Simple question. I just bought your theme and was wondering where you upload the slideshow pictures. I tried uploading them through the slider items, but the pics dont show up. Is there a specific size? PLease inform me soon.

The default slider size is 960×440. You can follow the document about how to add slider item.
If the image still doesn’t show, please follow the steps below
please follow the steps below
1) give ‘striking/cache/’ folder with 777 permissions. make sure ‘striking/cache/skin.css’ file is with 777 permissions also ‘striking/cache/images/’ folder with 777.
2) give ‘striking/framework/helpers/optionGenerator.php’ with 777 or 755 or 644 permissions also give ‘striking/includes/timthumb.php’ file with 777 or 755 or 644 permissions. If 777 doen’s work, please try 755
3) go to ‘striking’->‘color’ option page. Make some changes. Then click ‘save changes’ button. Then go to front, if the color still can’t work, please contact your host manager.
4) if the color setting works. But slider doesn’t work, please follow:
a) check your website url.
Timthumb doesn’t work with the url with ’~’ symbol. Please change your url, then have a try.
b) check if your server have GD library installed.
c) check if your server have mod_security settings that are impeding the scripts functionality

You can follow the steps below:
1) Go to ‘sriking’->‘footer’ option page.
change ‘Sub Footer Right Area Type’ to ‘Menu’
2) Go to ‘Appearence’->‘Menus’ option page.
Create a new menu,
Then on ‘Theme Locations’ panel, choose ‘Striking Footer Menu’ with the menu you just created.

@zeamado your site loads pretty quickly – we recorded 1.1 seconds when we went to it, but if you go to the “Advance” tab of the Striking options while in your WP admin, and scroll to the bottom of the page you will see options to combine Javascripting and CSS which should enable even faster site loading.
@zhenqing1982 no it does not. It does have colorpickers integrated into many of the features so that you can change header, footer, page background, fonts, hovers, etc to whatever you want, but it does not have a color picker sitting on the front page like you see in the demo so that anyone surfing to your site can change the color to what they desire.
@tracycb If you are on skype voice, and still having issues, we can spare a few moments to give you a quick tour on how to do some of the simpler stuff, enough to get you going. We are on Eastern Standard Time so not sure where you are but if that works for you, post another message here with your email, and we will tee up something. Guarantee you that a 15 minute tour and you will be ready to design to your heart’s content – Striking has a lot of features and generally is very easy to work with. There is a ton of info in the support forum but it may be overkill for getting you started.

You can enable combine js feature in ‘striking’->‘advance’ option page.
It will reduce http load. And it will speed up the site.
If it not enough, you can try some cache plugin to speed up the wordpress.
