can you check, if i click “login for return visitors”, opens and closes automatic, cant type anything into login field
https://demo.astoundify.com/listify/checkout/This issue is fixed and does not happen on my local installation of the theme.
Cheers! Adam
It is not fixed, the functionality has been removed
I have deeply reviewed this theme and at first it looked great but mtotrakan made a good point when they said the theme requires plugins that you have to pay for to make it really work. You are suggesting plugins that range from $29 to $199 per plugin. You recommend these in your FAQ and so obviously you are an affiliate or something.
No offense that you are trying to make a buck, but any other theme has features built into it. Your theme has lots of plugins that you have to buy separately and it is more expensive then any other listing theme out there.
Then you say the lack of responses is due to overwhelming responses to your theme. I have seen more responses on other themes and they all get answered timely.
I am really wary about your theme and think other buyers need to look at it as well, because you are suggesting paid add on’s that work with your theme, so what is it just a shell? That is like buying a car then being told you need to buy the transmission, engine, wheels, etc. and you just basically bought the body of the car.
I do not even know why Evanto listed this because it is a investment of hundreds of dollars if you follow every suggestion needed in that FAQ to make the theme run correctly when you can buy a theme for $58 on here that runs out of the box.
To each their own but if no one believes me then go to the FAQ page and see how many plugins this requires and count how many of them cost money then add it all up and you will be paying over $400 at least and I stopped counting halfway down the list.
Sorry but it looks like we weren’t clear when it comes to plugins you can use with our Listify theme, sorry about that, but hopefully this clears things up.
Clearing up the myths that this theme costs $400+ dollars.
Question: Do I have to use the plugins as described in your sales page?
No, you don’t. When using Listify you can use it without any of the paid plugins for a directory that allows people to post listings for free, and when you want to start charging listing owners to list a on your site you will need a plugin called WC Paid Listings, the cost of that plugin is 39 dollars. So far you have spent 100 dollars for a site that allows you to make money from listing owners, thats great value!
Now lets say you want to charge a subscription to the listing owners you can either use the official WooCommerce subscriptions plugin or you can use this plugin that costs 29 dollars, which we think is fair when you are collecting money from listing owners weekly/monthly/yearly, so now the cost of your website is around 129 dollars which is really not that expensive when you are collecting money from listing owners.
Now lets say you want to add Social Login on your site, you can use this free plugin to do that, or the official WooCommerce plugin, and lets say you want to allow listing owners to post deals, coupons, products on your site, then you can use this free plugin it can be downloaded from WordPress.org.
If you want listing owners to be able to display a booking system along side their listings then there are many different ways to do that, either with OpenTable, Resurva, Guestful, or with the WooCommerce Booking plugin. Keep in mind if you don’t need a booking system on your site then you don’t need the plugin or to use the third party services.
If you research WooCommerce plugins you will see there are many free and low cost alternatives. We simply recommend the official plugins as being completely compatible.
To read more about why the premium plugins are not bundled with the theme check out these articles regarding the issue.

Is it possible to have shops list products with prices and small item-description. Then users search for a product, for example flowers and the search-result lists all offers concerning flowers in his radius.
The site should help users to find offers/products independend from which shops offer them.
So the core of the site is about product-offers and not so much about the shops offering them.
Does this work?

Hi,
Great theme. We are setting up this theme for a website explore places in India. We would like to do the following:
- Search for cities in the map. (The way your search works right now but with cities as lisitings). Such listings should be not be submitted from front end.
- Allow frontend users to submit listings for a particular city (restaurant, hotels, etc).
- When a City listing is clicked, it shows a map with submitted listings for that city. (which shows restaurants, hotels, etc in that city) I would see this as a possibility if you provide a shortcode for the map listing feature (for example [maplist location=”Chicago” Categories=”Hotels” Tags=”5Star, 4Star”])
Is this possible in any way?
Regards, Ishank
Hello Adam!
congratulation to your success! Your theme looks very promising.
1 day ago I placed an important question concerning “User Notification”. Maybe you will find the time to answer it.
When looking at marketplace/directory-themes I evaulate the usability and effectiveness in real life… One thing do they miss all:
A simple day-by-day statistic for a shop: So the shops can see how many users saw/clicked their specials/offers etc. This – in my opinion – is a must, as there should be a possibiltity to estimate the effectiveness of offers!
Let´s face it… in real life no one will continuously place specials/offers without knowing if it was effective.
Best regards, Harry
It should be that the WooCommerce Products Vendors plugins should add the statistics features so that shop owners can see what was clicked on, a in-depth sales reports statistics panel. This is not something the theme should handle.
I would recommend adding the feature request for a reports statistics panel to the developers of those plugins, the free version or the official version. It may be already be possible but I have done the research to see if it is possible.
Sorry for the delay in response. We’ve been overwhelmed by the response to the Listify theme, thus far its been getting great reviews.

Sent us a message? We’re on it!
We have been truly overwhelmed by the response to our new theme Listify.Thank you for all the great comments, suggestions and feedback so far. We are working diligently to respond to everyone’s messages. As you can imagine we are under a high load of support and pre-sales questions since the new theme release, our apologies.
Thanks for investing your time in contacting us, we are getting through the backlog of messages, and will be responding as soon as possible to your message.
The espresso machine is working over time as well!
Thanks so much! Adam
Lovely Theme… While I am interested in Buying and starting the configuration process I am concern on the customer Support with the theme given roughly 40% of the questions ask aren’t answered. I am however excited to see you’ve put together a Pre-Sales FAQ, should be helpful for those of us interested in the theme.
USER REGISTRATION The question I have is about User Registration, meaning Not Paid Listing accounts. A person who would favorite a listing and want to contact the business. Right now it seems as only Paid Listing accounts could login and register by creating a listing.
FAVORITE/BOOKMARKS This is the one feature which is holding me back as I think a listing Engine needs a favorite capability and for users to create account so I can mine registered user contact data. I know you offer the bookmark plugin integration but allowing registered (not paid listing) users be able to view all bookmarks from dashboard.
USER REVIEWS I also see that the theme has option allowing users to review a business, yet no ability for (NONE-Paid Listings) users who leave these reviews to view reviews in there dashboard. Similar Paid Listing Users should be able to see who/or be notified they have a new review.
INTERNAL MESSAGING Additionally a great feature would be to keep Messages inside the system. Meaning Users who sent messages to Business should be able to have place in user control panel where messages are stored and response from Paid Listings could be viewed.
Understanding these features take time and resources. I am willing to donate to these features being developed faster. Possible Start a Donation Page to help speed up features development.
1. User Registration: With WooCommerce you can enable site registration, we decided to disable it on our demo to prevent a ton of spam sign-ups. We will also be releasing a free WooCommerce plugin called “WooCommerce Simple Registration” that will allow a site owner to place a shortcode onto a page, and the only form that will show is the registration form along side the social login option.
2. When you have an account created using the WooCommerce registration form and not having to create a listing, anyone can favorite/bookmark listings, so this is a moot point.
3. Great feature suggestion. These are the types of feedback and ideas we are looking for, we are currently just working on the “kinks” if there are any before we start adding a ton of new features, we need to understand what customers are using Listify for and the types of features they need, if the demand is large enough we will add the feature.
4. This is possible with a plugin called Applications it allows user messaging and is something we plan on adding. See more details here: http://themeforest.net/item/listify-wordpress-directory-theme/9602611/comments?page=10#comment_8589921
Thanks for taking time to write your thoughts on how we can improve Listify, if you have any questions just write back.

I’m in love with this theme! I’m a fan of the Jobify theme and I’ve been waiting for this one for quite a while, and you guys didn’t fail to deliver, excellent theme!
Pre-sales question.
Only little thing that is bugging me is the amount of space on the screen that the filters are taking up on my PC. As a user I’d like to immediately see some results and not have to scroll down to see them. Would it be possible to do the same as the mobile version and toggle the filter?
Thanks! And please tell me it’s possible, I really want to update my directory theme lol ( I’ve gone through 2 and this one beats both by miles! )
And just to know if you guys are thinking about adding a “User type” when signing up, like you guys have with the Jobify, that would be great for lets say businesses & “regular” users…. thanks!
Great feature requests! We plan on extending the user role types in an upcoming version of the Listify theme.

Pre-purchase question:
I am wanting to use this for my brokerage to list properties, but I also want to sell products. Does this theme allow for me to both have listings and also have normal store functionality to sell other products?
Thanks in advance for answering!
You can sell products using WooCommerce and have a listing site to list properties with the Listify theme.
Cheers! Adam
Theme is great but the team created this theme for selling more paid plugin… I bought Marketify and Jobify theme but I didn’t do anything without paid plug-in. Everything is related with these. If you want standard theme, not specify one than you can buy it. But if you become pro and earn money then you must buy paid plug-in…Again I said, theme is great, idea is great but perspective is about earn more money…
GLWS…

Thanks, love your mockups!

Wow, thank you Adam!

I know you are busy and there are a lot of comments here lately, but I really need a response on one thing before I can go ahead and purchase:
Where can I test-drive the USER backend? Is there a registration page?
Just to clarify, the social login feature DOES NOT work on the demo.
Does not?
Not for me, at least!
And sorry for the caps, I should have used the strong tags instead.
Can you please clarify whether or not a user can register without submitting a listing.
Do this.
Create a listing here: https://demo.astoundify.com/listify/submit-listing/ in doing so you are creating an account, pay for a listing, you can use the card number 4242424242424242 with any CVC and a valid expiration date.
Once you pay, go to the dashboard here: https://demo.astoundify.com/listify/my-account/listings/
Let me know if you have any issues
Social login works fine as I see tons of people signing up on the demo, so its not an issue with the Social login plugin.
Cheers! Adam
Yes, oddly enough I was able to login using Facebook by clicking through using another link. It was clearly a random issue on my end, my mistake.
My client wants customers to be able to login, add reviews, ‘favorite’ restaurants, sign up for mailing lists, claim discounts/coupons, etc.
We also want to setup SMS alerts (with the use of a specific plugin). Will I be able to create my own form fields on the user profile page (e.g. telephone number)?
What I really need to know is; will I be able to do all of the above more or less without the need for extensive custom programming/customization. (e.g. more than just installing a few plugins).
SMS alerts is a custom feature, perhaps the Alerts plugin could be extended to support both email and SMS alerts.
Anyone can login, create an account add reviews, favorite, sign up for mailing listings, claim discounts, coupons with the Listify theme this is the themes purpose.
Thanks
Cheers! Adam
Can we edit the PHP code on listings e.g. changing stars rating to +1 or likes or thumbs up?... Please letme knw if that is possible.
You would need to customize PHP code to change ratings to likes/thumbs up a developer would need to customize the theme to add this feature.
Cheers! Adam
Hi, Is there a way to sort the listings. Eg. by price, date, customfield. Thanks
You cannot sort Listings that have WooCommerce products attached to them and sort by price.

I was surprised with the theme until you see the article that says we have to buy all plugins, no one can pay the absurd that is charged. I think you as a developer should have created the theme on top of other plugins, because these are not all going to be able to buy. Theme like how it is in the demo. Bad with that much premium plugin is impossible!
Have any suggestions for similar plugins?
Thank you.
Please review: http://listify.astoundify.com/article/260-why-does-this-theme-require-plugins
Also understand we are just showcasing the official WooCommerce plugins, you don’t have to use official plugins if you don’t want to example: for subscriptions you could use this plugin for vendor management you could use this, for social login you could use this. etc…
There are many options, we just showcase the official plugins.
Cheers! Adam

Thank you for the clarification. This theme is friendly Google searches?
Yes we have added Schema.org markup
Hi,
PreBuy ques:
Is there any limit of number of listings can be added to site. Initially I am thinking to launch it for a city but later for many cities. Will adding around 5000 listings cause any performance imapct?
I would also recommend reviewing our pre-sales FAQ as it may answer many of your questions.
Cheers! Adam
Is there a way to use the map feature for different region that has special character on the city name? i.e in China
Thank you

Pre Sale questions.,
1. Is there a way to only allow the users to browse by location? 2. Is there anyway to make this compatible with iE9 or iE8?
You can search by location, browse by location example: https://demo.astoundify.com/listify/listing-region/san-francisco/
We do not plan to add I.E.8/9 support those browsers are just too old and are security vulnerable.
Cheers! Adam
Hi there,
Looks great! One question, can you easily generate a list of, let’s say, the email addresses of the listings? Or any other kind of information?
Thanks!
Sorry for the delay in response. We’ve been overwhelmed by the response to the Listify theme, thus far its been getting great reviews.
You can export all email addresses that have created a listing with the Export to CSV plugin https://wordpress.org/plugins/export-users-to-csv/
Cheers! Adam
great! thank you!
