“If you want listing owners to be able to display a booking system along side their listings then there are many different ways to do that, either with OpenTable, Resurva, Guestful, or with the WooCommerce Booking plugin. Keep in mind if you don’t need a booking system on your site then you don’t need the plugin or to use the third party services.”

Each listing owner have to have their own accounts from one of these plugin providers in order for the booking system to work?

Look like the WooCommerce Booking plugin is only for one person when you purchase.

Yes! Just so I’m clear. WooCommerce Booking will allow multiple listing owners to be able to offer bookings?

As confirmed by Mike Jolley lead developer of WooCommerce

“If vendors have regular product edit access, they have booking product access” – Mike Jolley

Hello, nice theme. Is there any way or option to remove geographic location and map from listings since I need directory without Google map and location? I actually need listings of web-sites only.

Thanks.

Yes, please see: http://listify.astoundify.com/article/533-is-it-possible-to-remove-the-sidebar-map-from-the-listings-results-page

http://listify.astoundify.com/article/519-does-the-listify-theme-allow-non-location-based-listings

You can also remove all of the location fields from the submission form using a plugin such as the Field editor plugin.

Sorry for the delay in response. We’ve been overwhelmed by the response to the Listify theme, thus far its been getting great reviews.

Thanks so much! Adam

Hey guys,

So I’ve purchased the theme, installed and added dummy content. Couple things are happening:

1) The home page search – if I select a category and hit the search button it does nothing – I lose the category field and it stays on the home page

2) listings – there is no map and it doesn’t display the dummy listings. This can’t be accessed from the home page as the search button does nothing. If I create a single page and add the {jobs} shortcode to it, all I get is a blank space and the listings search bar. it shows as 1 result burt there is nothing.

I love the theme and I’m excited to use it…but this is pretty frustrating when it’s breaking 1/2 hour in to installation. I’m sure it’s something on my end…but would appreciate some help.

thanks Darryll

Also, under further review, there are more glitches. If I click on one of the featured listings on the home page and view one of the listings, the sidebar has “apply for this job” and a bunch of broken text under the contact info. I’ve tried to remove the widget and reinstall with no luck. Same error. Also, if you try to add a review, as soon as you click on one of the stars to give a rating it refreshes the page and wipes out what you have entered.

If you have follow up question please reply to his message if you haven’t already BTW: Can we post comments for support in the support area, this will really help me as I can just focus on pre-sales questions :)

thanks guys for all the help. Just so everyone knows..the issues that I experienced had nothing to do with the theme…but rather a couple modifications that had to happen with my server. With the small tweaks the theme works perfect!!!

Thanks for your answers Adam.

Pre buy ques :

In the result listings page , how the results are sorted or coming? Can admin modify the listings results so that our premium customers will be on top ?

Also i see that currently there is no sorting can be applied on listings by users like popularity, new first etc? is it in your near roadmap?

When a listing has purchased the “featured” / “premium” package, those listings will be display at the top example: http://dl.dropbox.com/u/1657501/Screenshots/rub47unxsgp2.png

More details: http://listify.astoundify.com/article/512-how-does-a-listing-get-featured

We will add new features like more sorting options over time to the theme/plugins.

Thank you very much for answering and replying to my questions! I wish you a lot of success. Best regards Harry

No problem Harry!

Hey – Have You Release The Demo – Admin?

Not a the moment, right now we are busy with other priorities such as making updates to the theme and plugins, customer support.

Cheers! Adam

Ok. Cool. I will just purchase and figure it out. :)

How can I set up the signup /signin function without the Woocommercial Social login?

Enable the option in WooCommerce:

WooCommerce > Settings > Accounts > Enable: Enable registration on the “My Account” page

can i use this theme for hotel listings and bookings – and use woocommerce default payment gateways for payments.

You can list hotels, venues, shops, businesses anything you would like, you can customize the submission form using the field editor plugin and take bookings using the WooCommerce bookings plugin and use any payment gateway supported by WooCommerce.

Hi, looks awesome, great work!

I want to offer free listings for every business (with some limitations, if possible) and then have an option those businesses to purchase a ‘premium’ listing which offers more options- or perhaps they would be ‘featured’ on the homepage or something similar?

Is this possible with this theme without any code mods?

Thank you

In the future you will have more control of pricing packages and what fields display on the submission form, example the free package does not display image upload, video upload, limit text that can be input in the fields etc, basically a lot more options.

We will be shortly releasing a new Advanced “Claim A Listings” plugin, it will allow the business owner to take ownership over that listing and they can either pay a one off fee, or a subscription to the site owner. And it will even support WooCommerce so that the checkout process will be simple.

I would recommend adding your email to our mailing list or follow us here on Twitter for theme & plugin updates & here on ThemeForest for our new theme releases.

Hi Adam, and thank you.

There are 2 ways to get businesses in the directory: The info can be entered by the business owner or the info can be entered in the backend by an admin.

So just so I’m clear (because we plan on buying a biz directory by end of year): In Listify at this time I cannot charge a one-time / recurring fee for claiming a listing in the front-end but I can setup a one-time / recurring fee for joining the site from the front end, correct? I’d like to know what exactly can be monetized and what can’t be. Do I need to download WooCommerce Subscriptions Extension?

I’ll be honest, the details page is somewhat confusing when it comes to what features exactly can be monetized with or without extensions.

I know your overwhelmed so I hope to hear from you at your earliest convenience.

Thank you!

Keep an eye on Astoundify.com for the new advanced “Claim A Listing” plugin, the plugin will work along side WooCommerce so that you can charge a user to claim a listing and then either charge them a one off fee to list or a subscription.

Cheers! Adam

Sorry…one more question – do you offer custom work on your theme?

thanks!

If you need help customizing Listify please get in touch with Travis from WerkPress or contact a customization service over on Envato Studios, we just don’t have time for custom development, sorry about that.

Thanks so much! Adam

Hey guys,

Wow…love the theme! Will definitely purchase but curious about a couple things:

1) The current directory theme that I’m working with allows me to create pages based on specific neighbourhoods and/or business listings. Does your theme have that capability? Maybe a shortcode to plug in listings and map for a specific area? Essentially I need to be able to create a page with content, listings for a specific area/industry and potentially mapping.

2) Creating individual pages – I’m assuming your widget platform has a similar capability of Visual Composer? half columns, 1/3, 2/3, etc etc?

thanks Darryl

Sorry for the delay in response. We’ve been overwhelmed by the response to the Listify theme, thus far its been getting great reviews.

You can create regions using the Predefined Regions plugin and then assign listings to those regions, it will display on a map https://demo.astoundify.com/listify/listing-region/new-york-city/

We are adding a widgetized page, so you will be able to create a page and add any widgets to that page, we will need to design some different column designs for single pages. If you have ideas give me a shout. This will come in a future update of Listify.

Thanks so much! Adam

Is it possible to add a captcha to the review-section?

We will add captcha support to the review section in a future update of the Reviews plugin.

Thank you for the suggestion.

Cheers! Adam

Are there any backend screenshots or login details?

Do this.

Create a listing here: https://demo.astoundify.com/listify/submit-listing/ in doing so you are creating an account, pay for a listing, you can use the card number 4242424242424242 with any CVC and a valid expiration date.

Once you pay, go to the dashboard here: https://demo.astoundify.com/listify/my-account/listings/

Cheers! Adam

The Returning Customer Form do not work: https://demo.astoundify.com/listify/checkout/

When I click on the button, it expand and minimalize in the same time. I can’t type anything in it.

When I resize the Site, there is a gap on top of the page: https://demo.astoundify.com/listify/listings/

We disabled the option in the demo but it works fine on my local site that i’m developing.

Refresh the page once you resize the window, this issue does not effect mobile browsers.

User: Rocherw Had some EXCELLENT Points and Suggestions

Having Configured and Owning your Jobify Theme is it possible to Integrate the Application Plugin and have it works as a Messaging Feature. It has all the right features and allow logged in Paid Users the ability to see on Frontend messages ability to respond to also.

Given

The applications plugin for WP Job Manager is a great suggestion for this feature as it already has lots of the functionality that is needed, we will need to review the plugin and see if it suitable.

We are currently just working on the “kinks” if there are any before we start adding a ton of new features, we need to understand what customers are using Listify for and the types of features they need, if the demand is large enough we will add the feature.

Thanks again for your suggestions, we are listening and reviewing all suggestions

Cheers! Adam

In re the klphair comment about the cost of paid plugins, I tallied $638 for a single user, 1 year only support, list of paid plugins needed to replicate the demo. Huh?

Is there a demo that shows only what the theme + included plugins will look like? thx.

Sorry but it looks like we weren’t clear when it comes to plugins you can use with our Listify theme, sorry about that, but hopefully this clears things up.

Clearing up the myths that this theme costs $400+ dollars.

Question: Do I have to use the plugins as described in your sales page?

No, you don’t. When using Listify you can use it without any of the paid plugins for a directory that allows people to post listings for free, and when you want to start charging listing owners to list a on your site you will need a plugin called  WC Paid Listings, the cost of that plugin is 39 dollars. So far you have spent 100 dollars for a site that allows you to make money from listing owners, thats great value!

Now lets say you want to charge a subscription to the listing owners you can either use the official  WooCommerce subscriptions plugin or you can use this plugin that costs 29 dollars, which we think is fair when you are collecting money from listing owners weekly/monthly/yearly, so now the cost of your website is around 129 dollars which is really not that expensive when you are collecting money from listing owners.

Now lets say you want to add Social Login on your site, you can use  this free plugin to do that, or the official WooCommerce plugin, and lets say you want to allow listing owners to post deals, coupons, products on your site, then you can use this free plugin it can be downloaded from WordPress.org.

If you want listing owners to be able to display a booking system along side their listings then there are many different ways to do that, either with  OpenTableResurvaGuestful, or with the WooCommerce Booking plugin. Keep in mind if you don’t need a booking system on your site then you don’t need the plugin or to use the third party services.

If you research WooCommerce plugins you will see there are many free and low cost alternatives. We simply recommend the official plugins as being completely compatible.

To read more about why the premium plugins are not bundled with the theme check out  these articles regarding the issue.

Do you have below functionality in this theme? please confirm. if not when are you going to implement?

1. Bulk import/export user data

2. Auto backup

3. SEO compatibility

4. WPML READY

5. Advance search

6. User personalize page

7. is it possible user to control minimize or maximize the google map in home page

8.SEO optimized

9. RTL, WPML

10 Translation Support,

11. Social login

Thanks
