Just elaborating: I like the standard layout with image on top but I would need more freedom to create layouts beneath it. For example full width content blocks, parallax blocks etc etc

Yes, you can use Composer to create 100% custom Posts and Projects layouts.
Another major reasons that should allow use “design options” VC. it is because their functions (the7) are not 100% responsibe.
The most basic example is to select “Full-width content” with left-right padding and padding. It breaks!

Theme works exactly as you set it up.
I’m sorry mate, but this is classical example of misusing certain feature: you’ve set the paddings to 140 px. Small wonder your content shrinks on mobile device.
What you must tell me like are as is the good use, before correcting spelling mistakes.
There has to be an option to leave the narrowest column. Just as VC has.

Regarding theme responsiveness. I’m afraid I do not understand which options exactly are missing from the Composer. And how they can influence the situation with paddings? Can you please be more specific? Thanks!
Is it just me or does the new version make the pages really slow to load. Also having problems with skins. One minute the page background is one colour and then the next it defaults to the skin.

Without caching enabled, theme speed should be roughly the same as it was before. Maybe a bit faster.

I had some trouble with your new dummy content file, the XML is bigger than 15 Mb so i had problems to upload it. (Can’t modify my upload_max_filesize variable on my shared server)
Is it possible to reuse old Dummy files ? Or maybe to have new ones but smaller…

Oh, it’s highly not recommended: old content is not 100% compatible with new generation of The7 so you’ll have to re-make lots of stuff.
Can you please hold on for day or maximum two? – we will release content importer plugin. Also a compact dummy will be available at same moment.

It is roughly the same without optimization. Only slight performance increase can be caused by merging scripts and css files.
But now The7 plays much better with caching and optimization plugins. 
Hi is it possible to remove the arrows from hiding the phone number in mobile view header? As it is very important for the user to instantly see the number and click on it to make a call instead of having to click the down arrow for it to appear first.

Hi, how to update my theme to 7.2. I am using theme update in the theme options but still not changed. It stayed on V 4.4.4. Do I need to download the new theme again and use FTP to upload? I was confused about it.

There’s no dedicated “migration documentation”. Basically we recommend cloning your site to local environment, install and activate the new theme an set everything up:
- you’ll need to pay most of your attention to pages with transparent header and benefits shotrcodes – they look ugly immediately after update;
- scrollers will need adjustments of “gap between images” attribute;
- also all shortcodes that utilize masonry and grid layouts will benefit from additional setup.

Yes, because ThemeForest stores only newest version of theme: The7.2 v.1.0.0. If you need a v.4.4.5 – you’ll need to download full theme package from ThemeForest.

Unfortunately we cannot provide automated update from mk1 to mk2 because it will require people to make additional setup and not many people want to do that.
The7 mk1 updates will come in a separate folder of full theme package, as well as newest versions of plugins.
In order to update to 7.2, do we ovewrite the theme? I didn’t find update instructions.

You can use all plugins without entering purchase codes – we have dev license for them and you can use them within The7 theme.
However if you want a bit faster plugins updates, dedicated support for them or just want to support their authors – you are more then welcome to purchase a dedicated licenses.
i know now. But when I build a new page, post or portfolio, the plugin is working, but once i update the page, post or portfolio, then I do not see the plugin have the button to have me the function. I do not know why.

Hey guys! Epic theme! Used it for another project, yet now I want it for a website where there is to be a Forum included.
Is this possible in anyway to get a forum in this theme? I did not come across this when I worked with the theme last time. Is there an extension or plugin matching this theme and that works with it as well?

So, I tried to setup a local wp to test the new theme and as I imported the dummy data I found there are no pages, no posts and no products.
The media files were imported, am I missing something? I tried to import again and everything said it was previously imported, still, no pages to test.
I searched the support site and it only warns you have to work some time to use the 7.2 theme
What can I do to test the new theme pages and posts?

Investigating the issue.
At this moment I can say that demo content is failing to import on some servers PROBABLY due to relatively small PHP scripts running time setting.
Hmm… I have a localhost on my PC, using xampp with 100MB to import and time is set to one hour, I have imported files 5 times bigger 
Is it possible to have a file to import via phpmyadmin, WP tables without wp_usermeta and wp_users? that way we can have a demo to test.
Or, any advices to get this working?
At this moment you can import dummy content and skip importing media files (which you should do anyway ) – content will import correctly.
We’ll be releasing a special plugin for dummy content “2-clicks setup” in couple of days.

Hi,
I am having an issue using WPML with the theme. First of all, when is a rtl version going to be available? There is a rtl file but there are still lots of style issues in rtl.
But the main issue is that core strings from wordpress are not translated. Stuff like “comments are closed” “next”, “Previous”, etc…
I tried installing the theme without wpml and just with the hebrew wordpress and most strings are not translated. Then I tried with WPML in a separate installation, with the string translation plugin of wpml I found the strings, translated them, and still on the site nothing changed.
I also downloaded on top of that the “codestyling localization” plugin and translated strings again there, but still do not see the changes on the site.
In the codestyling plugin I get the message:” Warning: The actual loaded translation content contains mixed textdomains and is not pure translateable within one textdomain. It seems, that there is code contained extracted out of other plugins, themes or widgets and used by copy & paste inside some source files. The affected unknown textdomains are: rwmb, envato “
Please assist, I may be missing something simple.

I also get this message: Error: The actual loaded translation content does not match the textdomain: presscore Expect, that any text you translate will not occure as long as the textdomain is mismatching! This is a coding issue at the source files you try to translate, please contact the original Author and explain this mismatch.
