optional header widget are that is accessible (when activated) by clicking the little + sign in the upper right corner as seen in this demo.

Yep, saw that. Really not what I need. No worries, I’ll do it in HTML. But: you should allow to use shortcode in the Topbar!
The purpose of the TopBar was for small text items on the left and social icons on the right. Shortcodes can be added virtually everywhere else, but this place had a very specific use.
I have problems with the search feature of X theme and Integrity. Whenever I search for words that have the Swedish characters Å, Ä and Ö, no search results are found. No problem when searching words with only English characters. What to do?

Not sure on that one as we are simply utilizing WordPress’ native search functionality. It might have something to do with your translation files, and regretfully we can not provide support for other languages, we simply provide the base .po and .mo files for customers to have a starting point in translating to other languages.

Could you please developp a Crowdfunding plugin for the X Theme ?
Because all the other themes built for crowdfunding are bullshit.
I lost more than 300 $ and 100 hours of work with those themes and the were full of bugs.
I have never seen a theme with this quality, simplicity to use and support quality.

after I´ve played around a little with X, I found, that I want to realize something, that is, actually not possible. So, I would love to have a new stack in Themco, enabling the following:
- menu for top and left, both mega menu enabled - logo where both menus meet each other (upper left corner)
Maybe, you can interate this? I think, this is really one of these kinds of stacks, X does not support at the moment

I am looking for a way to have a second menu… I tried different lugins… but the problem is, that there is not really a menu position that solves this.

Out of the box (without further customization), you could add a secondary type menu in the TopBar as you can see in this demo with the Other Info Can Go Up Here. Keep in mind this is just text and not an actual WordPress menu but the functionality is the same. You can also create an unlimited number of menus and place certain ones on certain pages in the sidebar to also act as a secondary menu as we do on this example demo where only this Shortcode menu shows on all parent/child pages under Shortcodes.

1) We do not have an events calendar built into the theme (or integrated into the them), but there are numerous 3rd party plugins in this space.
2) We have an example team page layout that can be seen here.
3) You can see from our changelog that updates are typically released 1-2x per month.

On the team layouts, is it possible to customize them? For example, to open a longer bio on a different page or modal box?
Anything is possible with the right customizations, however that is just one version our team came up with and provide as an example. Customers are welcome to customize as needed on their own sites post purchase.

No, those are simply Shortcodes. That is one of the great things about X. You can combine Shortcodes and different page layouts to build virtually anything. In addition, we provide an optional page builder that gives a more visual interface to laying out pages. Finally, with the 3.0 release we now have over a dozen new extensions that are included for free allowing all sorts of new functionality.
The license is for a single use, so you would simply purchase a unique license for each site in which you wanted to use X, and we work with many agencies/companies/individuals in this regard.

This theme looks fantastic. I’m very tempted. However no matter how flexible a theme is there always comes a time when you have to get under the bonnet and tweak the css and php. In my experience the more flexible a theme is via WP admin the harder it is to make amends to the code. So I really would like to know – how easy is it to modify php and css? Cheers.

There are endless possibilities before you need to change any code, but we still strive to keep X as extensible as possible, affording flexibility for developers as well. We have in depth knowledge base articles outlining best practices for extending X with child themes. This includes instruction on how to modify PHP the template and function files CSS can easily be added in a child theme, or directly into the Customizer.

1) Yes, customers can register here for access to them post purchase. Our member center and forum is also where all support is provided.
2) That would be a customization question, and the standard answer to those sorts of questions are that anything is possible, however as customizations are the responsibility of each customer we can not give specific estimates on time as it is not a core theme feature.
3) Any web host that supports WordPress. I would suggest doing research online and reading user reviews.
4) Generally speaking no, as we will always keep X updated with the latest version of WordPress.
5) That would be a question for your host.
6) Our policy related to 3rd party plugins is that unless they are integrated into the theme in some way (Revolution Slider, Gravity Forms, etc) then we can not provide support or guarantee compatibility for them. The implementation, customization, and troubleshooting of any issues that may arise are the customers responsibility. Technically speaking, since X was developed according to development best practices, any well developed 3rd party plugin should play nicely with X, however due to the virtually limitless nature of things that can and often times do go wrong with software, we can’t support something that we have not first developed or integrated into the theme.

The size is based on the orientation of your video and the amount of text in the other, so you can scale down the video to a size that matches the size of the other box based on the text you have in the other box.
