Enable Instructor Privacy in WPLMS Options panel. After this the instructors can only view the titles but not the content in them.

Hola, I have just installed this awesome lms on my wordpress. I have few queries regarding course content. I have created two instructors and I want all the instructors to only see their own uploaded content. Where as when I uploaded any content in a unit from any instructor it’ll be available to all other instructors as well which is a very huge issue and in my point of view a bug in this LMS because I am sure any instructor would not like that any other instructor could download his content or has access of it. Similarly any unit I create is visible to all the instructors and can add that unit to their course. Is it possible that I keep things private to each instructor.
Go to WP Admin -> WPLMS option panel -> Course Manager -> Instructor privacy set to yes. This will restrict all instructors from viewing the content of other instructors including the uploaded media files.
Thank you for answering this query. I am glad you guys took care of it. One last question and my major concern. I noticed that if I upload any video other than mp4,ogg,webm like in .mov format then that video could not linked to the lecture and user cannot view that. Isn’t it possible somehow on uploading any other format video it gets converted to .mp4 and then gets embedded as html5 video? Can you kindly let me know how is that possible? I managed to get it done through FFMEPG on my other website don’t you have similar thing implemented for your theme? I’ll really appreciate your help on this as well.

Video conversion is not implemented in the theme. We’re using WordPress inbuilt html5 Media player for videos in the theme. To remove videos from attachments refer this video : http://quick.as/V47Qhjjo

Assuming that you want to add a “Start Date” filter in the Course filers widget. Yes, this can be added. Please create a support topic on forums for this.

Simply create a blank page and connect the page to WP Admin -> Settings -> BuddyPress -> Pages -> Course and it will automatically start showing course directory on this page.
You can add this. Go to WP Admin -> Appearance -> Widgets and add the Course Filter widget in the BuddyPress sidebar.
thanks but the Course Filter widget does not appear in the list of the widgest. i have the 1.8.2 version.
To be precise it is called as “BuddyPress Course Filter Widget” and it was available in the 1.8.2 version. Make sure the plugins are also updated to the latest version.

I am having an issue once a student signs in.Here are the steps I follow:
1. Launch the Home Page 2. Click on All Courses 3. Select a Free course 4. Click on a Free course and then click “Take Course” 5. It displays a message to either Register or Login 6. I click on Login and then enter student credentials 7. Once I hit submit, it goes to the home page rather than the Course page from which I can Start the Course.
Can you please tell me what settings or what code change I need to do to ensure that once the student logs in,he goes back to the course page he was viewing before

I have a little concern about updating to the newest theme.
I was able to update all the Plugins, however within the “Updates” tab I did not see the New Theme version (v 1.8.3). I have clicked the “Check again” button several times and still didn’t the theme.
My second issue: why am I still receiving this message?Failed to connect to marketplace.envato.com port 80: Connection timed out

The theme update was approved 14 hours ago. Please try clicking on check again. The second issue is also resolved in the latest update.
I’ve clicked on the “Check again” button over and over, it still did not show me the theme.
You may have to try the manual update method. Also create a support ticket on support.envato.com on this. Your credentials are fine and we can update the theme using the details you’ve provided to us via emails.

Hi sorry me again. I am trying to insert the shortcode of courses by a certain category in a post sort of layout. I know I can do this via page builder but I need the actual code that I can paste onto my page – I want to arrange this inside of tabs. So for example if I wanted to add the Showcase courses which is in your Services Demo page, what code would I need to post in the Tab Content area here:

The problem is that all pages have the page builder and I can’t actually find the code to paste.
Also, is it possible to have nested tabs? What would be a code for that – my tab shortcode generator doesn’t work – insert code button is hidden behind tab builder.

Hi we’ve now added a Generated Shortcode feature for Pagebuiler which lets you grab the Page builder generated shortcodes for various elements. Refer this tip . You can use these elements and add them in a nested shortcode. Hope this helps.

Your tabs are good but my client has alot of content and is insisting on using this format. It is a jquery plugin that is able to be adapted for wordpress but there are just a couple of bugs – some page loads it is fine but then others it breaks. Is there some way I could email you the link with a description of the problem and you can see if you could help? It may be a simple issue and if you can help me happy to pay / purchase the theme a couple more times. If not I understand, do you know of any freelance guys that know your theme well? Thanks alot. Assuming that the tabs plugin you’re using does not work on units loaded in a course. That could be because the plugin you’re using may not be ajax compatible. However, there is a small trick shared in forums using which you can fix this. Simply add the tabs shortcode in the Course status page and re-take the course. The tabs in course status would force the shortcode to load scripts on the course status page and it would work as expected for units as well.

The strings in the screenshot are located in various plugins, few are located in Vibe Custom Types others are located in BuddyPress. Refer link on how to translate BuddyPress.

How do we set default/welcome page in first load into ‘home’ page, so far I have to type url <mydomain>/home , I want just type <mydomain> then showing the home page, like in your demo that showing the slider image in home page
If you used the One click setup it would have automatically setup on the homepage and the slider. If you’re just starting out then I would highly recommend you to use one click setup ( link ).
Solution : Go to WP Admin -> Settings -> Reading -> Static Page and select “Home” and save settings. For slider Go to WP Admin -> Layerslider -> Import sample sliders -> Click on import all sliders.

This issue was already marked in the issue log and has been resolved in the Vibe Course module update to version 1.8.3. Please update the plugin to latest version.

The update 1.8.3 was released 10 hours ago. Please update the theme to latest version. The issue arises because you’ve disabled Notifications component in WP Admin -> settings -> BuddyPress -> Components -> Notifications, enable it to fix the issue asap. We’ve added this check in the latest update.
